I am listening to your updated version. I'd have to say it sounds more like Jazz than Blues. Just my opinion though.
It sounds very good and the guitar does sound very clean so it was worth getting it 'fixed up'. I usually have that done right away with all mine as well.
I think you did a very good job on this tune and it will be great to hear it with female vocals on it. So let me know when you have done that and I'll listen again.
You might want to post it again in the forum as an update....or I suppose wait till vocals are added first. :-)))
Thanks for steering me here, it was a pleasant treat!
I had to come and listen to this tune here featuring some Blues.
The guitar and drums are right on. Good vocals as well. I don't sing myself.
Most of my blues songs are done using slide since not many on here do that. My 3 part blues tune is a good example.
I think you did a very nice job here and I am happy to be your 1st. reviewer.
Keep up the good work!!!
Randy
Dude, I kinda forgot about this tune until you reviewed. Partially because of you, I re-recorded it a day or so after your review.
I have 2 versions. This update is now in C instead of D. THANKs for your review!
Thanks for reviewing my rock tune awhile back. This is a review in kind back to you for that one.
I like this tune you put together here. I like everything about it and really can't add to what everyone else has written. Just a nice full track with nice sounds and rhythmn. The tune I am working on now is a Trance and my 1st ever....(Probably my last) :-)
Anyways. you did a great job with taking your time and doing it until your satisfied... is the best way.
Randy
Getting around to review another of your tracks in response to your reviewing my recent rock tune.
Guess this song reminds me of several 60's band songs all rolled into one. Fortunately, I never smoked any pot or got caught up in drugs myself. But I suppose it helps others 'medically'.
Nice work putting this all together.
Thanks for sharing,
Randy
Getting around to give you a proper review back from the recent rock tune you reviewed of mine.
Nice tune here. I like the finger picking style of the acoustic guitar. I own a Mitchell myself. Mostly heard on my country tunes.
I like all the playing, and your vocals are pretty good I think. You seem to have a soft voice. I don't sing myself, so I can't give any pointers that way.
Great job,
Randy
Hi Falter,
Getting around to give reviews back to my recent rock tune you reviewed.
This is quite a bit different sounding track. Hardcore as you call it. Has some nice features in it I like....like the synth parts.
Always goood to hear what someone has going on inside their mind. ;-).
Good job.
Later,
Randy
Thanks for reviewing my Rock tune of recent. I am finally getting around to give reviews back. Been working a lot. Had to scour down your tunes list as it looks like I had reviewed most of them already. :-)
So this one I didn't listen to before.
Sounds pretty cool to me. Lot of stuff going on in it. Good drums and steady beat. Not sure if you played Bass on it or not, but that part is good as well. Certainly does have a 'spacey' sound to it.
Good job in mixing it.
Randy
Hey, a really nice tune here. Makes me wish I could sing so it would bring my tunes to life.
I like this tune....almost Bob Dylan style to me. Has a nice guitar sound and put together very well. Probably could sell this song and make some $$.
thanks Randy, yes I love the Dylan feel to Martin (SobStrory) way of delivering his vocals and the way he writes his stories, was an honor to have him write something for on of my tracks. Hope you're having a fun summer, peace Pierre aka BigPete
Hey, cool track. Like the guitar fuzz sound. Reminds me of the older days. I've never done any hip hop stuff as it doesn't particulary interest me. But I like your tune here with this beat.
Hey thanks buddy! I love the drums in this too actually.
I need a new amp to be honest with you man..this ones on its way out!..i think im gnna get a flextone iii..iv played them before and they are amazing amps.
Iv dont listen to any hiphop at all...thats why this came out hen i tried to make a hiphop track haha...its soooo not hiphop haha
Thanks for taking the time to listen buddy and thanks for a pleasant review
Saw in the featured box that you had a Trance tune up and wanted to check it out, as I am also working on a new Trance tune myself since just uploading a Funk mix. I have never done one before myself, so it might be a bit challenging for me. ;-)
I guess Trance tunes are all about the steady faster beat.
I like this one here as you have some variety in it and has a nice sound to it. I like the breaks in it compared to others never stopping and taking a breath.
I hope I can do as well. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Randy
Thanks for reviewing my latest track, 'Funky Mix'.
Glad you enjoyed it.
So in return, here is my review of your latest.
I haven't done any tunes like Cinematic yet....altho I am fully equipt to do so. Working with loops is a lot of fun and I see you did a very nice job here of putting this one together.
I like everything about it actually. The piano part is cool especially. Nice and clean sounding. Fits in nicely with the overall picture.
I think you did a great job in putting this one together.
As far as making an ending, not excatly sure other than a repeating part that fades out. Sometimes, my tunes end abruptly, with a delay effect at the very end which is cool sounding.
Ah jeez Randy, please forgive the lenght of time for my reply. My memory is like a...err...uhm..what was I talking about ?
Thank you for reviewing this track. I am very concerned about the bees - they do a unique job, humans or machines cannot do what bees do, and they are disappearing. Somewhat worrisome.
Later dude.
So nice to hear acoustic guitar playing cleanly. I have a Mitchell one I bought last year.
'Tapping' is what I call what your doing. Steve Vai and many other rock guitarist also do it. I have done some, but I am not good at it as it takes practice. However, it sounds like your on your way.
