Bet you didn`t use that matchbox & toothpick thing in this one FreeRadical...love the beat man..Have used a few techno beats in my own (mellow) stuff once in a while as I don`t pay much atention to genres when something sounds good....this sounds dm good to me....nicely done....Ed
You're right there. I lost my matchbox so in this one, i used an assortment of various sized tupperware containers and a large hamster wheel.
Joking aside, It's mainly a product of prime loops. I wrote the arps and acid sounds but all the drums are premade loops. I can't take too much credit for this.
I might see if i can find a vocal to chuck over it.
Thanks for dropping in and checking out this tune.

wow....that is some smokin guitar playing by AllenV...amazing guitar chops definitely on display (If I could to borrow about 10% of them I`d consider myself dm good)....But then, the whole mix is just superbly done...I have to confess that D&B is not a frequent listening choice but now it looks like I best pay a bit more attention.....great work guys....Ed
Thanks Tumbleweed, It's not a typical piece of drum and bass in any sense really but that's what i like about it. If it hadn't been for Allen's participation it wouldn't have been anywhere near as good so all credit to our resident axe man for taking part and doing his thing.
Thanks for checking out this track.

What a nice surprise..I had no idea you might add your flute talents on this one..and from the way you developed the melody, the flute vibrato and those longer notes I can tell you have been doing this a while....beautifully done UChris...I am always honoured when a fellow musician uses something I have done and this one is a particular treat....Thank you.....Ed
Thank you so much for your specific comments, Tumbleweed. They help the process of development. I listened to your wonderful guitar music--beautifully played and rendered. I'm glad I found the track that went well with what I do. "Fellow musician" is a high compliment for this amateur!
Really nicely done Mahloo13...I`m just listening on my pc speakers (haven`t fired up my studio pc today) but I`ve used them often enough as one of my mix checkers to know a good mix when I hear it...doesn`t hurt a bit that its a good country song and at times I think dome of the best ones (and some of the best guitar players) are burried a bit just under the stuff that we are fed by commercial radio...Its always a big pleasure to hear a mix where everything from the lyrics to the parts being played by every instrument are so super clean & clear and even my beat up ears didn`t have to guess what was going on.....bravo....Ed
Appreciated! Ohh I for one love country and would love to work more often on country music. There is something very smooth and warm sounding when it comes to country.
A touch of the cinematic, particularly in the intro & a bit where you pulled the drums out..A lot going on and I hear some thoughtful composing...it might surprise you, but the outro with just the piano and that nice synth pad was the part I liked best...all round well done though....good job....Ed
Well, Patricia and Richie....I have never listened to music by either one of you that hasn`t made me go Wow...and when you do these collabs together its just like adding more icing to the perpetual cake..Tha vocals & harmonies and just top notch pro...and what I particularly like about the music it how it supports the vocal/song so perfectly...embellishing it and carrying it along without imposing...I likely sound like I`m gishing a bit...well, I guess maybe I am...Its just so cool to find music done so well...great stuff you two....Ed
crazy tune...and sounds like a fun one to do..your voice is your signature Vicen so there is no doubt about the artist here and while this is different for you it is good upbreat - uplifting music...and that always brings a smile....Ed
Yes...its is long by commercial standards but thank God we don`t need to pay attention to such things here...an epic journey much like the one we are all on..portraid in music for the ears and mind...well done Mosestone....enjoyed it all the way and the wee touch of Celtic air was most welcome....Ed
Thank you Ed .. I appreciate you coming by and listen .. I still can't get going in 2012 but hopeful things will change to finish my projects. Peace & Light.

