Description : Just another try at drum and bass. This time I've incorporated some circuit bent atmospheres and a vocoded vocal phrase. Let me know what you think!

I think you fit into ONE genre...
It's called minimalistic and you do it very well...
Your tunes are so nice to listen too...
Nice sounds and very well mixed!
Try to get a pella from Looperman... I wonder how it will sound with this tune!
I never thought of it that way. I guess most of my stuff is pretty minimal. Good thought about the pella, but since I already released this song on an album I don't think I'll go back to it. I must move forward. Ha ha! Thanks for listening and reviewing!
You know alot of your stuff is quite simple spiv, but yet it works quite well! Although this doesn't sound too fast pace like DnB usually is. (160 bpm) But who the hell am I right?? lol breaking the rules makes you your own artist! Nice transitions throughout brudda! regards and respect
Yeah it is quite simple, you're right! This song was really brought together by the addition of the vocoder! Actually the tempo is a little faster at 172 BPM, though I admit it doesn't sound like it. Thanks much for the review and fave!
Spiv! this sh.tuff is dope! great f breaks 'n'vibes all together. Love it how you played the eq on this one. This is one pumping'track. I can hear you through it, the rawish bass style, - but at around 2.20 i wish it dropped into something more multi-encompassing, like a variety of, - or a spectrum of this particular vibe-enchancing frequencies. Good vibe though, I'd say extend your breaks and add some layers, shtuff is smooth though, keep it up.
i think you have set down a really great yellow brick road of electronica to travel on here. id be happy to remix or "merge worlds" on this. if that sounds like an idea you would be into drop me a line. i have a feeling that by looking into the subject of "indigo children/star children" may be of help 4 you. "crystal links" is a great web site too. books written about "indigo children" are better info sources than the web too. regards ..................................!1X1!....................................
Thanks so much for your kind comments! I'd love to have you remix this, but I'm in no condition to get together a remix pack for you. In fact I have no CD burner to transfer files to my internet computer. Sorry about that. Thanks for stopping by to listen and review!
like the track quite different soundin from alot of dnb. pretty individual which is always a gud thing. sounds pretty heavy wouldnt mind listenin to it through my sound system instead of these little headphones :(
Yeah it sounds different from a lot of DnB because I'm just a beginner at DnB. But you're right individuality is a good thing. Thanks much for hitting me back with reviews!
I was thinking I would hear "we are devo, d-e-v-o" in there at some point, haha. Boy did it remind me of some of that 80s electronic new wave at that time, like Gary Newman. You can certainly make a genre all your own Spiv, that's a good thing!
Ha ha Devo and Gary Newman, that's funny! I hadn't thought of it that way! I guess that's what I get when I try to make DnB. Thanks for the kind words my friend, and thanks for the fave! Take care man!
This was really interesting. Definitely unlike any d'n'b track I've ever heard, and I quite enjoyed it. If you don't mind me asking, what's the bpm of this track? It sounded a lot slower than 170, which is standard dnb, but then again I've heard a lot of tunes which sound way slower or faster than their actual tempo.
Hey thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it! The tempo of this is actually 172 BPM. Some of it is definitely half time feel, in my opinion. I really appreciate you taking the time to review!
some nice ideas here brother I've always liked the idea of taking dnb to other place and this track does that.. perfectly.. fantastic production as always.. very 80's theme to it but at the same time add those pendulum influences.. loved it .. keep 'em coming brother
Hey thanks for stopping to check out this track! I'm glad you could get into my odd style of DnB. 80's theme, huh, I guess I know what you mean. Thanks very much for the kind review!
ya one talent dude alright, brilliant bass, really good intro, had me hooked right from when it started, lol I do agree with AJ's review about the bee :) adding this one to the fav's list mate, cheers and Peace my friend...
Hey thanks for checking out an older track and faving it! I like the intro on this one too, it turned out well. This song does sort of buzz like a bee. Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah! you definitely have a theme!
I like that!
(musically in this track, and artistically)
most people just randomly throw stuff together without a theme...
Deffo got a theme..
I wish I could learn more about this circuit bent theory from you...
Mastering is where you have a lot of opportunities... I feel... mastering to me, is about pulling out all of the sounds, and giving them a right place...
allowing pitch and frequency to lay flat against a constant moving speaker... kinda....
EDIT
I don't feel that I am infallible or a master at mastering btw..
your mastering is great!
I just think this could shine more with more left and right disparities, and perhaps higher frequencies.. I may be wrong...
I tend to do metal type mastering, but if you don't mind, i could totally bring out some stuff??
I love it...
I realize this is a bit older of your work...
It's still a really amazing track!!
Faved, downloaded
a shame I hadn't known before!
Hi friend, thank you for reviewing, faving, and downloading!
I appreciate what you said about me having a theme, I try my best. Which leads me to what you've said about mastering. I used to try and master my tracks to perfection, with some pretty good results. More recently I've been using mastering as an artistic tool, generally to help give my tracks a signature sound.
This track I think is still lacking a bit, like you've said. I don't know if I'll be going back to it though. Probably because some of the tracks I did around this time bore me a bit. :)
I appreciate your thorough review though, and I'll take your suggestions to heart on my newer works. Thank you much!
Another sick beat from you.you're def my favourite electro artist with Travishuckins and one of my favs on this site too.Your music is so personal and creative,I've heard nothing like this before!