The birds in the background weren't a distraction to me. Even added to the ambiance to it all I feel, if anything.
I think you did a very nice job and hope you'll do more.
Randy
Via is pretty cool..i prefer satriani over via though...via is too flashy haha
Ye it is more or less just tapping while holding a chord...its pretty easy to be honest!
Mitchell guitar woo iv seen a few of them...theyre pretty! i own a Takamine myself...i love it to bits! best acoustic iv ever played...i had to buy it haha
Thank you for the review and thanks for listening randy!
Been wanting to get to hear some of your latest as I have a couple days off now.
Sounds like a fretless bass here. Something I have never owned. Has a nice sound. Kinda of gives a warm mellow feeling.
The piano parts fit in nicely from your friend. Very nice production overall.
I have Ableton live that came with my Pro Tools, but have never used it. I did open it up and experimented with it for about 1/2 hour and decided it was too much to learn all at once, as I was learning PT. at the time too.
Hey, I really like your tune here. Very nice sound and playing throughout. The saxes are great sounding and the mix is very well done. I am not sure I was even on Looperman when this came out so I missed it.
A few folks have asked me to try and do 'funk' type of tune so I am working on that, as I have time. Not sure it will be up to your caliber tho. I am gonna mix it with some slide guitar/blues to make it a little interesting since funk really isn't my normal genre.
Great job here and thanks for sharing this great tune.
Randy
I am at home now and can hear your song clearly. I hear that the sound is coming out both L/R speakers now :-) and it all sounds good.
The tune has a nice story line going along with the title.
So you did a nice job here and the original artist (KRUZO) as well. Thanks for posting and sharing.
Randy
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my rock tune....so I wanted to return the favor and check your tunes out as well.
I like the guitar sounds in this one as they are nice and clear.
Of course your vocals are very good as well. Has a slight rough edge to them, but I suppose it depends on the song your doing.
Anyways, a very nice job on this song and hope you'll make many mor.
Randy
Since you recently reviewed one of my tunes, I wanted to see what you had up as well. I don't recall ever seeing your name before is all.
This tune here sort of reminds me of Rap music at first when it starts out. Then a bunch of stuff happens and all kinds of different sounds come up.
I'd say an interesting tune for sure.
Ha Ha...got your note and I just wanna say, not much really bothers me, so poke fun at me if you want, but I know your kidding. It is good to have a sense of humor. I am the type that almost nothing bothers me these days at 65 yrs. :-). I'll be lucky to get another 10 years out of my talents. i suppose as long as i can still move a mouse. ;-)
I see some complain that this tune isn't real country, well, I suppose if you had pedal steel in it and a fiddle and in 2/4 time, then it would pass. haha
I don't play my steel much anymore. Dang thing weighs 75 lbs..... without the case.
Anyways, thabnks for your reply...I appreciate it.
Randy
I saw your post about this tune so I thought I'd check it out.
A very cool tune with that cool beat. I envision them dancing now on the steet. :-)
You did a great job on this tune. The guitar sounds really good too. Funny you mention a organ with a Leslie speaker....I am doing a tune now with that in it as it sounds so cool when it starts from a near standstill and revs up and then back down.
Anyways, a very nice job and thanks for sharing it.
Randy
Lol, thanks Randall you know I'm having fun with you, you are an inspiration for a young 50 years old like me that there is still a lot of fun ahead for me and that I'll stay young as long as I feel young, And you can kick my as any time in any genre it will be an honor and a source of pride for me, as for the track I wanted something fun and simple to dance to, mexicain wedding in El Paso type and the track does make me feel good, Peace Love and Freedom to poke fun at the people you like.
Thanks for reviewing my 'Canadian Pride' tune.
I see you have a couple tracks up so I'll be the first to review this one.
I like the gated intro. Gated effects sound cool. I should use them more. However, he lead instrument is too far in the background I think as the drums are louder than it.
Thought I better come over here to your page and see what I was in for. :-))).
This is a very nice song and I like your vocals. I hear a lot of 'breathing' in the tune. Like everytime you take a breath, it seems 'magnified'. Not that's so bad, but very noticable by me anyways. Can be fixed some by rolling off the higher EQ settings some.
Nice guitar background and singing. Like others said, a folk song type of tune and its really nice to hear for a change.
Randy
I like the intro in this tune. Nice piano delay sets the mood.
I find the tune as a relaxing mood type. I liked it as it was a lot different than I listen to usually.
I see a lot of people have listened to this tune, but few reviews. On the other hand, 6 downloads also means others liked it as well.
Thanks for the review man, appreciate it ... I feel this tract suits the genre well. And on a different note man, you should have waaaaay more reviews of that metal track Heavy Metal Highway regardless, I just dont get it but I understand that they all cant be zingers as Les Claypool would say.
Hadn't listened to one of your tunes in awhile so I have some time and decided to check this latest one out.
Nice intro! the whole song sounds good and the vocal fits well with it. I am not into Hiop hop, but I listen to it now and then just to see what is going on....and Rap as well. Too many words for me to remember. Ha!
Trying to find some songs that I haven't reviewed of yours already. So had to dig back in time here as I didn't hear this one before.
Well, this tune was really quite different than anything I had heard before. Kinda like a big jam session to me. Lot of different stuff going on, so it sounds kinda busy as I think someone else also mentioned this.
Anyways, nice job putting all this together and making it work.
