Description : Part two of three. EDIT - 04/05/2018: I went back and adjusted a few things. I cut some of the hi-mids in the guitars. Boosted the overall low end bass frequencies, and brought the drums forward a little.

Description : 170 BPM drum 'n' cell epic. That's drum 'n' bass with lots of my layered, lead cello playing. It's both banging and chilled out, with intricate basslines and soaring, melodic cello parts. Instruments: electric cello, piano, three synth basses, two synth pads. Drums are loads of drum loops supported by a few programmed acoustic drum kits. It's fast and powerful stuff but there are also two deep grooving half tempo sections. No guitar so anything that sounds like it might be is, unsurprisingly, cello. This was fairly hard to make and required a lot of hard work. It's still far from perfect, especially the rather abrupt, unimaginative ending (I couldn't think of anything better). Have a good listen and then consider leaving me some fascinating feedback. Not much drum 'n' cell about so I like to think this is worth checking out...

Description : Psychedelic Eastern cellhop progressing into a heavy and not at all hip hop ending. Lots of cool basslines and killer beats, all at 80 BPM. Cello is the main instrument and it also covers all the bass parts (no other bass instruments used). I didn't have to add any octave lowering effects to those cello basslines. A few synths, including a dark, trippy pad that gets very psychedelic and swirling when delay and distortion are added. Also a lyre to occasionally add an Eastern drone sound and an 8bit lead sine synth in one section. Drums are mixture of programmed acoustic kits and drum loops. You can really bounce to this shit while firing your guns in the air. So, do that and then come back and let me know if you enjoyed it. Criticism, praise, suggestions etc all welcome. Now get ready to bounce...

Description : Update! Recorded new vocals, re-mixed, added some things, and decided to have some fun with vocal effects. New sound for me, but definitely liking it. Description : 'The quasars are beautiful this aeon, I think I'll just sit back and enjoy the ebb and flow of the quasar light dance.' I have always had a fascination with reversing my own tunes and slowing them down, just to see (or hear) if they still sound great. So I did just that with my latest song 'Black Hole'. I removed all drums, percussion, snares, whatever. I also move some of my synth samples around. Enjoy the moody and ambiance of Quasar.

Description : Deep grooving, slightly psychedelic cello grunge. There's no guitar but there is loads of electric cello, all played by me. The only other instruments are a violin VST, 5 seconds of Rhodes, a fat organ, a few programmed acoustic drum kits and no drum loops. No bass instruments but I do sometimes use an octave effect on cello parts to give a fatter low end. Starts off with some cool, smooth basslines and a funky little beat and then gets a lot more badass. End section is a real dirty rockin' surprise but it's only one distorted cello part plus heavy drums (very minimal). Have a good listen and then consider leaving me your fascinating feedback. Get ready to rock!

Description : Was trying out my new Fender electric guitar that was so generously given to me as a Christmas present from my oldest brother, and instantly fell in love with the tone! So much so that it inspired an entire night's worth of music. Instruments at work: Drums, Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar (x3), Acoustic Guitar, Pad, Tambourine. Description : UPDATED 12-5-16. An acoustic intro, leading into melodic piano leads with strings and woodwinds. Many layers of programmed midi drums and percussion loops. Some heavier riffage with an odd time signature, leading into something completely different. First track I've done in standard-ish tuning in years. Been distracted by various things and haven't been working on this steady. Thoughts, complaints, critiques, ideas and interesting short stories are always welcome. You can also say you liked it. That's cool, too,.... so long as you ain't bullshittin.The drums tunes tracks and mixes listed here are copyright and may not be used in your projects.
