Hey Jamid,
looks like it isn't easy to disappoint you :)
Thanks a lot for your comment
Good to know that you enjoyed the vocals and the lyrics.
Later Burt will maybe do some more guitar stuff to this one and i think then it will be a bit more intresting to listen on the musicaly side :)
Hmm, really unusual track i think. Musically the track is a bit boring to me for 6 minutes (it's because i don't understand the vocal i think), it would have to been good a bit more variation. Despite that, i liked what i heard, fundamentally sounds really good and refined to me, just my style is a lot more action-packed.
However, i understand the fact that this monotony were the conception too because the vocal, so i do not wrote this as a critic. By the way, the lyrics are really cool!
Hello Traz75,
i am fully on your side when you say that this one is a little monoton. One big problem here is that Phatkatz has no real time and i had to use only some loops he made. And change guitar loops to a different key sounds mostly creapy so i didn't like to do that. At least the chorus should have some different keys but ......
Good to know that you think that the sound is good and that the vocals fit in a way to what i done.
Also thanks for the friendly words about the lyrics.
Thanks a lot Danke for your friendly words.
Always good to read something nice about my voice :)
I think that you are right that working with Burt is always something special but right now he hasn't no time at all. And so i just can work a bit with some of his loops he posted here ..... But he told me that he will maybe do some solo stuff to this one when he got some more time.
Nice dark sound with some nice Cramer-vocals are good inmgredients to make some great music. And this one is not an exception. Very well mixed and executed. Sehr schön!
First i have to say sorry for the late reply.
Always good to read some nice comments on a song like yours!
Good to know that you liked what i did and that you believe that i done it well.
I am happy that i don't disappointed you.
Thanks for the listen and the friendly words Mudhoen.
Thanks a lot Steve.
Nice to see that you give this one a try after one year :)
Good to known that you like it and also that you get the irony of this little one.
Hey Jamid,
thanks for your listen and your warm words.
Nice to know that you enjoy the song.
BTW this version is just a little older then the one i did with Phatkatz and is only made by myself.
Nice job with the vocals, Joe. I also like the dark, brooding feel of this track and will check out the lyrics. Stay tuned for an invite to the Halloween music and art competition! Regards - Dan
This is an extremely cool version of this song! Atmospheric and creative, the music really gives an excellent bed for your potent vocals. I enjoyed reading the lyrics as well, and I feel like I can identify. This reminds me of how I was feeling last night at about 2 AM... I think it was aerial pesticides to "combat" mosquitos and ziki virus...They're using neurotoxins, so the room was spinning, and my pupils were tiny... that was fear to me. Thank you for sharing this awesome song! Fave!
I hope you have won the fight against them!
What a nice kind of interpretation of the lyrics. I listen to the song with your mosquito story in mind, it works perfect and sets the track in a kind of funny light. I could really enjoy that.
But in fact i wrote it for or lets say against a 78 years old women with a frozen heart and a 110% dark and evil aura. She was filled up with all the hate of the world. A real misanthrope. The sister of the devil himself. And she hated us without any reason and fought against us with no mercy at all. We lived almost 2 years in the same house. And we had no chance to win that fight really without the help of Satan. But we didn't liked that butthole much. So we leaved without shooting her down and we never went back. And i have to say that this moment gave me one of the best feelings i ever had. Leaving hell.
I really enjoyed your comment and i am happy that you like the music and the vocals.
Thanks a lot for your friendly words
If you want to know wherefrom i am singing then you can look in the lyrics, 'cause i place there mostly also a (bad) translation in english .....
Very cool Joe. I love the minimalistic approach. Nice and dark, perfect for halloween 3:D> Some of the darkest music is very minimal, just enough to set the atmosphere. We'll do more shortly, seems like since July I haven't had any free time for music, covering my new bosses shifts, the slacker! Finally got a full sized acoustic guitar itching to be recorded and those 2 Altoid tin guitars needing recording, one's electric. :p Yaayy a new song to add to my player.
Nice to know that you like it Burt.
You know that i love minimalistic and dark stuff.
Maybe it's a good time to do a kind of a "zombiefied" Halloween track ...... thats reminds me that i should do the next part of the Hamburg Horror Files .... something like Burt and the child get some help and the flee to a little habour, sure with some fights and stuff and then they sail home to USA and hope that everything will change to good but they are wrong and the states are also infected ....
But we should also do some more stuff for the album :)
I wait for some riffs and stuff to work on.
I do Hiphop, but if it's any other genre that I can relate to, that would be rock,Since That was my first love..Love what you have here...was waiting for that guitar solo man..Lol..great job on the track.
and you even got a little quiet string squeak in the intro guitar strings...cool...Joe...you have the perfect vocal character for this kind of music...synth..but not quite...as you say it does indeed sound like it was played by a band...fits the 80s but hell it fits most anywhere else too...reminds me a bit of the music my wife used to crank up the car radio too...great job...good listening over my side of the water...Ed
What a friendly comment Ed.
Always nice to read something friendly about my voice.
