Wow...what a great song. It should be on the radio! You did a nice arrangement with this one, and MuzicIzMee4Ever's voice is just great on it. I picked this song here as I wanted to see what she sounded like on this song with you here.
She also did a country song with me called, "Walkin Shoes" on my page not too long ago. First time she ever did country...and it came out great. Doing all the lyrics and vocals/harmonies. So she can sing anything I feel.
Anyway's, Barry, good to hear your playiung again and that your still putting quality songs out.
Are you on 'Facebook' by chance? I am as 'Randall Miller'.
Bye and thanks for shaing this beautiful song.
Randy
Thanks Randy! Your kind words mean a lot, especially when they come from someone I really respect as a musician. It's easy to sound good when working with someone as talented as Ms. Edwards. Thanks for stopping by to comment and listen.
Just ran across this beautiful song that you added lead guitar to. Very, very nicely done. I see it was done in August....abouyt the time the site went down, so I missed it back then. I don't get on here everyday. Anyways, you did a splendid job and thanks for sharing it.
Just finsihed listening to your long Blues song. I liked it a lot. Very nice vocals and the intensity going in and out throught the tune. I mean first nice and soft and quiet, and then louder and more forceful.
So it is nice to hear a song that builds as it keeps a persons attention longer I think.
Good job on this song and thanks for sharing it with us.
Just listened to both of your uploaded songs. I think you did a great job on this one here. I love acoustic guitar myself and play my on most all my tracks for the added layering effect. Mine is a 'Mitchel' brand. Not that expensive, but does the job nicely.
You also have a good voice as well. So it is a plus that a person can sing and play...as I can't myself. It certainly adds to any song and makes it more interesting.
Thanks for sharing this great tune with us. I liked it a lot, and the Sax playing by Slap was great as usual.
I didn't understand the words, but it didn't matter as the music was very well done and enjoyable.
Thnaks again for your comments on my music as well.
Randy
Well, this song is the latest one you have here. I liked the overall sound and the song itself. The Bass did sound very nice, and was more out in front on my speaker setup.
You did a great on this song and I did like the changes you made in the middle. Just makes a song more interesting when something different is done, rather than listening to the same all the time.
One of my friends complained that I put breaks in my songs....but I tell them that's what breaks it up...more variety.
Anyways, I like what you did here and all your songs are well done.
I'll be posting a classic rock type of song in a few days that I had done...but couldn't post it here till the site was back up.
Give it a listen if you get a chance. Would like your input on it.
Thanks.
Randy
hi Randall!!
it's great that you like those changes ... and I totally agree with you regarding breaks and changes!
I always compare songwriting with a journey ... on a highway you're maybe fast, but the real interesting roads are the small ones where's a new surprise behind every corner ... you know?
thx for your kind words, and I'm looking forward to listen to your new rock track!!!!
Am surprised that no one has reviewed this song yet.
The acoustic guitar sound was very nice. Your singing is good as well. I don't sing myself. The song is clean and you can easily hear everything, as it should be.
I have a 'Mitchel' acoustic guitar that I use now and then in different songs.
It is cool that you do/did cover songs of the Grateful Dead.
Thanks for sharing....I enjoyed it.
Looks like you hit your upload limit of 50 tunes. :-(
Randy
Anyways, an interesting song here. I know the words are heartfelt and am sorry for the difficult times you had with a breakup.
As for the song, overall it sounds decent to me. Different parts could have the volume adjusted so you could hear the vocals better. It sounds more like your straining your voice to get the vocals out, but I guess a lot of 'metal type songs' are that way.
Best way to make a song sound really decent, even if you have so-called 'cheap equip', is to listen to a song that is already out on CD, of an artist, or of the music type you like, and then listen closely to the different parts and see how they sound. Then try and duplicate that same sound/tone/style....and you'll have a good sounding piece in no time.
So basically you need some 'radio ready'-mastered songs to compare to. That is what I do...but I also have decent eqip. as well now.
Most all my songs are instrumentals, with only one or two that people have added vocals to. One was my last country song. I have done a couple metal type songs, but nothing sounding like this style here.
So I'd say keep practicing and get your tracks down one at a time, and make sure everything is balanced throughout, and you'll do really well, no what type of music you'll make.
Thanks for commenting on my rock tune and for sharing this one.
Randy
I decided on this rock song for my review as you know I love rock.
At first impression, it sounds really very nicely done. The bass part is a little boomy on my system, but not a real problem.
In mastering my songs at my friends studio, he's always rolling the bass off my songs. I also play Bass guitar and love heavy bass and drums myself.
Here the drums are right on, so your friend did a great job with them. Your guitar playing is very good and tastefully done. Doubt that I could ever match it, esp. as I get older! I like the different sounds you get out of it.
So all in all Allen, I like your song, and I should to listen to many more, as I see you also do Blues.
Take care and thanks for sharing Allen.
Randy
Thanks Randy,I do use cheap headphones to mix which can be a problem bass wise.
