Thanks a lot Kyle,
for your friendly words about this little tune.Good to know that you liked it.
And also thanks for the "ideas" to fill it a bit up. I will do a test to hear how it works (for me)
Hello InitiumMusic
Every time someone writes to me that he listen to my songs more often, I'm extremely happy. Most of the time you have to be happy when things are at least listened to completely....
Many thanks for your encouraging words. I am pleased that you like my work so much
Unbelievable what you have conjured up there.... really a journey. Obviously you know about traveling without moving. I hear a further development of the Berlin School, among other things... Big compliments, Joe!
Peace,
Micky
Thank you very much for this great compliment.
But actually I can't adopt it at all. I actually lived in Berlin for 2 years and at that time even made electronic music with some "real" Berlin guys, but we really had absolutely nothing to do with any "wiered" old "bores" :)
Back then we were about 19-20 years young and that's now 35 years ago. Musically we moved more in the direction of electronic post-punk, EBM, techno and wave and were miles away from established stuff) wonderful times :)
And now I've been living in Hamburg for almost 25 years. But I don't have any "connections" with the Hamburg school either....
I take it all on myself.
I learned a bit of the recorder at school, with a bit of sheet music and so on, then had a few guitar lessons and briefly tried to learn the clarinet and accordion. But I mostly failed on both :)
So actually no serious musical training or any theoretical plan.
I do it all (creating, composing, playing, importing, writing, singing, mixing and doing, completely on my own and only according to "my feeling"
If there is one school that I follow or that I expand, it is that of my life :) the - Joe Cramer school of one's own path -
Thanks again for your kind and appreciative words.
I was really happy about it, precisely because it was penned by someone who has a much more "serious" idea about music than I do.
J, had to give you another one on this. Hint of mystery along with a strong since of serenity as well as a touch of sadness. If I could get pass this one, I could listen to more of your tracks. Well put together. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Thanks for the recent comment.
Also for listening again, of course.
Personally, I always find it very nice when someone takes the time to listen to a song of mine more than once. Because for that, the person has to like it.
But as much as I like that, you should still listen to one or the other piece of mine.
I'm in the process of redesigning my home page. At the moment you can access everything that I have uploaded to youtube (that's a lot of songs). The rest (and that's not a little either) is still flying around at ReverbNation and of course there are also a few songs here at looperman. Hey, Joe. Really enjoyed listening to this new track from you. Followed all the required safety instructions!
Very evocative and definitely conveyed a mix of emotions, mostly calming, but with an undercurrent of wistfulness I think. Not sure that it was cinematic. Not exactly chill either. Kind of unique actually! :)
Sorry to hear that you have been unwell. Music is a great therapy so please try to make more for us, and for you.
Hello Eric.
Nice to hear that you liked it and that you rate it as unique. Every artist likes to hear that. Many thanks for that and for the time and everything.
Whether it's actually cinematic or chill or something else, who knows? Usually I just take electro and I'm out of the loop. But then there is usually whining right away :)
When I made this song, I went through a period of emotions like I've never had in my life. And there was a bit of everything. Mountains and valleys full of emotions, so to speak. So it doesn't surprise me that this song just drips with it. And since everyone feels differently, there should be something for everyone.
I will definitely keep making music. I can't help it :)
And surely she will help me, because it has always been like this. But unfortunately music will not heal me. But that's perfectly fine.
So you won't have to wait too long to hear something new.
Hey Joe, this song is a masterpiece! It is epic, expressive and musically convincing. I can't know But somehow I have the feeling as if you have processed your feelings and integrated them authentically into this wonderful sound. You have installed so many suitable musical adons, but not exaggerated. There is no dominance of a single instrument to be heard here. Everything interacts like the cogs in a gearbox. Beautiful song, well done, mixed and mastered. I wish you all the best, love and strength for your future. Manuela
Hello Manuela
Thank you very much for this really wonderful friendly comment. What should/can I say about that now?
I can't think of anything besides thank you :)
Of course I like to read comments that tell me that they liked it and so but your comment made me (almost) blush.
I'm happy for you that you liked my song so much. Because that's why I wrote it. Hopefully I can keep the level at this high level.
I will of course try
So thank you again for these constructive words, for the time you have invested and the effort you have made.
I hope everything is going to your satisfaction for you.
Thanks for sharing Joe.
I understand you very well.
I barely survived cancer a few years ago. I had no problem going public with it until I saw that a lot of people couldn't handle it and didn't know how to react so they kept quiet about it.
That actually hurt a lot more.
I also understand your rollercoaster of emotions and fear very well.
Once again I wish you a lot of strength but try to enjoy everything that matters to you.
In addition, you are also entitled to the days when you feel bad.
You don't always have to seem like the strong person to your environment...it's about you.
True words Rita
But at the end of the day, I'm also a father and husband and of course I don't want to put anyone down on my loved ones.
At the moment everything is going well and the results are very positive as far as it goes.
What really annoys me is that I had just started tearing my studio apart to build a nice new one. And now I'm so exhausted and battered that it will take months :) But at least I always have something to do and can distract myself
It is important that YOU stay healthy Rita.
In this sense

