Kind of a dub avante garde approach on this one. Nice crisp mix, some nice work done on it for sure. Nothing to critique here. An interesting approach and an interesting song. Very nice percussion elements throughout. I enjoyed it. Well done!

Bear, I appreciate your input. I always enjoy feedback from a music enthusiast. I honestly am not sure what sound I was shooting for on this one but once we wrote the song we knew it was worth sharing. Thanks!

Søren, first let me say I'm so sorry for your loss. Words usually fall short in expressing the pain associated with those times. However, music always expresses the emotion.

This is a beautiful tribute and one I know your mother would be proud of.

Words fail me at times like this. I feel your pain. And appreciate the way you have expressed it. Thanks for sharing this emotional piece with all of us. Hang in there. It does get better.

I hope you are well my friend.

on 100 Seconds spanish guitar dueT of Me ft Mysef by deciBel
My brother Benham, I hope this finds you well.

This is fantastic work, absolutely fantastic. You have magic in your fingers, a feeling that comes only with years and years of devotion to an instrument. This is as good as it gets.

I have been traveling quite a bit, and I downloaded this one to listen to in my car on those long trips (thank you so much for allowing us to download this).

There are times when it is good to simply sit back, close your eyes, and enjoy the show. That is what you have done for me today.

Bravo maestro, bravo! Extremely well done from start to finish. I will now stand and applaud your performance!!!

I hope all is well.

My friend Behnam, I hope you are well. I finally have a few moments to spare so I can catch up with some of my favorite musicians.

Wonderful track, jazz/fusion at its best. I love your use of dynamics and tempo changes. This is fabulous work....my only critique is the abrupt ending, but that is just being picky :) You continue to perform at such high levels. This is stellar work my friend.

I hope all is well with you. I will return soon. Take care.

Bear

Master ,Hi I was looking to lloperman buT was not online,
when I saw who has commented for me , I was convinced to come to appreciate exclusivelY your critique .
it's very good to see your mastership carefull attention.
yes , I'm agree with U , generallY as U can see in my reply to other friend like Domenico & BrandY my friends or master cunningham, personalY I categorize this as a subordinate level of my trials.and reason is 2 things :
1_usage of loops=nothing is written in this trial , all are loops..not from looperman maybe..but royalty free loops.
2_issues like that true critque of yours + if we think musical form of this trial is ( A _ B + A' _ B' } I don't like the way Part A goes to B or B goes to A or as U say the way trial is going to finish(abrupt was the proper word_and thnX for teaching me a new english word).that still doesn't convinces me . but these reasons made me upload this cause I was sure between U,Ed,Franco,or Dan at last someone will tell me what to do.Bear do U remember when We got friend?when U had written '' not sure if anyone care ''.
I feel the same ..but also I feel'' who is important to care..''?...''what is importance & why there should be any importance ''?...why there is a what and what is whY in our head? ...and I've changed to someone who doesn't enjoy ovations in looperman anymore..even don't feel that mood to
want express myself by music...why we should express ?...why
music should express our subjective world?..why sometimes ''never mind'' doesn't work ?

on The Fool by theHumps
Hey Wayne, I really enjoyed this one. Living out here in the middle of the desert, not too far from some pretty cool gold mines and ghost towns, this song fits perfectly. I'm going to download it (thanks for that) and then play it on the IPod as I wander through the ruins trying to imagine what the old towns looked like in their heydays.

Outstanding effort. Hope all is well down in sunny Florida.

You should get a metal detector and find lost gold in all your travels through those old towns and mines like those guys on that Diggers show, lol!

Hi Bear! Glad you liked the track, has a bit of that western feel, guess the electric git has the tremolo and reverb to help with that feel. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on this one.

Wish you allowed comments on your tracks, see you have a new cinematic track, nice dubby, glitchy, cinematic track. Sounds great. So you're on a cinematic fix, can't wait to hear more. I guess I just gave you a review on your track!! I beat the system!!

on 100 seconds pianO for thinking to deaf people by deciBel
My dear friend,

First let me say I have not received any of your emails. The only message I got was the one just now through Looperman. I believe my government (or perhaps yours) or perhaps both governments have intercepted our attempts to communicate. So, unfortunately, we may have to only communicate through Looperman. I do hope you have been well. I have been extremely busy and limited in the amount of time I have here on Looperman. Please know that I would never forget my friend, or what you have taught me these past years.

