Great vibe, easy on the ears. Those keys at the beginning sold me. There's some nice electronic synths and pads and percussion behind the well played guitars. Pleasure to listen to!
Wayne, I have the highest regards for you and your comments. We are veteran Loopers. When I was here as THE MACK MAN you showed me the same respect and love. I miss those days whereas there was a fraternity of musicians that kinda were the main players here, like Slap J. Bear, Abner b., Static Nomad, Panet Bass, among others. We all had much respect for each other's talent, and I still feel the same way about yours. Thank you for continuing to be REAL. PEACE. T576 OUT.
I liked the part between :10 and :40 seconds, good start to a modern christmas song like the Waitresses song Xmas Wrapping or something along those lines, ha! Don't know why but that was my first impression. I could hear some smart vocals on this, female.
Nice changes, they seemed to work together and focus on one central theme....raging hormones, lol!
Mix sounds like it's mono, can't hear any depth in the track as far as stereo or panning goes. Sounds like every track is centered. I think a better mix would really bring out all the instruments individually and give the track more of a wider stereo field if things were panned left and right a bit more. Just a suggestion.
Hi Wayne,
thank you for your comment. I am just about to finish another ix with your suggestions and you are absolute right. Really appreciated your critical and helpful comment.
Cool intro but when the groove kicked in I knew it was gonna be a laid back, easy on the ears listen. Waiting for Barry White to start singing anytime.
I liked the change at about 2:09, kicked it to a more modern feel, acid jazz sort of thing.
This is upbeat and a little funky. Sounds like a live band practice which I like.
Good luck with the album!
I love the creative process. I wonder sometimes where the ideas, the melodies and harmonies come from in our minds as we put together our creations. But I do love the mixing and production side of things, I must say.
I try not to think about the creative process, but give me a guitar or a piano or a drumset and I'll create something. I just have to.
Mixing... I can really only hear the music, and I need really focus on the mixing process to clean things up, because I know that to most (sane) people, all the little things that might not matter to me, distract from my music to other people.
It's really important, it's also often a chore to me, but I know it's important in order to get heard, just like writing in proper sentences helps to get your ideas across. You can't just claim well all the words are there.
Simple and straightforward always works for me. It's a pretty tune, a lullaby almost. I almost want to hear some wind or a slight breeze in the background as I feel the outdoors in the piece. Well done!
Not bad, decent idea to begin with. Are you planning to add drums, other instruments, maybe a tambo or shaker or some kind of percussion? Look forward to see how this progresses.
Thanks Wayne. Eventually I’ll add some light percussion, maybe some basic drums and a shaker. Thought about making the end a build up like Colter Walls “Kate mcCannon”. Since I recorded my vocals while playing the guitar I now need to record guitar and vocal tracks separately while keeping the integrity of the song the same. It’s all still a learning process for me. Some light percussion should sound cool though.
Dark, urban, smokey bar, desolate feeling. And also could be the theme song for a tv cop show. If you go back into it, I would also turn up the level of the vocals. Nice low end!
Yeah it's a great song. Bowie produced it I think, and played piano on it apparently, though to be honest, I can't remember a piano in it!! Cheers man.
I like short ideas, I think you can get your idea across in less time than most people imagine. 5 minute songs can be such a bore, lol. There's nothing boring here, great lyrics, to the point, gritty, catchy like an ad.
Thanks. Exactly! It's a PSA format f-u track. Like a commercial. It has a little traction on tiktock already, vocal stems embedded in the video are available on youtube and tik tok. So there are two versions, one completely ready to remix and use the graphic elements. I think this piece can end up with some really amusing remixes. :)
Hey Paul! This is a nice approach with using Matthias' track on this one, it's a little more laid back and a nice bed for the vocals to sit in. Great job to both of you!
thankyou Wayne, i love to use the music of the loop fam, i have on many occasions, sometimes i use other free beats but this one i felt for obvious reasons, thanks for the nice comment mate
Easy on the ears, chilled out piece. Like others have said, nice composition, nicely chosen instruments and effects. I like the guitar playing as well, you have skills I don't possess, he!
