Hey, yep that's me! Even though the vocals were done in a day, I tried really hard on them, tried to put some emotion into it. I like the 80's, so that's a compliment, thanks! My wife thought I sounded a bit Bowie-ish, so I was happy about that! I really appreciate you checking this one out and leaving a comment!
Hey thanks very much! I love designing bass sounds, so it's good to hear someone likes what they hear! I appreciate you listening and leaving a comment!
I like G minor. It's a good key to work in.
Nice to see the return of your vocals as well. Love that synth that comes in at the chorus, thats very grouchy. In fact all of the noises/sounds you come up with are pretty mental (in a good way)
What i like about this is it follows a very unusual pattern. It's a bit like what might happen if the sex pistols teamed up with the aphex twin.
It's a fun track.
FR
Thanks for being the first to leave a comment on this one! G minor was fun to work with, and I think it works for the tone of the song. I'm not sure which synth you mean, but I'm glad you like. I see what you mean, but I'm not sure if it's a usual pattern for me. pistols and aphex... ha ha! Thanks for stopping in!
It's easy to spot out great productions. especially yours. I would had been able to guess who made this even with my eyes close. the construction, instruments everything is in perfect harmony. you did a good job outchea.
Thanks much for your supportive comment! It should definitely sound trippy, for some reason. Glad you heard fusion there too. We'll make a multilayered sammich together soon I'm sure! I appreciate you stopping in!
Saw this one in the feature list so had to come and have a looks see, yes does have your sound about it but also a lot new sounds too, thinking yes Fusion a good pick for this genre wise, as always great arrangement, panning very good, listening on old lap top and all sounds great through the speaks at this end, think one reviewee said lots going on which there is, but everything has its own space, nothing seems to be drowning anything out in the mix, credit to you mate, nice one...Fav'd...Peace n respect dude...Mosaic...
I appreciate your very kind opinions on this song especially on the mixing side of things! Been trying many new things lately. This is the first song which has recordings from my recently acquired piano. I have new monitors now, better midi controller, direct box, learning my newer audio interface more fully as well. It's definitely more fusion than the songs I used to release as fusion, so I'm happy about that. Thanks for always stopping by!
I`d put Spiv`s signature on this one no matter where I heard it (see... you may educate me yet)...can`t help notice the production stuff you have going on Spiv..the way you spread out those fx bits that produces a lot of space for the main synth & beat parts...always an adventure, education an fun listen..cool littel piano bit at the end....right on....Ed
Hey Pat, Thought i'd check out your latest offering and once again it's a propper mind bender. It's a shame you opted out on the vocals as i like your vocal style.
This reminds me in places of a dark and twisted video game like doom or something.
Your unique style really shines through on this track, it's like a haunted house or something.
PS already started using some of the sounds from that pack you uploaded. There's some useful stuff in there.
Great track.
FR
Hey friend, thanks very much for stopping in! I will be back on the vocals soon, just felt like taking it easy for a couple days. Used to love playing Doom, so that's cool! Our house is a little haunted, so maybe that's what you're hearing in there? Glad you're having some fun with those sounds I made. Just sounded like fun to distribute sounds from some of the gear I built. I appreciate the listen and comment!
Someone wrote somewhere: "what I like about your page - and it is very rare to watch - . You seem so modest .... but your are making it all up with your extreme good quality and talented work"
I agree with this person, because you are going to always (at least in what I 've listened of your productions ) beyond musical logic called commercial .... It seems to me that when you have a concept idea .... even this will force us to hear differently, you follow your idea .... and go at the end.
It is this very innovative feature that I like in you .... evidence here.
All this is only my opinion of course, and engages only me.
I am humbled by your review... thoroughly! You help me feel like I'm reaching my goals both as a musician and as a person, so thank you! Good to hear from you again!
I wonder how the idea would sound if you redid the vocals without the auto tune. The parts without it that I was able to hear sounded much better in a clear state but the idea is still a catchy one. I have repeated this twice while I'm reviewing. The instrumentation of this idea sounds hectic (props) lost in the night type sound. I'm not sure what parts of this belong to who in the collaboration between those involved, Not that it's a big deal just curious. Overall, I liked how you worked with the selected theme, a universal question at that! Thanks for sharing and keep at it! Peace.
Hey, thanks for stopping by to listen and comment! I got that response a lot recently about redoing vocals without autotune, so as of like a monthe ago I've stopped using it altogether with good results. I won't be going back to change the songs with it, as it sort of represents where I was at the time. I really felt a connection with the artificial feel it gave my vocals, now I no longer feel that way. The instrumentation, as I remember was all written by Benham DeciBel, I worked with the mix/master and the vocals. I really appreciate your thorough review! Thanks!
