on Baby will you play for me by ploesch
For me this has got a real motown feel, patricia's vocals and your repeat riffs blending together well. You got me singing along to this catchy tune. great songmanship, singing and playing, loved it.

on electronic symphony 2 by mmmkoba
you are definately a classical composer/producer.. the way this piece moves in and out with that recurring theme is almost cinematic in as much I can hear a sense of urgency, almost like some kind of chase scene. Do you put music to moving images? that's the impression I get from listening to this track. very enjoyable, very listenable...hence i thought I must give a review....

I have to confess to jamming along to this superb country tune and drooling with envy once again at yr pic of those telecasters. keep on producing/composing and playing quality tracks like these for us Looper-listeners..top notch once again Randy..thanks for uploading...

Hi ya DanielGtrman,

Good to hear from you again. Glad you enjoyed playing along with this tune. Just 3 basic chords and you can have a good time. lol
I appreciate your comments very much and I liked your review, since it makes me feel good that I can spur others on, and also to have fun with a song I do.

As for my guitars, I have several tele's if you'll look at my profile gallery. I have 9 guitars total and some other instruments in the pictures...including my 1971 Emmons pedal steel that I use.... in a different picture.

The 2 Buck Owens special edition guitars are not used...just for investment purposes. Worth about $2,000 each now. (I got them from Canada).

I love the Telecaster sound and that is why I own several, as not all have the same sound with differing pickups, de-tuners and palm pedal.

Thanks again...I'll do another country tune soon.

on Echoes of Before by Sourgirl
Your tune came up in featured a 2nd time so I thought I'd give it a listen and review. I like the busy yet chill feel to this track, it's a very clever composition in my opinion and shows you have a good "ear" to allow the delays to continue on the piano sound without being over-indulged. My first thoughts with this were it's a classy instrumental in it's own right, yet I can hear a voice-over of poetry or prose, bit like what Eshar does.....then I noticed she has allready been hear and gave your track a listen. I guess you are a composer/producer of many cross-genres and this is only the tip of the iceberg as to what you can do......

I'm glad you took a moment to listen to the song. I struggled with adding vocals to this, but I think it sounds great on its own and I do not want to distract the listener away from the chill vibes and the relaxing atmosphere the song creates. Thank you for your comments!

on Gravy Train by Planetjazzbass
...reading the other reviews I am surpised you got a VST for the base line 'cause this almost sounds like a fretless Alembic base or something. very convincing sound of the base within the overall mix. If you're not doing music for film/TV you definately should be. You have the talent, creative perception and a wealth of ideas to draw on. (I got so many drum loops of Looper ID ; 111346 as proOf) Any music industry guys take note..!!....

Hey Daniel..thanks for the cool rap mate!..All my bass work is played on my 1968 Fender Jazz Bass (affectionately called Wilma)..though I wouldn't say no to an Alembic or two! lol...cheers Dave :)

on Giggle song for Anomely Jones by Becca
Weird and Weirder !! I gotta agree with NickQ on this one. kinda reminds me of Gremlins meets Chucky and lets have a party !
I found myself giggling along so I guess you must have put some strange substance in the audio mix that hooks you onto the giggles....a very clever and creative track. I'm now a bit nervous when I hear somebody giggling......

on Rock Lives ft AllenV by DJSchmeeJ
What a Stonkin' rock track this is !! I saw Allen V's name on your collab and decided to give it a listen. Love those screaming harmonics on the opening lead guitar part. The whole track rocks and progresses nicely, with the mix being just right (to my ears anyway). I got some serious speakers and turned this one UP...neighbours suitably sonically blasted into next year....great motoring rock track..

on It Was not me by truegrit
This rock track definately has a country groove about it, not only in guitar style and rhythm, but for me, real country music has to have an element of pain and angst that comes across in the lyrics and vocal style. You have all these elements that blend together very well that make this track very addictive listening. I would like to hear what you could do with a blues track....This track gets my vote...a really good mix.

on Blow on this by Saxobones by SLAPJOHNSON
The Slap man is back !!...and what a track you have here. I like the balance of sounds that support your sax playing without any sounds being out of place. A well crafted and catchy tune. I have yon cheapy laptop and have immense glitch-problems but after listening to this I am persuaded to go forth and obtain a macbook pro. Very smooth tune and sound.....

SLAPJOHNSON replied Unknown
Hi Daniel, I'm glad you like the track! I still feel I have a few tweaks to do yet, mainly in compression ( something I am trying to get the benefits of and to come to understand ). I have a whole album in production at present and I intend to make it the best creation I have ever made. Tall job I know, but posting on Looperman helps me with the feedback I need to push forward with this masterpiece of modern funk.
Cheers, Slap...

on The Ghost and the Girl Collab Remix by Jowe
I listened to and reviewed your "weird" original and thats what sticks in my mind, I have an audiogenic memory.. the drums, for me, detract from the creepy-weirdness. But if this was music in a film then I could "see" the drums bringing in a sort of chase scene. Still a great track. If you've not done so allready maybe you could write music for films....
Jowe
Jowe replied Unknown
thank you :D

I really love musics for film and I think I will try a project for a movie... not a real one, but i'll see.

Should I do a youtube video with my original track or this one ? (question for everyone :D)

Hello Mr.Frenckid !

A very melancholic but pop sound you have here, with that catchy little ad-lib vocal you put in now and then. Definately a track of real substance and has gone into my fav's....well done you and the Humpsman.

on Romantic Bliss by Becca
This is a very appealing tune and reminds me of my daughter's ballet dancing.... In fact, that visual idea came across to me the first few bars into this gem of a tune. If you ever get to do a video to this track then you gotta include this ballet dancer idea!! Like other reviewers have said this track needs some lyrics and vocals..... sort of dancing and romancing. Just a thought.

on broken smile by kerry
You have a great gift of bringing the melancholic into your songs which I think is a winning formula. I like the simplicity of your folky style but I also agree with AllenV about collaborating here on looperman to extend and develop your musical styles and arranging. If you've listened to any of Minor2go's tracks then you'll know how good an arranger/producer he is. If time allows doing a collab would be the next step up. A very catchy and haunting track...

Your title sums up the whole feel of the song; it's got this sadness about it that hits home with the start/stop rhythms and the haunting vocal. A very well put-together production where all sounds compliment one another to make this superb track.

on The Saga Continues by BluntsAndBeats
Your track was well worth the listen!! definately a mix of genres but definately your style. I like how the synths blend in and when that Rhodes kicks in it takes you somewhere else, same with guitars and organ. I can almost visualize/hear a kind of slow rap-voice over on this, something that would be as powerful as the music is. I can no more rap than fly to the moon, so someone who is talented in that genre could maybe add that zing. Thanks for posting this well produced gem of a tune.

I love the intro on this...and the middle...ok the whole damn track is cooking! difficult to say what genre it is, hip-hop orchestral or ?? one thing for sure it's definately your style and gone to fav's. It's one of those tracks I gotta keep listening to in the car/mp3 player... No download? can this track be bought online somewhere ?? That piano & strings sound is crisp and clear, a top notch tune and production.

on one more mojito by rei4real
If someone had said who's track is this, based on pure listen only, then to my ears it's Rei's for sure. This is you at your vintage best; none of the instruments stand alone in the mix as you have blended them all in an unimposing way (wish I could get band members like this !!) and once again your production follows the same principle as the playing. Bringing in progressive changes as the track moves on. Simply superb and straight to favorites.
