I can definitely hear all the funk factors going on here and why the groups you listed. It has that goodole old fashioned era of funk that was unmistakably GREAT! :-)
wow brilliant electro pop song! at the beginning it sounds like the chase and when the vocal starts, it's only pleasure to listen to it! really good feeling in this one! the melt with rap is successfull! congrates for this track
Ahhh...what a music...perfect rock/metal with very fat guitar tone...what did you use, if I may ask? guitar solo is a bit back...why?...you felt it's weak?...not...that's f..king cool...give energy for it...
This is killer man! I would have instantly though jungle or hard DnB, so I think you nailed it with this one! The sound design was spectacular to my ears! It was also quite cool seeing you mention Fugazi! I used to listen to them so much in my punk days... now I don't even know how I would be treated if I went punk. I was always fond of "Repeater." You make me want to do another fast paced song, so I thank you for that. Cool all the way through! Fave!
Wow, very cool! You definitely have the hip hop flow in a far more serious way than I ever will! Groovy, a little bit ghetto (compliment), and full on. I like the sounds you chose to use, and the mix is potent. Very fun to hear, and I would love to hear it expanded. Sorry it took a couple of hours to come back to your profile. It's probably worth it though, as I feel much more calm now. Have a good day!
Thanks Mr. Spiv! Actually, this was expanded on. It's the song featuring YBigg. Probably my favorite attempt at hip hop that I've done.
If you want to hear what I was really "known" for prior to me finding Looperman, and you are a fan of bands like Black Sabbath and early era Judas Priest, or just good old fashioned real instruments, Cobwebs is my attempt to slowly test the metal waters here.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much of Man left to get the full picture. I saw Atomic Rooster live at a collage in Manchester but got arrested half way through enjoying myself because I had weed in my pocket. 1969 MAYBE 70.
\m/ FK YEAH!! \m/ Just my style!! I'm a guitarist/bassist fellow doom head, unfortunately bit too busy at the time for collabs but will definitely keep you in mind. My newest thing is working cigar box guitar into doom tunes. Did one yet to post. I have a 4 sting banjo yet to be recorded and a cigar box violin to be completed. I love how My Dying Bride incorporates alot of violin into their works. :p My vocals consist of spoken word or black metal style as I CANNOT sing! but I've learned to counter that with the use of soundscapes, immersing the listener into the tale of terror muhahaha I love your vox, definitely need to work together in the future 3:D> you know where to find my stuff (at least what's on here)I'm not so great with lyrics myself, I guess I overthink them. Deviant Internment is my doom project ( ineed to dust the cobwebs off of), drum loops and drum midi files since I don't have access to a drummer but all the guitar and bass is real and unedited. more please! \m/
Haha. Cool. Thanks man! A cigar box violin? What the...? That has got to be hard on the neck and chin! Can't wait to hear that!
As for more, I've got a bunch. This is one of the more "easy to listen to" doom tunes I have. Some of them get pretty gutteral. I'm a big fan of Goatsnake, Sourvein, and Burning Witch. Long live the Sunn Model T!
Thanks on the vocals, but I am not a fan of singing and am trying to avoid it like the plague!
Checked out Man, but not hearing too much similarity there. But in searching I came across some Atomic Rooster. I think they are from England. A bit heavier than Man and the vocals had that upper tenor range to them. The singer looked a little like Tiny Tim and was eating a sandwich in one of the vids. THAT is definitely similar.
The nying is coming through nicely, where's that second fav button?!
@1:26!!! Fuuuuhhuuckkk yesss, you could make a whole new phrase with that break down.
@1:52 ngyhaha ngyhaha!
You're definitely getting there with the basses, I'm going to send you some pictures of how I make bass noises bigger, I think a visual cue will help out massively.
Ha! Don't listen to this version. Right after updating, I realized it was a version with the Nyings under construction and way to out of the mix. I was looking for the abort button!
Thanks. You are probably right about the dnb. There was a time where I think this would have been considered Jungle. Everything has splintered off into so many sub genres that I don't know what's what anymore. Digital hardcore is fine with me, since I grew up listening to bands like Fugazi, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag and Agent Orange. Yeah, I used to skate....poorly....and my knees hate me for it!
Crazy track man! No shortage of intensified chaotic wizardry happening here. I'm not a big listener to dnb but I must say you brought your game to the show. :)
The soft flute at the beginning and the break was totally unexpected and added a little contracst to the picture, lol!!
I get ya dude, I don't usually like people messing with my sounds for the same reasons.. Nobody sounds as disturbed as I do, until now that is.
Hah,I find intoxication and high emotion are very inspiring, especially whiskey and a War Nerve mentality. I'm glad I could help man, always push it to it's limits.
What the fuck is a limit anyway, who set this limit.. Break it.. With breaks XD
I know the sound you mean, what synths are you using?
