Your track came up in "featured" so I gave it a blast. If you were rusty when you made this then I gotta here what your other stuff is like. This snippet is so very well mixed in all departments, to my ears at least. All the sounds compliment one another and you don't have a "wrong" sound or rhythm in there at all. Keep on with your distinctive style..mucho likeo allotto.

on Still Ablaze by Ablaze7
Sorry to hear about your accident. It's obviously not detracted from your music production, if anything it's added a new dimension. Your track here is very powerful in the emotive and sonic sense and is a very clever mix between orchestral sounds and the hip hop beat. Definately ablaze ! long may your fire burn thru your music...

on Time For Change - SpellJammer Collab by AllenV
This is a class track Allen. your guitar sits smoothly on top of Spelljammers piano riff, and you rightly say you are both on the same wavelength. If any of the girls give this track a listen then maybe they could add a vocal and lyrics to your mastertrack but they would have to be exceptionally good to mix in the right way to your track. (just an idea). this is fav'd and dwnload'd from me.
AllenV
AllenV replied Unknown
Thank you Daniel!Vocals would be great for this and is what Spelljammer had in mind to begin with but you know how that goes, so many tunes get released as instrumentals so maybe someone will offer.I was thinking that we might start approaching them!
Thanks again for listening my friend.

on Futility by Codger
This is a clever track you have put together Codger. At first I thought it was a jolly little tune, then I realized the title and it puts it in a whole different light. Seeing as you got this image of an old guy as your avatar it got me thinking as I was listening about how futile things can be for old people...indeed for us all. Your tune has a hint of angst in it and just hits home the idea of futility. One final comment, there is always hope as it's a small village in derbyshire.....

on Time - Gil Scott Heron Tribute by bobbybooth
Definately got the spacey/trippy vibe to it. I can hear bits of R&B and with the synthy voice reminds me a little of Herbie Hancock. It's probably got 109786 styles in there but one thing for sure it's definately your style and works very well. Not sure what you can add/change as to my ears it's pretty much a complete work. Addictive listening, thing is I'm sssoo busy but I would like to listen to this when in Chilled mood. Mucho Likeo.

on im here 4ever by Anomaly J and Moskri by sirsilver1968
I spotted you got AJ & Rei on here so I thought I gotta give this track a listen. love the beat and the melody you got running through and it's such a BIG sound you have. The mix progresses nicely keeping the interest going and you have sat AJ's voice perfectly in there, with the right kind of sounds to complement her voice. Big track, infectious listening and I'm addicted....

on 80s homage by sirsilver1968
When I read you used sounds of the tr808 I just had to give your track a listen and was not dissapointed. Very nice 80's feel to the whole track and the overall mix progresses nicely as you add more sounds. Gets my vote, excellent opening track on looperman which makes me pose the question : when you doin' some more...

on The Road Home (update) by AllenV
This is one gorgeous acoustic track I just had to download it !! A great sound and song, my gut reaction is that you played this one on the emotional level, hence the title, and as you get nearer to home this comes across in the music. All I want to add is ; how did you get such a pure acoustic sound? If poss I would like to know what guitar/microphone and recording process pls. Thanks for posting this gem of a tune.
AllenV
AllenV replied Unknown
Thank you Daniel.I would like to say that I worked very hard for days to create the guitar sound but the truth is I didn't.I used the Tascam DP-008 digital 8tr pocket studio,it has two small built in mics but they do a great job,I sat on my couch and placed the recorder on the arm of it,turned the lights down and played. It really has quality for a 8r under 300$,it runs on 4AA also...which is nice and portable,it is very small.
You are the first person to mention the title...I plan on doing a series of acoustic songs to document this journey as it unfolds, those songs have to definitly be inspired.
Thanks again Daniel and check out that recorder on youtube..I should do a commercial for them as much as I talk about their product...lol.

on I Gave You My Own by leau
Hi Leau,

It's fortunate for me I have a decent amplifier/speaker system as you have the whole sonic range here and then + + +. I'm a guitar player but I like other genres and I am always impressed by people who can produce a genre as it's supposed to be, which is what you have done here. Strong beat with counter rhythms and love the big fat base sound. Holly's voice adding to the dynamic range. I would be interested in any kind of collab if you wish to try something different. Excellent track and WOULD LIKE TO download it to annoy the neighbours some more....is it on I-tunes??
leau
leau replied Unknown
Thanks Daniel.