diggin' the textures here that you are using man....your work is so rooted in the classic electronic giants of the school man, reminds me of not only yello and kraftwerk but also the 8bit weapon stuff i've heard recently...real and direct, that vocoder stuff put's me right back in front of the Mudd club on 23rd st nyc...1981-2..when Arthur took Trans Europe Express and just ran with it...thanks again for sharing your unique sound bro !!
victormusic01x...in the ny c!...ich nie san shi...one two..one two..uno..due...treeeeee...quattro...one two..!!
I'm really happy you've enjoyed this one. I really haven't listened to much of the groups you speak of, but maybe I should be... heh I'm glad the vocoder brought you back to an interesting time! I appreciate your unique and entertaining reviews. Thanks for stopping by!
This is brilliant!
Reminds me of Yello.
Such a good vibe!Well mixed and produced.
Your work is different and inspiring.
I think this is a fantastic track.Def one for my ipod!g.x
I love circuit bent stuff...it's like the machines we use, abuse and totally rely upon are finally getting their say!...this sort of stuff bores right into your psyche,it gets behind your eyes.....and you can't stop nodding your head! lol..great track man..nice use of the vox as well..cheers planet :)
It's nice to finally use these gadgets I've put together. and use them in a musical fashion. I think the atmospheres really bring this track together. It's good to hear some one else appreciating it. Thank you very much for checking out my new stuff!
overall flow roll of the hit hat is nice ....and the kicks u used alsowell a bit feective for this tracks ... nice blends !!! tempo of this could be some what better if the tempo was a bit fast ..liked the ending u gave ... that was a good stuff ... all the equo has been set properly ... thats all i can review u in this track :)
nice work bro..!!!
keep trying new stufff!!!
its really inspires me !!!
becoz i believe in "new experiment always roczzzzzzzz!!!
ALL the best bro!!! god bless !!!!
Maybe I should remix this track at a faster tempo or something, it seems like it might be better that way. Thank you for your helpful comments and encouragement. Glad I could give some inspiration!
good beginning, although one criticism i have is that even though the drums are nicely eqed, they are quiet repetitive. Not saying it's not right just saying adding a few minor sounds in the front of the mix might hvae given it a nice variety
Personally I would have changed the note patterns the second time around, but sometimes it doesn't work that well, sometimes it does, so that's just my little 2 cents right there :)
Have fun! and Good work!
God Bless

