This is one of those songs that when im driving and listening to the song,i quickly look to the car stereo and nod my head in approval.
You have got all the right elements here to make a good chill-out but its how we used them that makes this a great track.
Crispy production allied with gorgeous melodies(amazing little trumpet? solo).
Those pads in the background gives the track n heavenly touch.
Thumbs up to the drumloops.
Cant wait to listen to it in my car.
Sorry for the late reply...we are on the move now so my head is a bit out of himself...:-)
This track was one of my earliest chill try but surprisingly came to be the biggest 'fame'...hahaha...
Hi Coney.
I remeber of you well.
In my opinion you were one of the best hip-hop producers here on Looperman.
Glad to see the old guard returning to this wonderful place.
This song its one of those that i need to liste several times(in my opinion of course)to really grow on me,and i say that as a compliment.
Good to see you back.
I absolutely love the tone of that guitar. Its a maple neck, oak fretboard (fretless) a wooden cigar box with neck through body and a humbucker pick up from my Ibanez Gio, which got a new V* Ibanez pickup, Earnie Ball 9 gauge strings played with a medium wall glass slide. Everyone of them has a unique sound but this is my fav! I find this style very soothing. I love how the guitar alone can tell a tale. I was just going to have the guitar alone like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qcn3WbidU8I but really liked how the drums and bass glued it all together, I play to a drum groove to keep time. Thanks Nelson
This is a great track and surely someone will make something cool with it.
I can imagine a guitar solo by our friend Danke in this instrumental.
I wish i could sing.
Good work

Having african heritage(Mozambique and South Africa)to be more specific, this somehow connects with me in a deeper level.
Great,great musicianship and programming.
Having been a follower of the Rebel Soundclash radio show(2 folks out of Belgium)that broadcast some of the really hard to get "underground"african music, this song really reminds of it.
And to think this is all work of one man.
Great work Planet.
May i ask, where you got the amazing acapella please?
Hi Nelson...thanks for your great review mate very much appreciated! I'm heartened to hear that I made some connection to the underground modern music of Africa, it is after all the font where all music sprung from and especially for the roots of Jazz and most contemporary styles. Those vocals are part of a Kontakt instrument "Ethno World 5 Voices and Choirs" by Native Instruments and are listed as coming from Cameroon, it contains some amazing samples and I'll be using more in upcoming tracks for sure, your review really made my day man! thank you again..cheers Dave :)
Your style is unique and i still have faith that one day good things musically will come your way.
You are a very underrated producer but being a family man and hard worker takes a big chunk of time in your life, and priorities are priorities.
thanks bro..local grime kids use my beats, thats all that matters to me..my music time is zero now haha..still,music is too much of a hobby to completely let go,as u are aware of too im sure..
This song has your name written all over it.
I really like the quirky vibes in the track,it shows total freedom, attention to detail and above all passion.
I also like the way you describe how this song
was put together.
You have so many analogic instruments in your studio but yet you never seem to lose focus on what you want to achieve musically.
Hats off to you Patrick
It has gotten to the point where I only create and release a song if it speaks to me "underneath." There is no reason to speak if it does not have a reason, and reason is "apparently" the only thing which separates us from other forms of life. I do not personally hold this idea as true, yet it makes sense to most humans who are not paid to be who they are. This song has changed genre three times now, and it seems most acceptable in "glitch" so that is where it will stay... people accept noise and sublime life in this genre, so it is obviously mine. The lyrics are most of what matters when keeping focus on what I intend, and this is a good example. After finding the right genre, it found the right people.,,, relatedly, it is good to see you still around!!!
Im not a tech guy but the recording quality is amazing.
The instrumental(for now i suspect)its really well produced. All the instruments you have used gel really well together.
Really really awesome work
Another beautiful song of yours.
Its pretty awesome what you have done with both guitar loop and acapella.
Would love to see what you could do with my own acapella.
You definitely got a new fan in me.
Great stuff
What a lovely surprise song.
I really like the instrumental as it carries as much sadness and hope as the acapella.
The arrangement its on point and the selection of instruments shows a great understanding of melody and space.
Well done
Nelson
This is really heavy.
Very clever intro.Certain parts of the track reminds me of Noisia and Phace.
Just wondering, are the drums loops or you did them from scratch?
Either way good job.
Thanks man, and using those names anywhere in the same world as mine ? They are 2 of my faves..and i thank you again. As for the question about the drums..., for this track i used loops but i modified the hell outta them when i did use them. I hardly use anything that is "stock" sound. Its always better to personalize your tracks, that way its yours.
So thanks again for everything, theres definitely more coming very very soon. So keep checking and let me know what u think about the others.
You truly live in a musical world of your own.
This track its more complex than it may look or sound at a first listen.
Its a track that shows something new in every new listen.
Its relentless kickdum feast from start to finish just throw everything thing from its path.
The bleepy arpeggios really works like some kind of digital voodoo, and the track dynamics are really clever.
Great arrangement.
This is the real intelligent dance music without the gimmicks.
Wondering what outboard gear you might have used.
Hey Nelson, always good to hear from you! This was a pretty cool adventure to create, and not much like my recent endeavors. You asked about outboard gear, and that is one reason why this was different from recent stuff, since it was all "in the box," DAW based work. I did use some samples from my modular and a couple casio keyboards, but using software samplers. I have over 160,000 samples in my collection now, so that really helps when working in a DAW. Makes me happy that liked what you heard here, and I'm glad that you liked it enough to download! Looking forward to hearing what you've been working on!
Some good ideas floating in these track.
I would make the intro a bit longer, change the snare for a clap(or layering both but reducing the volume of the snare um the mix go about 25%).
Use the elements more sparsely.Sometimes less or more.
Not bad at all for a first House track.
Best of luck.
This is more Electro than House to me.Gritty bassline with some solid drums.A bit repetitive at times, but most dance music is,so thats not a big deal.
Like the sounds you add halfway and towards the end of the track.
Good work.
Very good production. Both vocals sit really well in the track.
You obviously can sing,i would like to hear your real voice even tho the auto-tune sounds cool.
Keep at it
ps:great name btw
I like the feelgood vibes during the whole song.I love the short fuzzynesque guitar? solo
midway into the song and end.
Glad you found it in your archives
Thank you for your comment. Well I can hardly remember anything about what instrument I use in this one. But I remember that I was pretty pleased with it.
This is as fragile as melting ice.Its impossible not to like your vocals and intensity of your performance.
Another well chosen instrumental that fits perfectly your vocal abilities.
Amazing work.
You've hit the nail on the head there really, as without the instrumental there is no way I could have evoked this song purely by myself, and that's the beauty of this place.
Thanks for taking the time out to listen and comment, it's very much appreciated and gives me the confidence to try and move forward :)
Amazing performance.I don't really care about the technical side of the production because that can be improved.
There's a great sense of loss and genuine sentiment, and the instrumental it is really beautiful and well played.
Great work
The technical side of it is a bit lost on me, that I cannot deny, but I do try and sing from my heart and it's really pleasing when someone picks up and connects to it.
Very interesting piece of music.Could go on for several minutes without sounding repetitive or boring.
Very nice melodies and clever choice of instrumentation.
