on i see the missiles fly feat Phatkatz by joecramer
I knew this had to be a killer work after seeing the two involved in this final product! You've both done excellent performances here!

Definitely does have a classic rock vibe to the instruments and mix. There is nothing wrong with that at all! It reminds me a bit of The Doors, on songs where Manzarek's organ was backed up by a "real" bassist.

It's interesting to read from those in "western" and "developed" nations, who think of war, and think of somewhere far away. I, on the other hand, live in this heartland bread basket, and think of it as the front lines. Sure, it may be a different war, but it is just as serious in impact to the future. I think of it a bit like the war which was being fought against the Dakota tribe in our area at the same time as our "civil" war... totally different front lines. It almost feels like the war that is remembered was simply a distraction from the atrocities. I don't think it is a coincidence that history books about this era are being thrown away by our libraries.

There are a lot of days when I wish I had a rocket launcher, in order to drop crop duster planes from the sky, or to leave the parks and forestry vehicles in smoldering piles. Then I would be forced to disappear - or be picked up in the night, never to be seen again. Life during wartime, right?

Either way, your song was thought provoking and also musically enjoyable! Very cool work from you two! Fave! Thank you for sharing!

It is like they say it in all fallout games at the beginning.
War is always war.
It does not matter where the war is going on or what kind of war is going on.
In a way it is good that i haven't a rocket launcher, cause i am real sure i would use it much to much ........
So i better use my music to fight against the madness.

Good to know that you liked what we both done here.
I am really happy that you found this track and taked yourself some time to listen to and write this pleasant comment.

I agree with the first comment, I'd say speaking a bit clearer or maybe just adding a compressor to the vocals would've made them louder. Otherwise, you can obviously tell this song comes from deep within, and has real meaning. The composition and overall atmosphere of the track is kind of dark, but its a beautiful darkness. Good work my friend.

Thanks for your friendly comment and the info LRAD.
Good to know that you like the track.
It is in a way interesting that all Germans who listen to this song could understand the vocals and much of non germans found them a little to low.
So, when this track will be on the way to the next world wide mega seller hit, then a much better producer then me will have his hands on all that stuff :)

hello Joe,

A little bit linear for me, i was expected for variations or breaks. In fact, the render is pleasant and i'm quite sure if you add a lead (synth or other instrument) your track will take some volume.

joecramer replied 30th Jul 2017 - 8 years ago
Hello Bleep
This was one of the first tracks i made with a DAW and it was the first one i made only out of loops. I found looperman and the loop section and had the feeling to see how it works (for me).
You are right when you say it could need something like a lead instrument but there where nothing in the loop section and i just wanted to do a track only made from looperman loops. Right now i could maybe "build" a lead line from a loop but back then i didn't know really how it work on my DAW.
But everyone can feel free to play something to this little track and record it. I would wonder how it sounds.

I am happy that you could invest some of your time to listen to this track.

Hi Joe not seen you around for a while.
To the English ear especially one who doesn't understand German there are two effects;
One is the language sounds very harsh.
Two it sounds fantastic to music especially modern day electronic music.
You have the perfect voice for modern music.

Guess I have missed this one for a long time Joe...it could also work as a soundtrack...quite a dramatic vibe...I enjoyed it and I always enjoy your vocal work even though I do not understand the words (and I don`t need to to hear the picture you paint musically)...you have a great vocal character for this...perhaps I have said that before but it strikes me every time as special....well done...Ed

Hey Jamid
Nice to know that you like this track.
It was one of the first tracks that i made after i joined the looperman community. It is/was one of the first tracks that i made only with loops i found on looperman. I just wanted to see how far i could go with working only with and on loops to make something in my way.
Right now i have not much time for doing new stuff and so i believed it would be ok to set some older tracks on featured so that people find them a little bit easier .....
So thanks for your friendly words on this track my friend and

on Hey hey hey - a meeting with the devil by joecramer
This is a really cool piece, and in a style which is not well represented here on the Loop. Puts me in mind of blues rock ballads, maybe from the mid sixties or something. Seems not to be a popular sort of song now, but maybe songs such as this will change that. I always enjoyed folk a bit more than blues, but excellent ballads are common in both. This sounds like a new sort of classic to my ears, or at least it will be if you can work with Burt further on the composition. I enjoyed reading the lyrics, as I usually do, and again I thank you for the translation. I find the process of translation itself to be very interesting, considering that though processes seem a bit shifted depending on native languages. Very special song! Fave!

Hello Spiv
Hopefuly Burt will found some time to work a little on/with this track but right now it seems like he is working all night and day and has no time for anything else.
Thanks for all your friendly words about the music and lyrics. Always good to know that people also listen to the lyrics or read them cause they are mostly a big part of in work.
This translate thing is really a special thing and i bet that i do mostly bad translations, cause sometimes i really use not common words and that make it not to easy to translate it good :) But i am much better then a "normal" google translation would bring it to you .... like the row
- der Teufel stand langsam auf und fing an zu tanzen
ganz lässig - ganz für sich allein -
this -lässig- i translated with
- The devil got up slowly and began to dance
Quite cool - just for himself
But maybe a -Quite casually/unceremoniously- fits better ...
Your are extremely right, translation is a very interesting process

So thanks again for your comment and the listen and reading and also for the fav. I am pleased that this song is so well liked.

this kind of singing make me think to leonard cohen (rip, it was a genious): a low and deep voice.
On an instrumental plan, there's some blues in your rock ;) that's why i won't say it's dark, i'd rather say it's full of sadness :)

nice track

Ah, Leonard Cohen, yeah one of the best voices i ever listen to. Like i told you already, i am a child of the 80's and he did one of his best track in his 80's :) Did you ever listen to - Almost like the blues - ???? so good. so sad
With this blues and sadness thing you are fully right
But rock and dark is also not wrong :)

this does have a western feel with a pinch of dark. the deeper voice is perfect for that dark feel. when the backup choir enters at 4:07 it would sound good with mabe a slightly louder bass beat. just a flavor suggestion. Is great the way it is though. guitars are smooth. great for a guide line for me. may try anouther guitar piece. great song.

It's great to be able to be in other works, just like you did.
A mix of artists in a single song, you built the mix well using the elements, it's a very important skill, and you made sure of that song.
The musical genre would look better in Cinema, because of the story of the message you made in the vowel.
Thank you for using my loops and helping other creators, this is very important.
Thank you for providing the song to download.

Good to know that you like what i did.

When i think on Cinematic in a genre form, i always have this mmm less powerful sound in my head and this track sounds to powerful in my head i couldn't place it there :)

I really love the style and the feel of this track. Reading the lyrics, along with the repeating guitar phrases and lyrics, give the song a similar feeling to a beat poem. The music is accompanying the words, rather than the words accompanying the music. This really suited your vocal style as well. It feels like you've found your 'sound'. Great work.

Hello Centralsdev,
nice to see you back.

My voice is deep as it is :)
No pitching at all.

So a bit higher would mean 1 octave higher and then i think it would change the feeling much to much .....

Sure i could make the instruments just a few notes higher but that would destroy the sound of the guitars ....

So i think it is good like it is
