I have tried to reach a spiritual level with my playing on this track (this is the highest I have played on the alto, listen for the key change and you will hear). I would be lying if I said I had spent along time working on this track, truth be known, I played through the song twice. But! In saying that, it has taken twenty five years of playing,study and life experience to put in what I played on this. I have left the track alone, apart from snipping the intro off and replacing it with a sax lead in. I love the Pink Floyd feel Barry has captured in this offering, and have to say to all reading this, how honoured I am to know Barry and call him my friend.He is to me ,a true human being....

Using 3 part harmonies during the verse and 5 part harmonies during the chorus; 2 and 3 part acoustic guitar harmonies during the "solo".

Description : This hymn, (also known as the Navy Hymn), was my wife’s grandmother’s favourite hymn. Wasn’t familiar with it. The Wikipedia article had an arrangement which I used for this track. Harmony is not my work, but the orchestration is. Made the track more as an exercise in exploring harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration. I realize this is not anything close to the norm of tracks here on Looperman, but it’s always good to stir things up a bit, right?
