excellent work Joe love that punk edge its got a good UK old school vibe, ive got young grand kids so i love it for them, i hate all the greed and commercialism for one day, and for a lot its a stressful mess they could do without, brilliant alternative

Ha - rock on with Christmas - this is great - so much more engaging than jingle bells - love the attitude as much as the fast repetitive guitar riff too

Is that Santa or Beelzebub with the deep backing vox - he's welcome at my place either way : )

Fun and joy are always good things.
Celebrating a proper party because “the LORD” was born is probably the least you have to do. .....And happy people who sing to wild music and have fun can also be punks :)

And as for the guy who sang so darkly - I think it was "the thinking zombie". I don't know if you've gotten to know the forum yet. But there was a time when we really had a lot of fun with it and there was still something of a community here. Back then there was a Halloween challenge and in it (for me) “the thinking zombie” appeared for the first time. Just as smart as a human, just a zombie. There he played a live concert in a radio play with a protest song against stupid barbaric people...... And the guy in this song here just sounds exactly like "the thinking zombie"

All the best and a great x-mas to you and yours
stay tuned

Hallo Joe, wow!

Also passt eine gewisse grundlegende Partystimmung doch hervorragend.

stay tuned

Oh yeah, merry metal christmas Joe :D I like the punk christmas theme hahaha Was this when the thinking Zombie was trying out for the Misfits but went to the Undead instead?

That may well be.
I can not remember exactly.
Those were hard times back then.

Many crazy people went there, where I lived, in and out.
There really were gloomy figures below.
Some of them were so dark that you could see them almost not at night.
Others were so confused that they claimed they were quite vampires and would equal going to suck blood.
Still others were running around to convince the world that they had seen the light.
And others knew exactly that it was all just made of plastic.

The remainder was assumed that the others were all mad because they took the wrong drugs.

The owner took care neither in the one nor in the other group, but was completely off track. He told anyone who would listen whether or not that everyone and everything was against him and why he was about innocent. Without interruption, 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

I lived there and had some sort of front-row seat to the madness of the Western world of the 90's.
I would not even be surprised if the thinking zombie was infected in this wild place.

Hey buddy! Really despise xmas in most every way possible, so it's cool to hear a deep punk sort of xmas conglomeration. Far better than what I was doing 20 years ago! You rock!

Thanks a lot for your friendly words about this little track Spivkurl.

:) We had a lot of fun makeing it. And it was recorded in parts in Padaborn and at my hometown. Never more then 2 "worked" together at the same time. But it is still some of my personal most loved song to xmas time ....

If you like to know how it sounded when it mostly realy began, then you should follow this link. It brings you 30 years back in time. My/our real first band - the tacktless once/die Tacktlosen - in a shed somewhere deep in the german north. Let it be the 3rd time we 3 played together, maybe it was the 2nd. You will hear a song about a guy, with black shoes, black glasses, black gloves, on his way to "his" girl, cause she cant see his black shoes ......
very raw, but very cool stuff and realy 30 years old.

http://www.reverbnation.com/joecramer/song/5954224-die-taktlosen-with-joe-cramer-neonlich

If you scroll thw side down you will find 3 more -tacktless ones/tacktlosen- songs ...maybe 29 years old :)

And btw, i dont believe that you did it realy bader then me or i better then you - we all just do - and i just tryed to do music so the way, i had the most fun. Fun is a good power for good things like good music :)

Thanks again for the comment

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.

Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.

Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).

Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