Interesting! I never really thought of it that way, but I guess you're right. Cinematic is definitely not my usual preference for listening or writing, so I guess I really never made a song like this. Thank you very much for listening and leaving your comment!
Hi Spiv,
Interesting. You have a lot of different things going on.
Definitely you have an industrial "sound" but you have also a "dark" theme around 1:20
Liked!
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks for stopping in to listen! I wasn't really thinking industrial when making this, I guess it must be the basses and the half time beats or something. That piano riff around 1:20 turned out nice, it's my favourite part of the song for sure. I was surprised how dark C# major could be. I appreciate the review!
Thanks much for your support my friend! I must admit that for the first half of production on this song I was a bit high, and for the second half I was still high. Wasn't going for perfection, just progression. I enjoyed making it, so it's good to hear that anyone can listen to it with some enjoyment. Appreciate the review!
I've never had a psychogenic sammich until now but it was tasty! It has the signature Spivkurl sound but it sounds like something you are releasing on your new disc, your new sound so to speak. It is a little dark and almost cinematic, a bit angry and confused at times. Guess that's where the psychogenic part comes in, lol. It's a crap shoot what genre to put this in, maybe industrial or maybe you are right with fusion. Either way it wasn't the usual music my ears are used to hearing.
Thank you for being the first to listen! I always appreciate your reviews! I didn't even think about cinematic, I guess you have a point there. The psychogenic part was kind of funny, as the word just popped into my head, I didn't remember where I had heard it before, but I looked it up and it seemed to fit... something which is manifested by the mind, and not physiological. The sammich is between me and Spivkurl...heh. Interesting that you hear industrial with this, I guess I just can't avoid industrial ha ha. Thanks again my friend!
Thought i'd drop in and say hello.
I have no idea where your soul is i'm afraid but what i do know is i like this hammering track. I always seem to prefer the ones you've put vocals to and i think this one might just be my favourite so far.
This reminds me a little of a band called godflesh (but better)
F****ng excellent spiv!

Thanks for visiting my friend! Was defintely a cathartic collab with Benham! I prefer the ones I do vocals for too, that's why I'm trying to move that direction again. Trying to train myself not to use autotune anymore. I'm glad it's a fave for you! Really appreciate the F-ing excellent and the comment!
It's pleasing to hear your response to the song, so thank you very much! Having fun trying new things while keeping to my core values. I really appreciate you listening, leaving your comment, and for faving the song!
this shit is hard, so expressive, lofi enough to allow interpretation, hifi enough to kill it
your vocals are getting so good i want you throwing down accas,
chav chaos, it gives me, you have a signature sound to you, your cadence is spot on, your delivery on time, theres an element i cant describe yet though, something very complicated, favorited.
Definitely one of the best reviews I've gotten, and from a member who inspires me thoroughly, that says a lot! To be told my cadence and delivery is proper means very much to me! I'm not sure if I'll ever do accapellas or not, i gerally prefer to have my vocals in a remix kit setting with the instruments used. Might be worth it for this song I guess. Maybe I'll work on that. Thanks so much for the comment and fave!
Mate circuit bent master at work, this is very catchy, nice flow, liking the vocals, really lost for words with this one mate, so digging it but can't find the words to describe what I want...So will settle with totally love it and adding to fav's...Peace my friend...Mosaic...
Hello my friend! Thank you for your kind words! Makes me happy that some people can hear where I was coming from with this track. Thank you also for the fave! I'm on my way to your tracklist!
Patrick ,compliments away , it was like a class for me to learn about such new genres ...agressive & interesting ...as usual your innovation is remarkable my friend ..many thnx for sharing & the rest in mail .take care.___B
You're too kind my friend! You have been a great influence on me recently, your struggles your artistry all of it! I guess you could say I'm trying new things, but in a way I'm getting back to my roots...if I can manage to do both simultaneously then I will feel like I accomplished something. Thank you so much for listening and leaving your views!
Hey great simple words to describe this track! I wanted to express the state of the current "real me" and this is what happened. It's just something I thought people should hear. I'd love to have you do a remix, and have contacted you regarding this. Thanks for listening and everything, it means a lot to me!
That's very kind of you to say! It's a good feeling when lyrics just flow from you without a lot of thought, it's easy to think too much when writing songs. I appreciate you listening and commenting!
Wow Spivkurl, this is a really cool track! Very raw and unique. The different elements you used came together just right. The vocals were great too. The mix sounds good on this end. It's a Fav. Nice work.
Hey, that means a lot to me! Thanks for taking the time to listen and leave a comment! I know it's not really what you usually listen to, so having you fave it is nice! Thanks much!