Ah ha! I love it, I checked out the gallery. Dude I really admire your skillz, both in THIS song, your other tracks and then for your obvious skills and understanding of electronics and sound. Vry cool.
Thank you very much! I wish I understood electronics more, but I think I have put holes in my brain since I built all this stuff. Maybe I just exceeded myself. I appreciate the good review!
For me, your music is incredibly visual. I keep vacillating between impressionism and dadaism. It's the layers and the mega-texturing you're doing at the deep levels (either that or I'm suffering audio hallucinations again). Wanting to drift off into total digressions, so I'll just give a nod and say how much I like this.
I'm glad to hear this from someone! I've decided that I like to make music that entices the listener to imagine things. It seems like I'm getting closer to my goal then. I suffer from hallucinations audio and otherwise, so I know what you mean. I'm very glad you enjoyed this one! Thanks for the review!
I have a few pictures in my gallery for my looperman profile, and I intend on taking more pictures soon. Those will give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
Your soundscape are always so interesting to discover, again great use of arrangments, like 2 bass line talking to each other, then the haunting vocoder brings in the melodic hook, this is great electro to a drum and bass beat, again a fun journey at sea from Captain Spivkurl.
Thanks for referring to this track as a soundscape...for some reason it's just comforting! I definitely tried to make the two bass lines interact in the realm of frequency. Glad that the vocoder added some interest. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
I hate drum and bass like not as a choice it just sorta happens. I knew I'd like yours. Maybe that was a choice. What is a circuit bent atmosphere exactly? I dare not improvise my own description here in this review. It's too early in the day to let your tracks make my mind start dumping all it's data into this text field.
I'm glad I could make an accessible tune for you. This was a fun one to make. The circuit bent atmospheres are for example what you hear in the background of the intro. They are sounds made from toys which I've rewired into musical instruments. They are a great source of unusual samples. Thanks for stopping by and reviewing!
Well done man. Lots going on in this track...I like that kinda stuff. Loved all the synths and effects used, they all sound killer. The vocoded sample is a real fine touch as well.
This track has a very full sound, whether that's the choice of synths or the eqing I'm not sure. Maybe it's both! A lot of energy with very interesting synths. I love that vocoded sample.
Thanks for taking time to listen! I did do a lot of EQ'ing on this track to expose the underlying layers. I mastered it pretty heavilly too, to keep the mix pumpin. The vocoder came from my Microkorg. Thanks for the review!

Description : Chaos....Chaos ensues when life is unfolding in many different ways all around you. A demand here, a demand there, do this, do that, things going wonky or all happening at the same time. It's overwhelm but it's excitement, it's crazy but it's also very real. Description : In 2015 I made a dubstep track called Labyrinth Of The Absurd. This is part 2. Check out part 1 if you haven't yet. This is a Dark D-n-B. Or whatever.
I used Serum, Massive, Sylenth1. I used no presets, and no prefabricated loops. This is all original content from scratch. The only exception being the vocal samples.
Description : Ambient breaking into dnb I guess. All loops (except for 1 synth by my 7 yo daughter) so I can’t take much credit for this. Free demo loops from Loopmasters and LM loops from:

Description : 170 BPM drum 'n' cell epic. That's drum 'n' bass with lots of my layered, lead cello playing. It's both banging and chilled out, with intricate basslines and soaring, melodic cello parts. Instruments: electric cello, piano, three synth basses, two synth pads. Drums are loads of drum loops supported by a few programmed acoustic drum kits. It's fast and powerful stuff but there are also two deep grooving half tempo sections. No guitar so anything that sounds like it might be is, unsurprisingly, cello. This was fairly hard to make and required a lot of hard work. It's still far from perfect, especially the rather abrupt, unimaginative ending (I couldn't think of anything better). Have a good listen and then consider leaving me some fascinating feedback. Not much drum 'n' cell about so I like to think this is worth checking out...

Description : So ive been listening to alot of dnb lately, and i decided to try my hand at it. It turned out to be alittle more chillout than I wanted it to be, but I still like how it turned out.
A ambient type of DnB track, one to make you think, Second attempt at the DnB genre for this year, again apologise to Drum and Bass artist, guessing again not your normal DnB.Used flute Rhodes Piano, and a few other bits to hopefully get the feeling for the piece I wanted, along with a few break beats/bass lines and FX etc...
Please comment/review and the favour will be returned...
