Description : Track Updated!2/1/2014..This is my second attempt at putting vocals on this track by DJ-SLT-UK. I have changed the arrangement and taken away some vocal layers. feedback welcome. Cheers
Last time I listened, I thought the layered vocals really interfered with each other so I applaud you removing some of those layers.
Definitely makes for a less cluttered mix.
I'll be more honest than I probably need to be and say I'm not keen on lots of the vocals though I guess that's just my taste so doesn't really matter. Lots of other people here seem to like them so don't worry about it.
hey static. thanks for the feedback. think it was way too cluttered aswel. and i wouldn't expect anything but honest feedback, otherwise what is the point. i did wonder what u weren't keen on though. was it just the production value or was it the words, or just the general vibe of the vocals.
Did you mix the vocals into a master of the instrumental, or were you able to get all of the individual stems of the instrumental and then mix in the vox? I have a hunch you were given the completed instrumental and then had to add/layer vocals over the top of an already mixed and mastered track. If so, you did a good job getting the vocals to sit where they needed to in the mix.
Great flow on the rap portion....the singing vocals seem to need a little more "texture" (maybe warm them up just a bit). Overall, a really nice effort and I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for posting.
spot on bear i was using a fully mastered track to record over. thanks for the input. i know what you mean about the chorus vox. i am yet to learn how to eq really well and use effects properly. things can only get better. cheers bro
hey bro. thanks alot. at some point during my next hip hop track i will get in touch. would love to you get involved in taking the sound quality to the next level. hey you never know you might even feel like adding some of your own lyrical flow, i be down with that bro. cheers.
The music itself is a bit trippy and when you add the layered vocals it really is a musical journey. I can certainly appreciate the effort that went into all the vocal tracks. Great job, interesting track!
This vocal part is super creative from you...DJ told everything about the technical backup (what I don't understand 50 %...this my amateur problem :-), so you have a chance for the pro prod...
like to think i am in with a chance but not getting ahead of myself. plenty more experienced than me puttin their take forward. however i like to think its sounds fairly origonal. the chorus atleast. thanks for the feedback. graham
hi bro. thanks for the feedback. yes i am proud of the chorus. plenty people spittin out old school style rap but the chorus is origonal. thanks for the compliment bro.
well...you`re hearing it from a player who doesn`t know much about hip hop (even though I sometimes layer the beats with all kinds of genres)..and even less about rap....but sounds to me like the genre has evolved quite a long ways...I`m a musician even though I`ve worked on the production side for longet tnan I`ll admit (tape days)..so I cant help hearing what goes into the backing music..the instruments chosen...the way the mix is structured..and the playing...and this one def sounds like it out in front of the pack guys...Some good ideas from artists who know a lot more about than me..but I would be inclined to bring the vocals up a couple of dBs..they are good.....well done...Ed
thanks very much for those comments ed. those type of comments really make me want to push even harder. i have only been making music for a few weeks and comments like those ensure that i will be doing it for a long time to come. much love bro
hey bro...I really like the backing vocals you got going down here, the track is minimal enough to get away with all these layers.. great chorus too...well written and performed, yeah man, agree with spiv you re improving quickly...keep pushing bro!
Like the vocals crossing the tracks. I thought the idea approached with the instrumental worked for my listen. There is a lift vibe from this track that is strange but good. I see her sitting there looking at memories while on the opposite end you do the same. Vivid idea here and keep up the learning process. There is worth in it. Thanks for sharing. Peace.

Description : Something i did when i was about 15, and when i still made beats. This particular track is actually the reason i decided to get into composing at all. I had a good run with the beats and hip-hop scene, but i always had a leaning more towards composing and this, i think, is the catalyst for that revelation. This beat is 9 years old, and gives you a sense of what it was like to be a young, passionate, musically driven teen. Thank you.

Description : Let me know what you guys think of this beat! I did not make the melodies for this song, LilTiddy created the two loops. I created the drums such as the 808, Kicks, Hi-Hates, Snares and claps. I also Mixed and Mastered the Instrumental.
