Description : This started out as an exercise in learning how to do a rolling bass line. Seems simple enough but getting the velocities set right and finding the right amount of swing took me a while to work out.Then just decided to put it to good use - added some pads and a variety of vocal loops that are included with Logic Pro.
What I really wanted to do was make a track that was as well-crafted as the latest stuff from Bob Moses. But, that’s still out of reach for me, I’m afraid.

Description : The oldest track on Legacy. It has a unique blend of catchy breaks, melodic pads, pulsing acid synths and some deep bass stabs reminiscent of “Das Boot”… And yes, those are my vocals. This track owes its roots to the breakbeats and crisp synths/samples of The Prodigy (RIP Keith) and BT.

Description : Drums and percs and piano trills drawn from several Akai MPC packs (within the neo sunset expansion) with my bass, guitar and reverse guitar lines and keys, added effects and some manipulated samples.Not sure about the right genre but it's kinda laid back. I think it is still in need of some more structure to add interest etc. but that still seems a little beyond my skill set atm.

Description : UK garage type track made in Ableton live. The piano piece was loop from somewhere and the track was built around it. The drums are from Abletons own garage drum kit. The bass is from Spire vst with additional strings from Nexus vst.

Description : Clavinet loop by Joe Funktastic.Music production, bass, guitars, vocals by Micky. This track is dedicated to the great Joe Funktastic. It's based on one of his genius loops... clavinet in this case. He was something of a mentor here...always open, always a good critique or a super motivating compliment.
