love the dub vibe, and bass line, good mix of electro elements, I like this because it sounds original, not like anything around, great mix of the voice and gun effects, all it misses is a great rap flow over it, enjoyed it a lot. great job. Peace Love and Freedom to do Hip Hop if you feel like it.

OK I'm back, just read your bio, it explain a lot, you're a pro and it shows the skill the emotion it comes from a life in rock, but what really made me laugh is your number one album of all time, check out the track I entered to the competition in rock and check the video, I think we have similar taste in Zeppelin albums, you have to check the video I made for the track Rise of the Swan (get the allusion to Zep, lol)

Your video is great....I have also been doing some local radio and recording ad spots in my studio, also when I was a kid my Dad was a program director in country radio. I have to tell you this site is the best..I used to go onto garageband.com you upload your tracks and let everyone hand you your ass and tell you how much better they are then you. The people here are awesome. I am glad I joined the group.

Wow man, this is serious writing and story telling, you have a great vocal delivery hope you don't hate me for what I'm going to say but I felt like a Bob Dylan feel to the way you tell your story (and this is meant to be a huge compliment) its the blues feel, Bob Dylan is heavely influence by the blues, and thats only about the writing and vocal performance as this was not enough your production is spotless a true pro production the playing is amazing the loop arrangments are great this is a total track I can't make any constructive criticism, this is a complete track with everything perfect. I lived that story in 1982 as a DJ, I swear.Peace Love and Freedom to love a punk girl but punk girls aren't the marrying kind, lol.

love the drum arrangements you did, glad you slipped in a bridge gives it more substance, great production, it is a dance floor style so melody is less important than the groove and this is true DnB groove, Peace Love and Freedom to Drum N Bass.

on Draw! by Chud37
I' m not familiar with the dubstep style at all, so this is the point of view of someone who is ignorant of the style, I love the production it sounds great, love the synth processing, what for me is missing for my unitiate taste, is a melodic bassline to counter play with your great synth, for me the track started but never got anywhere, great sound for the dance floor, but like the original Dub form from Jamaica it always had a bass that rocked you even if it was very minimalistic it was all about drum and bass combo, your bass punches are almost lost in your great percussion loop. Peace Love and Freedom to learn about Dubstep.
Chud37
Chud37 replied Unknown
Yeah i get what you mean. I was going to add a higher pitch melodical bit but i just couldnt find the right sound and so i thought it was good enough anyway and to just leave it as it was. As for the bassline, Well to be honest i just chucked that in at the end to give it a bit more punch. It is in actual fact just one note all the way through. I could have done more with that I admit! But i got over-excited about it and just put it out anyway. Lol.

But thanks for the constructive criticism, I'll keep that in mind for future songs :)

on Fairytale by DJ_JEZZA
This has a very cinematic feel to it,story telling or I should say Fairy Tale telling, very progressive in the construction, almost like a 70's Genesis prog rock feel, love the arrangement, I wish the strings would have sounded more real less synth, I find real strings have a less of harsh sound, but besides this and it is a personal taste thing, I truly enjoyed the Fairy Tale. Peace Love and Freedom to never grow old like Peter Pan or BigPete, lol.

True i could of messed around with the synths a little more but it was a speed thing :)

Hi there BigPete,

Hey man, I appreciate your comments very much. As you have listened to my past earlier music, you can see how I am learning and progressing as time goes on.
It certainly is fun and enjoyable to listen to the final outcome after many takes and experimenting of what will fit and what won't.

I am geting up there in years and am relying on looping more as my fingers slow down. Many tunes I make, are originally slower as I create the 'tricky parts', and then I decide upon a tempo for the final output.

Thanks again for your review and I appreciate your comments always.

I'm new to this site a little over 3 months and the talent around never stop to amaze me, I've listen to your 3 tracks on top and give you my impression on you as an artist first, you are a modern poet but with a real beatnik feel to his art, they were the modern poet of their times blending music and beat, the first two tracks I found myself more atraccted to your words (that I love) than to the music although I tought the music set the perfect tone to your performance but your performance was what captivated me, and then this instrumental that really had me all ears and I loved the production the groove, it is all tight, glad you reviewed my track now I have another artist I will look forward to hear new tracks from. Peace Love and Freedom to use words as music.

love the mood you set and then progression to a more hopefull part and back to some despair, the piano has a 80's feel to it, very smart use of going from minor to major to create that emotional down up down up again glad it all ends in a up fashion. The quest to find ones purpose is not really one you make choices in your life that are going to make of your life a meaningfull life that will impact others (making music is one), the real trick is to make the right choices. Peace Love and Freedom to impact other peoples life in a good way.

This song defintely came out of a moment of inspiration. I'm not sure if I was conscious of how the music was flowing in this song, that is just how it came out. I agree with your statement about purpose. Thanks so very much.

wow man am I glad you reviewed my track gave me a chance to discover a great new Looperman, love the mood you create with the sound of the production, like we're falling in the abyss listening to you, love the production on the voice, love the subject, sad but true, it's like Leonard Cohen meets with Nick Cave. I'm your first fav and I'm honored to be, welcome to Looperman.

Yes, I just heard it and left a nice review. Again, if you didn't post a notice to it in the Members tunes section of the forum, then many may have missed it as so many songs are posted oh here each day, they disappear off the front page in hours or less!

Great stuff and being Canadian it does have the Canadian power rock sound to it, great job, I know its old but when I saw the title in the featured box could not resist, great job, I'd rather have short and exciting than long and boring, lol.

Randall822 replied Unknown
Hello there BigPete,

Happy that you stopped by again. I'll check out your tunes again as well. I don't get on here as much as I should.

I guess I called this one 'Canadian Pride' because I felt that it had an 'Avril Lavigne' sound to it some. As you probably know, she is a Canadian young pop fox!

Your right about being long and boring. That turns me off as well. I just couldn't think of anything else to put in this one. But I did end up making it nearly twice as long by repeating a section not too long after i did it. Just didn't repost it is all.

Thanks for reviewing this.

Wow, great job I really felt like there was a DJ there jamming the tables live for me, great creativity, there are a lot of good tracks on Looperman but a lot of them are just that great tracks that are study in sound but lack that creativity, this track has plenty of that, you did a great job recreating the vibe of the early rap of the 80's. Peace Love and Freedom to go Old School.

Hey C I'm back for more and I really like what I hear real soulfull track, all its missing is a very strong blues soul vocal over it a la M J Blidge, thats who I was hearing in my head through the track as I was listening, great mood job here, love the discrete but very good guitar work. Peace Love and Freedom to disguise ourself not only on Halloween.

Thanks Pete :) Like I said in the description, the guitar part was orginally played by Bemused Stranger, but for some reason it wouldn't loop right when I downloaded it. It didn't want to sync up with the metronome, so I just replayed it myself, but it's his riff. Thanks again for listening!

Hey Dizzy, man when this started I was not shure but then you came in and did you magic, man I don't understand a fu!!" thing but there is a melody quality to your way of delivering the word that always gets me, and people that hear my version of God is Mad (please tell me what you think of it) said that they like the rhythm you had and they did not understand german to, lol. Good job again, you know I'm a fan, now go check my version of the track God is Mad I sent you through e-mail a better quality mp3 (320K) and be honest and tell me what you think, thanks, Peace Love and Freedom to live life like I want.