Wane I appreciate you stopping by. Don't know if you remember me, but here under a new name. The former MACK MAN. I remember you. You are no slouch my friend. It's a great feeling to get the same love being under the new name as it was under THE MACK MAN, especially from veteran Loopers. Back then we had a Click of members going on, (SLAP, Bear, Planet Bass, Abner Basarous, Filao Soul) and so on. Just saying I highly appreciate your time and comments. Will stop by soon. PEACE T576 OUT.
Yup the stark beauty of nature, you kept the music stark as well. I used to kayak every day, go to spots in the middle of nowhere and listen to the birds chirp, the water ripple as the wind blew across a cold lake at dawn, the sun rise over the wooded hills, the beavers and deer I would pass upon... It would recharge my batteries each and every time I paddled.
Sad to think we are not respectful to nature.
Well done, this reminds me of morning on a lake or river enjoying the solitude.
things are tricky, but I can't help myself: When I hear "Wayne" I immediately see John Wayne in front of me. Then you get an idea of what actually means socialization, what enormous force is at work.
A beautiful picture that you have painted to my track there, it fits very well, thank you!
After your tip on chords, I've done some research on it and I think I can at least say a sentence or two about it now, should someone ask me about it. But the more you know, the more complicated things get, and I'm not at all sure now if chords really improve my puritan piano tracks or just puff them up with no actual added value.
By the way, your "Kansas City" actually gets better and better with each repeated listen, great. And it also became very clear to me with that song that rock music needs a certain minimum volume. If it remains under this, it remains thin and pale, can not even unfold in its enormous power.
Oh, to "Its Kansas City, USA, Baby", how this hint, this clarification is said, spoken, from whom to whom, oh, I could write a whole treatise on that now. But that would go beyond the scope of this article. But simply wonderful.
Hi Wayne. So nice to hear from you! I hope you're doing fine. Yeah, I started playing keys a year ago, gives a new colour to the tracks. Thanks for your comment and hope we can collab again sometimes.
See ya
Loved the story you told Manuela in Amsterdam, great idea to try to recapture that feeling again. After listening to this I'm thinking you must have had more than a Heineken in Amsterdam, maybe, perhaps, lol!
Great track, trippy, great groove with some neat sounding synths and effects. Listening on my Sennheisers, drinking coffee and hot chocolate mixed together on a trip back in time, my clothes are all paisley now and the incense is burning!
1000 apologies for the late reply.

You know the saying; What happens in A'dam stays in A'dam lol.
I'm glad you stopped by to give my track a listen I really appreciate your Fave and I always get a smile and warm feeling (no drugs honest) from your comments.
Love the thrash tones on the guitars, thick, solid! I look at the waveform and I expect to see a big solid block but I am amazed to see a normal looking, at least in my opinion, waveform. Get Rob Zombie to sing over this and you got a hit! Dang!!
Wayne, Thanks for stopping by, man!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I try to make it a rule not to have a brick of a waveform. Sometimes I still do though.
But hey, I'm still learning. When aren't we though?
Mix sounds great! You and Diego seem to be on a run here.
I was reading how you guys communicate, interesting. A few years back on looperman, I worked with a guy from Spain and I used google translate to communicate with him. He told me my Spanish was better than his, lol. I take none of the credit. You guys seem to get it done though, congrats on another cool track!
Thanks Wayne, for the communication with Diego, he is Argentinian and he doesn't have the same pronunciation in Spanish,,, my Spanish is already basic, you can imagine the conversations after a few beers, lol!
Michael
thanks for the listen and comment Wayne, im getting better i think, more experience with engineering etc too.
Charles has got the cribs got the whips all the bling and inherited 500 million plus from his mum queen Lizzie, never paid a penny in inheritance tax, we pay 40% that's the standard in the UK, of course he's gangsta :))
Getting warm here in Florida, tropical one could say. This music is fitting as it heats up for summer. Think I'm gonna make me a rum drink now. A big rum drink actually, lol.
I like the percussive feel of the rhythm track, the bass is played percussively with lots of short staccato notes. The vocal bits add a lot. Mix sounds great Ian!
Hey Wayne - hope you enjoyed that Rum mate - down here its getting colder though Ill be escaping to the Yukon with a couple of stops in Hawaii soon : )