Hey Joe.
Thanks for your nice replay.
I dont have Analog Synths 2 but i have some Roland synths.
they are also cool.
Unfortunately, my daw can't handle the Roland synths because it's too full. With a lot of crackling and delay, I try sometimes to make a beat with it by luck. Then I have first to throw it out of my daw to hear if he succeeded lol.
I did indeed read something about your health in the discription.
I hope it's not too bad or it will get better.
I don't want to go into that too much because of your privacy, but I wish you a lot of strength.
Hello Rita
I know. I know that all too well. Jerky and twitch and freeze and cancel and and and. Frustration quickly sets in. Somehow at least all DAWs I use or have used seem to have the same problems. And meanwhile I have a well-equipped PC with a lot of power and all sorts of great things, but these problems keep popping up every now and then :)
You just have to say - close your eyes and through.
When it comes to my health, I've changed my attitude. At first I didn't even want to think about it. Then I just wanted to keep it in the family. I then extended this to my circle of friends. And now I think - oh fuck it, tell everyone else and show them where you really stand and how you really are and how you deal with it. But not everyone is seriously able to deal with it properly. If you speak to me now I just try to explain how i feel and deal with it. I usually feel better afterwards and the others worse......
And to keep it short - I'm playing for time.
With a bit of luck it will be 10 or more years, with bad luck it will be much much less. But I'm still in the game.
I hope I haven't spoiled your day with my openness. Just always remember that I've learned, sometimes better sometimes worse, to deal with it. Cause i know now how great and good some people around me really are. Und das macht mich dankbar.
First off, sorry to hear about your health. I noticed you hadn't been here in some time but so many regular visitors have left here in the past few years. Hope you are recovering and feeling better. Get well!!
Cool track, worth the listen. Deep, moody, a sense of adventure, hope and much more built into this idea. Hope there's more coming and that you're up to it!
Hello Wayne
I hardly like to say it, but getting well will always remain just a dream. But there is legitimate hope that I can still play for time for some time.
Right now it is of course all the nicer to receive positive encouragement for what is important to you. And music is and will always be a really important part of me. I don't intend to stop just because I've fallen into a deep dark hole for an extended period of time.
Since this song was something like a liberation, some new songs should see the light of the looperverse soon. Some just waiting for their completion.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kind words you wrote and the time you took. It really mean a lot to me
Hello LankFrampard
Thank you very much for your attention, your time and your comment. (Good to know that you have complied with all safety-related things :) )
As for your question, to be honest I can't really answer that for you. It went like it always did for me.
Fiddle around a bit with sounds.
Experiment and tinker and tinker.
Discarding and replacing things and suddenly realizing that you are actually somehow on a path.
Then change and adapt everything again in such a way that this path develops into a path towards a goal.
And done :)
In the end I had the beat ready and the guitar provided the chords.
Then I created 3-4 little melodies.
I doubled it and gave it different sounds and stuff like that.
Well, and then the individual tracks are distributed and adjusted and processed with FX and stuff.
Just like you do it. It doesn't matter what direction or genre you're heading into. ......
For me it was just that I found myself at the absolute low point of my life.
And the sounds and everything calmed me down and took some of my sadness away.
So much so that afterwards I got the feeling that everything is exactly as it should be (in the song).
I had and have the feeling that it is a "beautiful" song and that I should others give the oportunity to feel the same.
So I came back here after a long time and uploaded it.
It probably all makes very little sense, at least in relation to your question. But I can't explain it any better.
hahaha what a funny Description
But oh my god what a great sounds.
That sound..almost a woman sound is so cool in it
I listened to the whole track and it was definitely not boring.
The mastering is perfect.
Great job mister!!
Hello Rita
A little bit of fun is always good.
So I tried to write something funny in the description. Mainly because my personal condition is anything but funny ......
The creation of the many sounds was of course very time-consuming. At least for me :) It felt like it took forever until I was reasonably happy with it. So it's really nice to hear that you liked the result so much.
Just this sound like a woman's voice fascinated me too. Unfortunately, the synth I used for this is only available for "Magix Music Maker". But maybe you have this DAW :) then you will find it there in "Analog Synths 2" in "Voices" - "Real Voice"
We are all learning our whole lives and trying to get better. And of course I'm pleased that I seem to have gotten a little better at mastering over the years.
It's really nice to read that I didn't bore you.
