the music is very fitting for the words I think - grinds away (back and forth) with as Zoot/ Chris notes a 'bitter' lyric - satisfyingly dissatisfied. Vox volume seems about right to me - guess youve tweaked it
starts with swarming sounds and another square wheel of a beat and then moves to a gorgeous and sweet reprise with a swinging beat - different and very nice
Great track Aaron - beautiful trap beats, perfect breaks, sublime interweaving melodies, lovely structure to the composition and gorgeous sound production - next level mate
Thank u so much, man. Anytime I get some love on a song, I'm grateful, but Im especially happy when one of my personal favorites gets attention. And this is a personal favorite, I love how it turned out. The one I'm uploading today is in a similar vein. I'm slowly putting together an instrumental album that will have 50+ tracks on it, with about 1/4 of those being older songs that I've reworked. The finish line is finally in sight, man.
Very gentle and warmly reassuring (if you know what i mean), sounds meander and babble and every so often squelch but never in a way that is harsh or displeasing.
Lovely depth to this - very much sounds like a soundtrack for a sci-fi (or other) movie (which I guess was the intention) and it is indeed very well and cleverly executed. Pleasing listen
Nice keys, very much 'poppy' sound with a rock style build - such sweet music frames the vox very well and the whole track has a warm and classic soft rock pop feel to my old ears.
This is lovely, an endearing amalgamation of influences and elements - there's a background of warm fuzz and crying cats but some real mellow beats and sweet melody too - even some some 'rock' elements (3 min mark). Nice track : )
Yep - nice old school blues rock number - by chance i was listening to very old jethro tull just the other day - full points for composition and playing but Id say this flute is a just little lack lustre and as noted by others overall the mix/production sound doesn't do this great music justice.
Nice work - pushing it to the edge with the loudness and compression to my ears but you know what your doing for sure. This is almost cinematic in depth and scope, lush with some sweet melodic lines - just enough space for a vocal or Ben (ie Bod's) saxophone if he dared dust it off.
Great - the charge of the light brigade - full on, hardcore, triumphant - look forward to hearing the longer version. Sound production is terrific too : )
It's very good - but its like a lot my own tracks a kind of sketch for a larger or more complex track - so I say keep going. Especially like that first transition from 25 to 35
ian man thanks for giving a listen to these tracks. it’s been a difficult year and i entered some pretty altered states. i think something approaching half of any free time i had i spent mining freesound and just free-associating w them. the teetering was actual, so don’t try that at home!
fun fact: the little uh-uh-uh voice in part 2 and that’s heard at the end is an emperor penguin.
hope your holidays have been peaceful and sustaining for the year to come.
i’d been playing around w the intro sounds for a while before the vox magically fell into place and steered things in a hiphop direction. i heightened the already somewhat occluded vox, i like having to guess at lots of the words
great - love the she wants revenge track too - bit of post punk indie : ) yours is much more dreamy initially and then as wayne said theres something of a little homage or perhaps its just a signpost to mid 90's (in the final beats).
well i just went with what sounded yacht-worthy to me and added a bit of hangover spin on that. but the 90s sound speaks to my predilections, obviously! cheers, ian!
Enchanting intro with nice space and stereo spread with no hint of the wormhole that is about to open and take us to another dimension - once there it was calm for a moment and then the rhythm came and I wanted to hear where we were going to go next - it sounded like something I wanted to have more of. Always a wonderful journey for the ears mate - Im looking forward to hearing the other ones Ive missed. OH OH OH
Hi, thanks for the comments. The cheesiness is deliberate. At the end, I spent a bit of time coming up with a catchy melody. The synth I used (Serum) sounds great for this type of genre.

Im encouraged to be a little more ambitiously crazy when I listen to what you do and how it comes together teetering on the edge of the abyss
