Carole, it has been a while since I've been in your neighborhood (a really busy summer for us). But I am glad to discover you have been busy creating. A beautiful song that goes so well with my requisite morning coffee. An absolute pleasure to listen to.

As always, perfect. I do hope all is well.

Tempo changes are always difficult. Again, I really like your guitar work. You could throw some reverb on the track in the mastering stage and turn it into a "Rush like" arena recording. Don't give up on it, because it has serious potential. Another good effort.

Bear, I took a quick listen to your catalog, and I'll be back for more soon. I'm definitely a fan. Work is crushing me right now. Just wanted to say hello for now and will talk more later. :-)

Really nice work here, especially on the guitars......the mix seems a bit "narrow" to me. I think you could widen it out a bit and really do this one some justice...but then again, I could just be nit picking, haha.

Enjoyed it and that's all that counts.

Just to respond to Cruce/EV/Short all together. Thanks for the kind kinds guys. I'm impressed by all of you work. You are all quite right - the mix is bad. It's what's left of an old track recorded in 1991. I suck at mixing - and this track was ancient technology. I'm sure I will do better with the new tech, but I would be more than happy if any of you guys like any of my tunes and would like to help me do them right. THE NEW WAVE GROUP has job openings!

What you guys will see eventually is I have a helluva knack for writing cool pop and rock tunes with very good lyrics. I can record a good power chord, a good acoustic, or a good riff if that's of use to anyone. Happy to. :-)

Working together, I think the talent on this site could do some magnificent work.

If yer interested - you can listen to my old catalog of nifty tunes of lackluster production. Run w anything that moves you. Also click the LOVE POEMS link if you want some lyrics. There's over 100 poems there - have at it if it does anything for you.

You really do have a flair for the dramatic....pretty amazing how you have ability to combine all of the different sounds, key changes, etc. and tell such amazing musical stories. This is really nice work, with great textures throughout. Well done Charlene!!!

on PeteJonTebar Doing the best I can by Soap
Chris, I've been away most of the summer, but it is always a great feeling to come back and discover jewels like this one. Pete is such a huge talent, and when you put him in the mix with your amazing musical abilities, you have a recipe for success.

This is terrific work from start to finish. Like the others said, you could bring the music up a bit, but that is just nit picking at this point.

Well done gents. Great way for me to top off my evening. Hope all is well.

Hey Bear, it's good to see you're back here on the loop !!!
Thank you for the kind words. To be honest, I was a bit discouraged by this track before I sent it to Pete, and I'm still amazed by his capacity to "know what to do" immediately...

I'm glad you liked the song, and I hope there will be some other ones for you guys...

Peace.

That should read, "the vocals in places are a bit back in the mix." In the old days we could edit our reviews so they didn't have all of the errors.

Bear
ShortBusMusic
I haven't been around much this summer.....this is actually the first song I've listened to since my return. I realy enjoyed your work. The in places are a bit back in the mix, but for the most part you did a really stellar job with both the composition, and the production.

In order to upload acapellas, you just need to follow the procedure listed here:

https://www.looperman.com/help/faq/acapellas

You already have an avatar, and a profile, so the next step is to contact Shan at the link on that page.

Best of luck in all you do, and again, a wonderful job with song.

Hi there!
At first, thanks for taking your time to comment. It's significative to me.
Well, about the song, I've tried to fix my voice (for second time). Listen again if you want.
About the acapellas, I sent a message to Shan, but I can't upload acaps yet. I wonder how much time it takes.
Maybe I didn't write it clearly. Honestly, I had no idea what to write.
Anyway, I hope I can upload acaps soon.
Thanks again for listening and comment! :D

Behnam, my friend and brother, I hope you are well. I have been away traveling most of this summer, and am only able to check in every once in a while.

This is spectacular work!!! I think it shows just how masterful you are when you create songs, a true artist in every sense of the word. I admire your talent and skills, and this song is an example of the student teaching the professor a few things along the way. Absolutely stunning work.

I will download this one and it will be one of my most treasured songs to listen to. While we may be separated by thousands of miles, and our governments are both hell bent on our mutual destruction, you will always be my younger brother. Please take care of yourself. I will listen to this often and will always think of you.

Thanks for your friendship and your support. You are the best my brother. Be careful, the "gods" are watching :)

on Room 42 by Enzotic
Not sure if you were aiming for the dissonance created between the backing track and the vocals.....if it was intentional, then I would call this a great avant garde tune. If not, then perhaps it would be beneficial to allow someone else to add vocals and see what they sound like. Either way, it was an interesting ride.

Enzotic replied 7th Jul 2013 - 12 years ago
Thanks! The dissonance was somewhat intentional, but I'll take your advice on letting someone else create their own vocals!

Aye, yi yi, you are so damn good!!! Man this is such a trip and just amazing in so many different ways. I had to download it (thanks for that) so I could listen on my computer without having the sound drop off (not thrilled with the new player on the Loop).

Sam, you are a musician's musician. Keep doing what you are doing. Your technique, tone, talent are all the result of your hard work, dedication and study. You are a shining example for all of us who aspire to be better musicians.

Bravo my friend. I hope all is well.

Bonnie, there is not much left to say that the others haven't already said. You have "mega star" potential.....this song proves that.

You just need the right person to come along and hear this and I think you would be off and running. Fabulous work from start to finish.

Man, Baggadub, I'm a fan!! This is outstanding work. This sound professional in every way possible. Mix is spot on, and you treated Patricia's vocals with the respect they deserved. Great guitar work, organ is nice, and I love the bass line.

Sean, really, really nice work. Great blend of percussion, bass, and the acoustic guitar.....you left room for everything to breathe. A great way to start my day. Hope all is well bro.

My brother Benham, there are times when the student teaches the professor a few things about this thing we call music.....

and this is one of those times.

There are no words to adequately describe what you have done here. I think Janis said it best, "I can almost feel your soul in my hands as I'm listening to this exceptional beauty."

This is truly a masterpiece in every way possible. I thank you for sharing this with all of us. I hope all is well with you.

Malu, it is amazing how your unfinished works often sound better than the "finished tracks" offered up by most of us. It really is a shame that you guys could not revisit this one and really polish it up. It has huge potential. Perhaps someday both of you will get a break and be able to finish it. Even so, a most enjoyable listen.

I'm glad you've enjoyed it and thank you once again for the review!

Richie it is great to see you back and even better, you bring an amazing song with you.

It's hard to describe just how good this one is. So I think the best thing I can do is sit back, grab another cup of coffee, and hit replay.

You and Patricia really should hit the road together. This is absolute perfection. Kudos to both of you. Another great song by two of the Loop's finest!!

Hey bro, it sounds really good. Love the chopped up piano loop of Martin's. I look forward to someone adding vocals to it. As it stands now, it gets a little repetitive towards the end.

Nice mix, with really good balance. All in all I would say you have a real winner here. Hope all is well.

Thanks for the comment. I was thinking of adding more towards the end but was afraid it would be a bit too much for a vocalist. If it hadn't been for your second pair of drums near the end it probably would have ended up bland, so I gotta thank you for that.