So, heartfelt thanks to you for taking the time to listen to the song and then writing such a nice comment.
Kia ora, this is a wonderful track. I found it beautiful and uplifting. I love the melodies and the sounds you used to translate it are perfect. Production is amazing. Four and a half minutes went by so fast. Had to listen again. All the best man.
Thank you very much Zootman,
for your really very friendly comment.
I am very happy that you like this song so much. It's nice to hear that you listened to it again.
For that alone, the effort I put into it was really worth it.
I watched your video with my wife. and we were both amazed at how well the little angels fit the music.
It's really gratifying for me to see what music I write can trigger.
It was the first time for me that someone took the trouble to create a video for my music without being asked and it made me feel really good.
Thank you very much for this and for all the time you have invested in listening, commenting and creating and uploading....
May god always keep a kind eye on you.
Wow, very enigmatic and atmospheric composition, makes you dreaming indeed. Piano melody is magnificent, Wind chime sounds are the great combination to smooth pads and vintage synth leads with suspenseful percussions are making that classic Sci-fi feeling. Amazing work!
Thank you very much for your wonderful comment.
It fills me with joy to hear how much you liked this song. I didn't consciously try to create exactly this feeling, but I had exactly this feeling when I was composing and experimenting. The sounds just found each other.
Your kind words made me feel very comfortable which I really needed at the moment. Thanks again for that
beautiful emotionally charged track Joe, sorry to here about your health. great cinematic work it takes you on an alien journey. super sound production its very engrossing and draws you in. there is a sense of triumphalism to it also. nice work
Thankyou very much Dimestop,
for this really nice and friendly comment.
I didn't expect that so many people would react so positively to this song. And, especially in my condition, it's almost like medicine.
As I have already written, I really put a lot of effort into this and tried for a long time to create something, (well lets say), good. And I was very happy that after such a long time I was actually able to finish it.
That's why I would like to thank you and everyone else again for giving me so much (life)energy, just by listening and writing a comment.
I wish you and all the others really all the best.
Thanks a lot Michael for listening and writing some friendly words about this Song. It's always good to know that there are some people in the world who like what i do.
Lovely track Joe - emotionally evocative, tender and triumphant more than melancholic. The legato synth sounds remind me a little of a Theremin. Sound production is top class
Hello
Thank you very much for your well-chosen words.
The sound of the synth somehow had a touch of the past for me. And that could very well be because the sound sounds or feels like an old theremin.
It's nice to know that there are people out there who find what I'm doing audible and in some way enjoyable.
So thank you again for the time you invested in listening and writing.
This to me is visual music creation. From the beginning I had the going on a journey musically feeling. Sorry about your health, and yet you press on with the musical ICH. I give you 100% credit for that kind of drive. Hope you have a speedy recovery and continue to wright such smooth pruductions.
Thanks a lot for your warm words T576
I hope you had a nice musically journey.
I'll give my best to stay a little longer on earth and make some interesting music.
Good to know that you like what i have done.
I asked my wife what kind of pictures she had in mind or think this music needed and she said - Planets, Nebulas, Aliens.
Almost on the way.
I have one or maybe two songs i really wanna finish. Therefor i "only" have to produce the vocals.
And there are aight or so i just mix in a kind of a
mega instrumental jumping genre mix
Hey buddy, first of all sorry to hear about your health - it's our most precious possession and you only notice when you lose it. A bit like music, in that respect.
Cinematic sounds good as a category although I always think that kind of categorisation is silly in itself. The best music is often that which transcends categories.
Your track is really good, with loads of lovely interesting surprises and little details that you clearly worked on for a long time. Great stuff!
Hello
First of all I would like to thank you for the kind words.
And of course you are 100% right when you say that all this genre talk is silly. The whole thing was more like an inside joke. Because, as many here know, I'm not a fan of genres in any form. And I'm usually completely wrong when I try to name genres :)
As for the song - Of course you're right, I put quite a bit of time into it.
It's been a long, long, long time, the first song I've finished. Although I started endless songs, I didn't have the strength or the will to finish anything.
That's why I have the feeling that I've more or less drawn a line with this song and now something new is beginning.
Some people who know me will probably already think that this song doesn't quite fit the "old" Joe Cramer.
Thanks again for listening and for your comment
stay tuned

Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!

Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...
Description : So a new track for everyone. Im pretty impressed by this one, and would even place it higher than one of my best tracks, Angel And A Demon. However, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put vocals to it. I have some in mjnd, but idk if itd be better to leave as is and keep it instrumental or not. Take a listen and let me know! Also, let me know if anything is too loud, still working on my mastering.
This track is an elaboration of dgalantic’s track “Starting Over 0172257.” It is almost entirely comprised of loops by other artists on looperman. The newsreel in the intro section is from public domain footage of the Vietnam War. Prince Fatty chimes later in with some words of wisdom. The track was sequenced with Mixtikl and edited in Audacity.
Loops from the following artists are included:
1. ThatJeffCarter’s guitar “feedback 197765”
2. three of Nightingale’s harmonica trills: “angels 0088377, inner light 0088361 and never and never 0088366”
3. Heavily fx’ed vocal excerpts from Eshar’s “7th Dimension 0002644”
4. Dcmack’s rhythm loops “2 bass drums 1- 0085449, 2- 0085446, and 4- 0085448.”
5. Steelyvibe’s choral wash “luno frunezo 0005719”
6. Nightingale’s guitar loop “diving deep 0043488”
7. Rasputin1963’s chorals “ soul ladies gospel riff 0088641 and reggae soul girls choir 0087693”

I wanted to start at the top today so this is a good vibe to get into it.
As a producer who's not expierenced with this kinda stuff it's interests me how you go about putting something like this together
Feels very native/tribe building into a spacey retro vibe
X-Files or something similar

But oh my god what a great sounds.
That sound..almost a woman sound is so cool in it
I listened to the whole track and it was definitely not boring.
The mastering is perfect.
Great job mister!!
So, heartfelt thanks to you for taking the time to listen to the song and then writing such a nice comment.

for your really very friendly comment.
I am very happy that you like this song so much. It's nice to hear that you listened to it again.
For that alone, the effort I put into it was really worth it.
Thank you again for the time you gave up :)

It fills me with joy to hear how much you liked this song. I didn't consciously try to create exactly this feeling, but I had exactly this feeling when I was composing and experimenting. The sounds just found each other.
Your kind words made me feel very comfortable which I really needed at the moment. Thanks again for that

for this really nice and friendly comment.

I'll give my best to stay a little longer on earth and make some interesting music.

I asked my wife what kind of pictures she had in mind or think this music needed and she said - Planets, Nebulas, Aliens.
Thanks for the listen and the comment

I have one or maybe two songs i really wanna finish. Therefor i "only" have to produce the vocals.
And there are aight or so i just mix in a kind of a
mega instrumental jumping genre mix
Cinematic sounds good as a category although I always think that kind of categorisation is silly in itself. The best music is often that which transcends categories.
Your track is really good, with loads of lovely interesting surprises and little details that you clearly worked on for a long time. Great stuff!