I'm an open mind musician and I think trying different musics style as a composer is always a good thing. So why not for a collab someday.

Sorry for your neighbours, it's not on I-Tunes. Still have a lot of work on this tune.

Sounds like you got a bad case of Loopermania, but well worth the effort and sleepy collapse on your keyboard. Lots of energy and I like the piano section breaking in. Matchsticks are a good idea to keep the eyelids open....

Thank you for the review, yeah i've been really busy, i think i've published like 4 tracks in the last two days or something like that. I think i'm going to take today to just relax, maybe listen to this 3 or 4 hundred times haha. (thats what i said yesterday) anyway, thanks for the review, i really appreciate it as no one seems to review my stuff but... whatever, i'll still make the music :)

I'm not a metalhead but I like to hear good playing which is what you have here. Interesting track title in as much metal-music tends to vere into the dark side, but this track turns all that on it's head. Powerful track in every sense...

on Lindwurm Maer by Hetman
Very Eerie folk rock style. Reminds me a bit of Scorpions "winds of Change" especially with the whistling section. I get the meaning from your description but as I don't understand German do you have an english version? Great song with the right atmosphere coming across.

on Tell Me What You Think Collab Chris Charles by Gordw
A very catchy tune that got my feet tapping straight away. I think the mix works well in that you have not over done anything, in fact all the sounds enhance one another to enable your lyrics to come across. A careful mix without losing any freshness in the song. Great !! love it..

on On A Sinking Vessel by BrianMaiden407
A very powerful track, both sonically and emotively. I cannot but echo what other reviewers have said about your track in that it is a fitting tribute to those who have suffered in the way you describe. I don't know if you'll play this live, but if you do you could have some equally powerful images from such events as 9/11 on a large screen as you play this song. Could easily have gone into cinematic but rock it definately is. respect.

on My Love by Jeffiedillard
Pouring our life experiences into our music creation is very beneficial to composer and listener(s). From a composers point of view it helps us move on, gives us a stepping stone to something greater. From the listeners point of view it's awesome music coloured with intense thoughts and emotions that are captivating, and if you've been in that place the compser is wanting to bring across, it "strikes a chord". A painful experience but wonderful music. Continue to write this way Jeffierenee. Thank you for posting and sharing here on the Land of the Loops....

on Outlaw Blues by SpyderX
I like all forms of guitar style music and this country track you have come up with gets the feet tapping and had me jamming along. A real Gutsy feel to this track with the vocal effect/style, I can "see" this in a western movie; could have put it in Country-Cinematic but no such genre. One thing for sure it's definately your style and gets my vote. Keep 'em coming..great stuff.
SpyderX
SpyderX replied Unknown
Thank you very much, Daniel. I appreciate the listen and review. This song was actually sort of a dare. A friend told me that for any musician from Texas, it was mandatory to write at least one country song, so I did. I actually kinda got into it though, so I'm workin' on a few more acoustic, country-flavored tunes for the heck of it.

Peace,

on Fool Me Once by MarkGregory
The Blues man comes to town !!! If there's ever a "blues night" in one of your local clubs where anyone can turn up and do their blues thing, the you HAVE to do this live somewhere. They say the only way to sing the Blues is if you're knowing or known the pain...This really comes across in your singing Mark. All Hail the BluesMeister !! I'm a blues addict and I'm certainly hooked on this track you have come up with. I would like to hear what you can do with a much slower Blues track.....so possibly a collab could be on. Great song..Lurrve it !!
MarkGregory
MarkGregory replied Unknown
Thanks for that Daniel. I am in total agreement about a collab. Shoot me something you have in mind, I'll gin up some lyrics and we can "BLUES" it again together. Thanks again for the backing for this one...I need to show the vocals a little "studio love", and it can be much more refined.

on Cantando bajo la Lluvia by Vicen
Hi Vicen

Great to hear youre making tracks here on Looperman. This one I especially like as it sounds full of fun and energy, and I like your inspiration from the Spanish proverb. Is there a possibility of an english version...?
Vicen
Vicen replied Unknown
Thank you. I do not dare to sing in English. But who wants to do, I will send the text in Castilian. We also send the background without the voices and can make an English adaptation. Also you can invent the words you want, since the harmony, already have it.