I truly enjoyed this piece, as I do all of your work. You have much talent, and it is my hope, that with your new leadership in your country that our two countries can become friends in the future. Until then know that I will always call you a friend and a brother.

I tried to send a message through your profile but the contact is turned off. Again, my apologies for any discomfort I may have caused in my absense. Take care of yourself, and it was good to hear from you. And keep making music my friend. It makes our world a smaller and better place. All my best.

Your brother Bear

Thanx for stopping by, it's been a while indeed, I hope you and your family are all well.

I got a great vibe from the music when I first heard it, much like your Sandy Hook track when I first heard that.

Thanx for your time bro, appreciate it.

Ah, I've been away for a while, and saw you had a new one up. Love the instrumentation....almost as much as I love your vocals. The instrumentation is really playful and skillfully combines (loved those guitar screaches). Really nice mix. There are a couple of places where I would love to have your voice a bit more forward in the mix, but those are minor things.

Absolutely beautiful work. I do hope all is well.

Very glad to see you back, Bear ! :D
I'm really happy and honoured you liked this and said the mix is nice, cause I know I'm bad at mixing most of the time ( usually do it by instinct ) .
I spent a long time on this song, not really knowing where I was going, just feeling things . And though it's particular and still sounds awkward, my heart is glad with the result .

Yeah, thx Bear, all is well here, despite the gloomy atmosphere of this, haha . Dunno why music and words often draw the darkest side of me .
What about you, my dear friend ? Hope you and yours are in great shape !

Thx a lot for your precious words,
xo

Tempo changes are always difficult. Again, I really like your guitar work. You could throw some reverb on the track in the mastering stage and turn it into a "Rush like" arena recording. Don't give up on it, because it has serious potential. Another good effort.

Really nice work here, especially on the guitars......the mix seems a bit "narrow" to me. I think you could widen it out a bit and really do this one some justice...but then again, I could just be nit picking, haha.

Enjoyed it and that's all that counts.

Just to respond to Cruce/EV/Short all together. Thanks for the kind kinds guys. I'm impressed by all of you work. You are all quite right - the mix is bad. It's what's left of an old track recorded in 1991. I suck at mixing - and this track was ancient technology. I'm sure I will do better with the new tech, but I would be more than happy if any of you guys like any of my tunes and would like to help me do them right. THE NEW WAVE GROUP has job openings!

What you guys will see eventually is I have a helluva knack for writing cool pop and rock tunes with very good lyrics. I can record a good power chord, a good acoustic, or a good riff if that's of use to anyone. Happy to. :-)

Working together, I think the talent on this site could do some magnificent work.

If yer interested - you can listen to my old catalog of nifty tunes of lackluster production. Run w anything that moves you. Also click the LOVE POEMS link if you want some lyrics. There's over 100 poems there - have at it if it does anything for you.

I haven't been around much this summer.....this is actually the first song I've listened to since my return. I realy enjoyed your work. The in places are a bit back in the mix, but for the most part you did a really stellar job with both the composition, and the production.

In order to upload acapellas, you just need to follow the procedure listed here:

https://www.looperman.com/help/faq/acapellas

You already have an avatar, and a profile, so the next step is to contact Shan at the link on that page.

Best of luck in all you do, and again, a wonderful job with song.

At first, thanks for taking your time to comment. It's significative to me.
Well, about the song, I've tried to fix my voice (for second time). Listen again if you want.
About the acapellas, I sent a message to Shan, but I can't upload acaps yet. I wonder how much time it takes.
Maybe I didn't write it clearly. Honestly, I had no idea what to write.
Anyway, I hope I can upload acaps soon.

Behnam, my friend and brother, I hope you are well. I have been away traveling most of this summer, and am only able to check in every once in a while.

This is spectacular work!!! I think it shows just how masterful you are when you create songs, a true artist in every sense of the word. I admire your talent and skills, and this song is an example of the student teaching the professor a few things along the way. Absolutely stunning work.

I will download this one and it will be one of my most treasured songs to listen to. While we may be separated by thousands of miles, and our governments are both hell bent on our mutual destruction, you will always be my younger brother. Please take care of yourself. I will listen to this often and will always think of you.

Not sure if you were aiming for the dissonance created between the backing track and the vocals.....if it was intentional, then I would call this a great avant garde tune. If not, then perhaps it would be beneficial to allow someone else to add vocals and see what they sound like. Either way, it was an interesting ride.
