Wow, lots of words, I think you covered it all on how a woman can appear to you, impressive!

Nice laid back easy feel to this one, works fine with the lyrics. Good collab!

This is a cool listen and a real decent mix. There is a neat groove to the track, good track to let loop while on a walk. Gave it a few listens, great jam!

Hey Ed! Sorry I missed this one, was going through the first of 2 hurricanes when you posted this, power was out for days, just got my new roof put on. Hope you are well.

Sultry track, love the composition, nice breaks and some great instrumentation and playing. The vocals hit the spot!

Happy holidays Ed! Swing by more often.

Scary stuff on our tv showing some of the storm damage..can`t imagine what it would have been like..we just mostly freeze in the prairie blizzards up here. Glad you are ok. Don`t get much music time myself Wayne. Have quite a few I could post but I don`t like taking forever getting back to those folks thoughtful enough to leave comments.Good to hear from you and big thanks for the comments..Ed

on draft 45 by phantomproduction
The music almost reminded me of a cross between Pat Benatar and Huey Lewis, that time period like others mentioned. Drums sound great! Vocs have a lot of reverb on them but maybe that was your intention or maybe how they came. Decent track!

Hey wayne! it's not the voice that goes with this composition, but I wanted to post something on LM and I found this voice at the tempo but,,,, full of reverb, it's just for fun!
thanks for your stop and comment !

on Deliverence by crucethus
This is cool, needs "screamo" vocals, you know the low throat growling, Tibetan throat chanter level shizzo. Good dynamics, allows the singer to strut their stuff.

Well done on the mix too!

Thanks I do like those Tuvian Throat singers, but I Would take Angela Gossow, and Elize Ryd (never gonna happen)

This is cool! I like the low end, being a bass player. Peppy number, a "pick up my attitude" type song. Makes me want to dance on a table top, ahhh, the good old days. he

Delighted to read you wanma dance, wayne. :-) Yeah, there are four bass layers interacting to give it some oomph. Reasons Europe synth, a Deepmind 6 sample and some Bassstation 2 samples too. Thanks for dropping by, mate.

Fantaaaaaastic piece! Drums sound great, nice reverb.

Nice job with the dynamics of the song, the first part was slow, a bit melancholic. The second part showed me pain and anguish, it kept building to the end. The piano was great!

Hope things get better, they usually do. Life's full of ups and downs, good times coming!

on bout to get heavy by pseudoble
Clearer mix. I can hear all the particulars a little more present. Pretty chilled out track, nice percussion throughout the track. This would hold up without the vocal parts, solid track. Great background music to paint a painting to, allows the mind to flow, wander.

This is cool, well thought out track. There are some nice changes throughout the song. Mix is solid. I feel this reminds me of late 80's bands like Pet Shop Boys mixed with Prodigy or New Order. Well done Pete!

on The Gates At Bifrosts End by TribeOfHofund
I would guess Tibetan horns represent the viewing of the gate. The horn sound, tuba, barihorn.

Neat track, great low end. Impactful, like a march. Should be in a Hobbit/LOTR styled movie, good stuff!

on The Bloodstained Guardian by TribeOfHofund
The drums are impactful, the instruments you used are right out of the history books. Very tribal sounding, preparing for conflict, maybe. Would be perfect for a movie soundtrack for the time period you mentioned in the description or even earlier, back to the Picts. Now write a song about their iconography, he!

Wayne
TribeOfHofund
TribeOfHofund replied 25th Oct 2022 - 3 years ago
“Preparing for conflict”. That was very close, sir. Actually, it is about Odin trying to reach the gates of Hel by running from the guardian Garmr, thus avoiding the cocflict, but you bet he was prepared. The ocarina is Odin’s theme, the hurdy gurdy is Garmr trying to catch up. Odin made it, his eight legged horse, Sleipner, who can run in air too, was too fast for even Garmr.

We are pleased that everything intended with the tune, from period to narrative went straigth in to your perceptive mind, sir.

Much appeciated
Thanks a lot

Ear candy ... Wayne, you're just too kind! Our hearts soar into heights like hawks. I initially thought the idea of starting a project that was all about space funk would get on everyone's nerves after a while, but it seems to be going quite well. So: as long as the universe is black, the shooting stars are flying and the stars are twinkling ... we're in!
Thank you so much for listening again...always appreciated.

on Automaton by Killick
This has a native american feel to me but updated with more modern sounds. The keys are fantastic. There's a certain amount of tension in the song that gives the song energy thru the whole track. Punchy and impactful.

Well done Cam, a dilly of a track!

Killick replied 24th Oct 2022 - 3 years ago
Oh hey Wayne! Haven't seen you around for a while, hope everything is going well down your way. Thanks as always for the comment. I didn't consciously think of native american music at any point but I can see why you did. I thought about chickening out and switching the taiko drums for a drum kit actually but I'm glad I didn't.

Have you ever seen the Mickey Rourke movie Barfly? What a trip. Your use of that word instantly reminded me of a few classic lines in that flick that made me laugh.

Interesting as usual. Dark, sets a mood of despair, deep despair. Well done! Hope you are doing well after listening....he!

Take care!

Hiya Wayne! I knew using the term barfly would be loaded for certain listeners, haha! I identify, thats for sure — fav scene was stumbling into the wrong apt and raiding the fridge. The real genesis of the song was a matt johnson/the the short film that robin had me watch a year or so ago that opened with a long long take of a damaged individual before launching into this is the day. Can’t find a link to that for some reason.
Anyway, you got every wavelength i aimed for. Thanks from the heart for listening, man!

on Water Treatment by Zootman
Ahh, very meditative approach to the track, peaceful, tranquil. The drips are nice. You have a good grasp on making an audible place to go and visit in my mind.

I like these kind of tracks, water ones are nice. I have an hour long cd of ocean waves on a beach that would put me to sleep in no time.

Well done again!

This is interesting, glad I gave this one a try. Some good dynamics to the track. Lyrics in morse code, now that's a new take on things! You should try Braille next, ha, just kidding.

Would sound good in a hi-tech thriller movie. Mix sounds good too!

Intro was cool and when it kicked it I was totally impressed! I liked the description, as others have mentioned, it's quite spacey sounding which I like. Nice mix, great collab...again!

Hi there Wayne,
I (Micky) personally am very happy that the description could contribute something to the imagination, because at first I was unsure whether it made any sense at all. But it sure is a good substitute if you don't have a video to convey what you had in mind while composing. Oh god I can't even think about how much a video for our tracks would cost... the spacey stuff.
Nice that you checked in
Cheers from Micky & Robbie
