Life Is For The Living;Global Ska Network - SLAPJOHNSON

Description : A Global Ska Network song with a truly global collaboration quality. This track features Planet on jazz bass and Bilbozo on guitar and hammond organ. The song has a total of 24 individual tracks (nine piece horn section, mutiple rhythm and lead guitar tracks using various effects, percussion, cymbals, 4 vocals ect). I just love the way the track knits together with Dave & Bill's parts just slotting straight in. The track is 6mins in length, which is long for me, I normally have things finished at around the 3-4 minute mark, but this track just came out like that, so I hope you dig the arrangement. I have to thank Dave & Bill for their input into this song, and for wanting to get involved in the GSN project. Please feel free to comment on any aspect of the track. This is the first mix of the song, so if you feel a remix is in order, please feel free to say what needs to be changed, and I will endeavour reach perfection.
Drums by Sonic foundry, Slap on vocals, horns, guitars, Dave (Planet) Bass, Bill (Bilbozo) lead guitar and hammond. Recorded in ableton live using line 6 tone port ux2....

Cheers Slap...

Description : I made this tune with like an old school gaming chip tune. Dubstep.

Description : EASE. Propella Head.

Dark atmosphere meets melodic lift in this upbeat roller from EASE. Deep bass and a driving groove keep the momentum moving, while the melody brings an emotional pull. Propella Head draws you into the shadows and keeps your feet moving.

Description : Heavy, but you can still dance to it. The kind of industrial from the Chicago Wax Trax era, bands like TKK. At least that's what I was aiming for.

Description : Underground hip-hop, jazz rap, boom bap, swung breakbeat, turntablism, sample-based funk.

Description : We used to ride all night thru downtown Chicago blasting Return to foever in Marks 72 Vega with 12" Ventura BIC speakers in the back that were chrystal clear. i was still too young to drive. Those were some of the greatest times I ever had I'll never forget that band the bandmates or those times. Mark out did himself on this Re-mix/Master. He also updated the Drums, makes the track feel brand new, even tho it's 4 years old.

PEACE...

Description : Sorry guys, you can't listen to what I've planned for this track. The gods have spoken and their words are scripture.

Instead, here is the instrumental to the work. I'll put the uncensored version somewhere else.

Description : I think lyrics are very explanatory - has anyone ever not felt confused about unexplained actions? More in the lyrics section.