Now...this I like...beautiful little chord prog full of feeling..my kind of easy listening music...really well done ChrisNeal...enjoyed it big time so no suggestions to offer here...Ed
MapleBacon....just a bit of additional info on your latency/delay issue...Download a free driver called ASIO4ALL (they have a web site...or use whatever site you trust)..Install it on your computer..It works with everything I have tried it on (sometimes better than the original pro driver) including Acid Pro, Cubase, Sonar, etc and is likely on the hard drive in just about every studio..very good reputation....After you install it (its just a small file)..Open Audacity if thats what you want to use for recording....Go to EDIT....Then PREFERENCES....Then the Audio i.o tab...it should show up there...choose it as the audio driver...Bet it helps with the latency even without a recording interface...but you best long-run bet would be to get at least a basic interface..they all come with an ASIO driver....Good luck...Ed
Hey MapleBacon....keep working on figuring out that recording program...I`d like to hear more of your stuff..always enjoy the straight up acoustic guitar when its well played...There are lots of fellow musicians around here that are happy to pass on a bit of production advice if you are looking for any...There is a limiter plugin in Audacity that can pump the volume up for you but you likely need at lease a basic recording interface (with an ASIO driver) to get rid of the latency...keep on....Ed
Very nice up front mix Leukorrhoea...definite small club feel & appreciate the way you kept this one down to the basic instrumentation (I`m one of those who often clutter my mixes withall the toys)...love that guitar tone....well done....keep on...Ed
I think you did a great job on it Antranita...kudos to you on the lyrics and vocal delivery (like the harmonies too)..Harderthanthe rest`s track really supports your vocals nicely...its not overdone...just good backing for the way you developed the song.....a wel done to both of you.....Ed
holy s**t Richie.....where can I buy the CD...freakin great job on the music and the vocal is waaaaaay better that the stuff my radio`s been playing...really admire the way you have kept the instrumentstion so uncluttered...clean & clear...infectuous beat & bass...if I was scoring something this would get all the points...I aspire to doing somethingthis good some day....Ed
Thank you so much for the comments. I always try the "less is more" approach and hope it all has some space to move around in. Glad you liked the track and thanks again for stopping by. Much appreciated.
Beautiful listening piece of music trugrit...thoughtfully composed and delivered with talent....well done....I just downloaded the Alchemy Player VSTI...some fantastic sounds here...Ed
Vicen..this is an oustanding piece of mixing & production work...very up-front sound at commercial level without having the life squashed out of it...really well done...Besides it good listening & uplifting music even if the words are beyond my knowledge (reminds me a little of Hit The Road)...very well done...Ed
Just stopped by to check on you NDA...glad I did...I haven`t listened to anything you have done here that I don`t love man..this is another dandy & you could have kept it going for a while longer...great stuff my friend you d` man with the soul sound....keep on...Ed
Aw man...I love this one...everything about it just leaves me saying Oh Yeah...Like those volume swells Allen...I used to try doing them with my pinkie & the volume knob & noticed Mark Knopfler doing them with a volume pedal...I`m going to have to check out tyhose Zoom units (never owned one)....all round great job guys...change nothing....and thanks for the download...This one`s gotta go on my mp3 player...Ed
I have to say that when I was a kid in the 70's I learned a lot from Christian guitarist Phil Keaggy. My Father was a Pastor of church and I was the typical preachers kid but I played a Les Paul like my idol Phil and he used his pinkie finger for the swells and I adopted that Technic, but it is harder with a Tele...but that's how I do it,with the Pinkie.I've tried a volume pedal but I can't do it,It's something about being able to swell it so smoothly and on the spot...not reaching for a pedal.
Thank you so much Ed,Your comments mean so much cause I believe you know what I'm trying to do with my/Collab songs...I just want to be an added addition that complements the song,If I can do that,I'm A happy man!
Hw nice to hear this thoughtful kind of composition delivered with much talent...Its part of what attracted me to this little community (I was 1 of those who stopped by to look for drum loops & eventually hit the tracks tab to discover the music)...Very nicely done Bob, and I really like that flute..I just downloaded Alchemy Player in my search for a better flute sound than those I now have (I play the keys poorly but love the challenge)...much enjoyed..I`ll be back to catch up on some of your other tracks.....Ed
Its just a dm nice piece of easy listening music DjDaz...very relaxing...Wheather its the right thing likely depends on your audience I guess, but I`m with visualword....I`m just gonna sit here & listen...well done...Ed
I was attempting to go for the kind of background music you might get in an elevator or restaurant. If sitting back and listening is what you feel like doing, then I've achieved exactly what I want! Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the song!
Thanks for taking the time to listen

upliftingis the right description visualword...worked for me...I`m not up on the different Latin rhythms myself...I just call them all Latin....well done...Ed