One interesting think about the drums is that his loop was faster but when I slowed it down, the character changed into a more rock loop which I needed. Also I used all my tutoring from my 26yr old son to add a extra bass drum and the simple snare hits you hear.
Thanks again Randy,I love your reviews cause your're not just a listener but a member of the guitar club!
Sounds pretty cool with the Sitar sound as the lead.
The background fits in well I think. Guess you would call it an Ethnic tune. I have never done such myself.
Would be nicer ...to me anyway's...if other instruments could have taken over the lead part here and there. Would make it a little more interesting I think.
Anyways, Good job overall and thanks for uploading.
Randy
Thanks lot for reviewing my country tune. I like your guitar sound here. Nice and clean sounding. You play very well. Will be nice to re-record it with other instruments as well in the background.
Thanks for the review.
Always enjoy your stuff, you got some mean licks and there aren't that many slip n sliders on here, so i'm always keen on people that are into that!
cheers
jc
Very nice guitar sound. I like that particular sound for rock. The vocals were done very well too. Good vocalist and words.
I think another harmony vocal(s) singing along in the chorus would have been really nice and made a great addition. Altho I do realize a person is lucky to have even one good vocalist.
Perhaps a unit or a software pgm. that does vocal harmony's would work ....might be fun to try and see what happens.
Anyways, just rambling here, the song does sound very good as is.
Hi Randall. This track was made for a four track challenge, there is actually a full blown version with backing vocals on Transatlanticexp page here at looperman, the only thing to be completed is Allen's rockin' lead guitar. Thanks you for the kind words and feedback.
Been awhile since I have heard anything from you. I saw you in the featured window and it reminded me. I worked a lot last year so I wasn't on here much, or making music...but now I am retired and can do what I love most...make music.
So this tune is really cool. I like hearing the bass...sounds like a fretless. The vocals are right on and fit right in this song. I'd have to say you've out done yourself as this a great tune. Very good job Dave.
Hey Randy long time no see bro!...man that's great now we'll get to experience a lot more of your cool music!..musicians never really retire though it's way too addictive,we just get worn down to a nub! lol..thanks mate, this news has made my day it'll be great having you back in the fold!...cheers Dave :)
Wow... a really dynamic track. I like the music and how the song builds and quiets back down. The vocals are very good as well.
Very good quality and to be expected in owning a recording studio.
Can't wait to hear the next song. When you uploaded your songs, make sure you click the 'Featured Track' box...this way they will get played much more often as featured tracks appear in the top right hand corner of the Looperman screen as they rotate around and around.
If you didn't by chance, you can still go back in and 'edit' the song and re-save without uploading the song again.
I wanted to check out your latest venture here. I like the sound of this tune with the background.
Guess someone could put a nice vocal with it...but not me as I don't sing. Probably if I did sing, I'd sound something like Bob Dylan. (Not a bad thing at all). Sort of talking rather than a singing voice.
Looks like your full up on adding anymore songs. I think you'll have to delete some of the earlier ones to make room for new ones.
Anyway, I liked this song you put together, very relaxing.
Thanks for sharing,
Randy
I saw this Blues tune you had here and wanted to give it a listen. I like it a lot. Has the basic Blues pattern....but the guitar playing makes the song come alive.
You did a very nice job on this tune. I did a couple blues songs that have slide in them. Ever try slide guitar?
Overall, your guitar playing shined thru on this song and it is appreciated that you shared this with us here. I may try another Blues tune soon myself. Right now I just finished up a country tune that I'll upload tomorrow if your interested.
Hi Randy, thanks for the listen and nice comments about my guitar playing. I got slide and occasionally give that a go, but I'm no slide-meister like Mr.Randall822....I'll be giving your tracks a blast Randy..thanks again.
Looks I can be your first reviewer here for this song. First of all, I wanted to thank you for your review of a song I did recently.
I haven't lisstened to much of any 'House' type music before, but this is pretty cool. Has a solid steady beat that is always necessary for this type of song. It seemed like the main words of the song just repeated a lot over and over....so I think more lyrics would be great to go with the driving backgrounmd music to tell more of a story :-).
What a joy to hear. Thank you for taking time to listen to the song. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I hope your work goes well and that soon, we can keep enjoying your wonderful music.
Sorry for not getting here to listen to your music and giving you feedback as you left some for me.
I really like this song here. Very well put together and full sounding. The vocals are very good....just an great production overall.
I realize others are helping out here, but it sounds really good to me. So you all did very well and I hope you'll stick together for a long time. I'll be putting up another country tune in a day or so if you care to check it out.
Thanks Randy!
I've been away for a while so forgive me my friend.
You've encouraged me from the start and that means so much.
I just got lucky to team up with these great musicians that share this love of what we do.
I'm gonna visit you soon...I just had to take some time away for work and family.

I am happy to hear this country rock tune here. I like it and it sounds really nice. The slide guitar sounds cool and some pedal steel sounds are there.

I think you did a very nice job on this song and should do more country.
I am posting another modern country song in a few days. Give a listen if you get a chance.