I've got a bazzilion quadrillion softsynths. I tend to lean heavily on free and cheap. All the sounds on this one came from Genesis. It was magware that came with an edition of Computer Magazine 4 or 5 years back. It is wicked good, but my edition has an issue with multiple instances. Copying the dll and renaming it took care of it for the most part, so 4 or 5 is the most I can get out of it before my 32bit XP Reaper goes haywire with a big middle finger. I think there was a fix, but it came with another edition of CM haha go figure. I don't mind having to milk it, sometimes it's better not ending up with 900 tracks. It's a synth I revisited and am glad I did. Massive who? lol
I know what you mean about the collab thing. In my short time on Looperman, I've opened up to it. I feel like there are actually people with the same mental disturbances as me! That's why I posted a link to your Sepultura mix in the first place. It takes a lot for me to step out and say "here, I did this, use it and fuck the shit up". Know what I mean?
The last version of this was done in just a few hours. Totally from scratch...sound design and all. I was pissed and it was a fuck it, stick this down your throat moment! haha. I was shocked that people even noticed it and you all gave me killer input. Originally only intended adding a break or two...the extra breaks and the "almost a drop" was for you dude! Figured what the hell...push that shit.
As for the nying nying sound...a few years back, Dylan, Robyn Chaos, Raiden, Hive...all those mofuggers had this one sound that was probably so damn basic but sounded killer. I stopped even attempting dnb (until now) because I couldn't figure it out. Funny thing is, after finding the link and listening, I might actually be able to pull it off. It's funny how a sound changes in your head over time. Still a killer sound, especially the way the manipulate it.
The Shift In Energy Between The Intro And Actual Song Really Gets This Beat Going. Releases A Strong, Aggressive Feeling. Extend The Flute Parts A Bit, Add Some Chop Ups Here And There & You'll Have A Masterpiece. Good Work!

Also, If You Could Check Out My Track "When I'm Gone And Leace Some Feedback I'd Appreciate That
Yeah, this is damn cool! Gives me Public Enemy vibes for sure. While I don't respect the sell out nature of where Public Enemy's members have gone, I do still respect their original works. I liked the chip tune sounding elements in some sections! You did well incorporating dubstep vibes in a hip hop based song, especially considering that it did not turn into trap! Very fun song to hear! Fave!
When the first note of the track is played one thinks that they are about to listen to an ChillOut Ethnic type of track, Then BOOM..What you get is a really, very very, Good Drum & Bass Track. Enjoyed listening to it...
I am with Metabolic on the breaks, especially the flute could be a tiny bit longer but I love this. Pure madness. Great work, if this is what you wrote then I hope you'll a lot more crazy days like these :)
Right on Tee Gee. Looks like the verdict is in on the spots in need of some tweaks. Sometimes crazy days work out, I suppose. This whole thing is became a bit of a surprise.
If I'd had a day like that someone would have been shot! Not my style at all but .... I liked it ... a lot! That is real banging madness. That's I'm coming. That's I want revenge! Video game? I agree about lengthening the intro.
well, this is not a technical comment this is an emotional overview.,..
i can honestly say i've NEVER had a track make me wanna smash things, jump off the couch, throw my cat like a football, and drive my car on the highway REALLY REALLY fast in a high speed chase.....until now. you have pretty much turned me into a complete madman for the rest of the day...i thank you. awesome.... i dont know if youll be able to top it but i'll keep listening just in case. peace Dj Swindla aka mike
Sorry!! Haha. Means a lot coming from someone who puts out some great dnb! I felt like a madman pounding the keys once this started to spawn. Gonna take some suggestions in spots and still want to get my hoover to get some nasty hi pass ripping/tearing going on in spots.
This is some pretty mental stuff. There's a clearly a massive stylistic jump from your gentle, sedate intro to the rapid craziness. But that intro flute needs to be longer eg twice or 4 times as long. That way, you'll have established that mood and then it'll be more shocking when you make the big leap into the new style. 1 sec of that flute isn't really long enough to establish the mood.
Then comes, tight, mental but well produced and controlled rapid pumping with fat bass. Reminds me a bit of punk, in some ways.
0:26 I like that weird lead and it has a tune you can kind of sing along to.
0:45 chord change rise is useful.
I think you could make more use of crash cymbals in this. They'd make things more exciting and more metal. There are hardly any! Otherwise, the drums are good.
1:38 you get the flute return just right. Same idea that doesn't work for the intro but does work here.
1:40 great, dynamic, vocal-like synth sound as everything crashes back in.
Sort that intro out (plus cymbals) and you'll have a cool, banging track.
Yes, great tips as usual. I'm going to tinker around with them over the weekend. Started tweaking that funk tune with some of your suggestions, already sounding better.