Nice to read that you like in a way what i have done.
:) your wife must have a good taste for music
Heck of a mix of bands in this one Joe.
I can even hear Jethro Tull and King Crimson!
Very late seventies early eighties dominate though and your quality voice never lets down an Englishman. Your voice is pure German synthrock.
Very well played and produced.
What a nice comment my dear Mr Silverman.
Good to know that i done it well in your eyes.
And you are right, i tried to sound as much as (for me)possible like a 80's synthrock(pop) singer ....
Didn't had Jethro Tull in mind at making but after you named him i got what you mean.
Thanks a lot for your friendly words
Sounds crispy.. Ohh damn, I was not expecting that... Fuckin' A... I'm hearing 80's industrial/electro.. Very Rammsteinesque, I love it.. It's fantastic Joe well done :)
It is my pleasure if I could surprise you. :)
This Version is very Close to the original one and older then Rammstein (around 1985). The original was a Little more minimalistic and a Little more in a "Deutschrock" style (just vocals, 1 guitar, 1 Keyboard and drums) . But we never did a good recording of it back in that days :)
Good to know that you like it.
I'm Not A Huge Fan Of Rock, But This Track Just Might Change That. It's A Cool Song I Like The Flow, But I Couldn't Really Hear What You Were Saying. The Beat Is Awesome Though. It Might Help If You Add Some More Instruments To Fill Up The Production. Overall You Did A Good Job Though. If You Don't Mind Checking Out My Track And Leaving Some Feedback I'd Appreciate That.
Thanks a lot for your friendly words Billion.
Nice to hear that this Little one maybee Change your look on rock Music a Little.
I was already thinking on some more Instruments and also on working on the vocals a Little more. I just forgot to write in the description that this is "just" a first Version.
Very interesting take on a classic blues vibe here! I can't think of any other blues songs which I have heard which were written/sung in German, but I think it works just right, especially in this case! You also are tuning in your vocal style! Those cigar boxes are really sounding good, and it's been cool to see Burton making and using them in music. Brings a new spice to Looperman. Very fun song to hear, and I enjoyed reading the lyrics. Thank you for understanding those of us around the world who are simple minded, and have yet to learn any other languages fluently. Great song!
Hello Spiv,
nice to see that you found some time to listen to a non featured (or better a not featured anymore) song :)
It is always a good thing to work a little with Burton and you are right, his CBG's are some fine stuff.
When i wrote the lyrics for this song it wasn't a nice or a funny time but like mostly in life, bad things bring you to a point where you have to do someting to change the situation. And that situation let me leave the place where we lifed and buy a own house. And so we could let all the bad things behind us ...... Now i can enjoy the words but then i was full of hate and hated that so much .....
Now it is just a blues number :)
Good to know that you could enjoy our work
Thanks for your friendly comment and all the time you spend on listen to my music!
First off great vocals, you on vocals?
Deep house or even chillout more so, would be good genre's for this one, have to agree with your comments in description this does have a very relaxing feel about, that's what made me think of chillout genre, one enjoyable listen, thank you fav'd, mosaic.
It has a really nice flow Joe...perhaps a little dark, but to me its more of a calm mood...I like the minimalist approach, and you have the perfect voice for this...I like the music but I think your voice is the star...really well done...I like it...Ed
That is a really nice comment Ed
Always good to read some positive stuff about my vocal work, cause deep inside i am more a singer than a musician.
Good to hear that you could enjoy the song.
Hey Joe, I absolutely love this track! Great Job! I have to agree with Silverman on making the Kraftwerk connection. You hit the nail on the head with the description of the track. It is relaxing and tinged with a Little darkness; love your "German Spoken Word" throughout the song along with the atmospheric elements that really gives the track a sense calm and mystery. I too sing in a similar fashion sometimes depending on the nature of the song, hence "Strange Days" & "BlueTooth Killer On The Lose".
Once again, outstanding job Joe I really enjoyed this track
thanks for your friendly words. I really enjoyed your comment and i am happy that you like what i have done.
I listen to your songs and i can say that i also enjoyed the listen to them. Special the Strange Days one is great stuff.
You have fantastic voice quality Joe.
I know I've said it before but you have.
There's definitely a touch of Kraftwerk about some of your electronic stuff. Very dark this but very uplifting at the same time somehow.
Very creative.
Always nice to read that you like my voice.
Also nice to know that the track works in a way.
Light and shadow, love and crime, dark and uplifting :)
I really enjoy it when someone like you say that i am very creative, cause that's where i always going for.
My first impression on this was that I really liked the background sounds of the intro...but ofcourse it doesn't end there. The calm vocals set the mood so nicely and they provide a nice plarform for buildup along the way and after a certain time listening it becomes really hypnotic! In my opinion you created another remarkable work showcasing your undeniable creativity ! I'm ready to push that little button !:)
What a gentle comment!
Always nice to read something from you, cause it is always something nice and friendly :)
One of the problems with "my" music is that people should listen often to the same song cause it gets better and better (in my opinion) each time.
