Listen To Sankofa Ethnic Song By Kayos2 At Looperman.com

Description : Oli carries a family thread that reaches back to Africa and has always been drawn to the bright, kinetic pulse of Sungura. Out of that love grew the song Sankofa. The title comes from a Twi word from Ghana that calls us to retrieve wisdom from the past and use it to shape a wiser, kinder future. The track celebrates that spirit, weaving together the camaraderie and cultural richness shared across the African continent. O&K had lot's of fun producing that song :-)

Kay I love this it reminds me of Paul Simon. The lyrics are really cool. The song I really love I would have bought it.
African songs I love and I love this. This is really lively its full of energy and would be a brilliant summer song.
Brilliant Kay I love it and your African voice fit it so well.

Thank you Darren - Paul Simon is a lovely comparison - your loyalty means a lot to us. I have wanted to create something with a bit of a tribal feel yet modern day slant in the African vibe, for some time - I got the title v quickly then lyrics flowed. Oli soon got the musical side together then next thing I know is we are both there doing vocals. Terrific fun, definitely.

I dont know much about Sungura, but we know ALOT about music, and we can for sure recognize greatness when we hear it. This song, like all of Your songs, made us feel some type of way, and we love that about your music. Thank you for sharing your music with us - we take inspiration from so many things, and you are at the top of that list.

Wow. Im at a bit of loss for words. In a time where so many people try and create music that has little to no meaning and with little or no story to tell, you consistently make sure your music is absolutely dripping with both. Realizing that kinda had me flustered there for a second. This is a wonderful song full of wisdom, kindness, AND spirit, I hope it gets heard by as many people as possible, especially the people and cultures that inspired it. I can't say enough good things, Kay. You deserve so much more than this humble guy could ever say. And please send Oli my regards, it has been awhile.

Hello Aaron, many thanks for your kind words. We are both very touched :-) It was fun to produce this kind of African beat filled with a lot of positive vibes. We want to stay upbeat. ;) Kay got the perfect title and it flowed from there. Cheers Oli

Description : Inspired by traditional turkic and mongolic old music. The choice of instruments, such as oud and Daf, are an inspiration from the turkish culture and some rythm styles are inspired by mongolian music. I Hope you enjoy it and have use for it.

!!"If you want to use this melody please tag my Instagram account or my name "Ashina_Beats" and let me hear or see what you make with it :)"!!

Description : This track is an experimental version of the popular Hindu mantra Om Namah Shivaye, wonderfully sung by Ankit Sharda. The female background vocalist doesn't want her name mentioned in the credits.

The song was created on Caustic Beta Version 3.8, and mastered on Mastering Beta Version 5; both Android apps from Single Cell Software. The new Sawsynth synthesizer in Caustic was used in the background & synth bass (paired with another bass).

Description : This is a Latin -Spanish flavored tune. In fact, I don't see a catagory for it so I put it under 'Ethnic'.

I eat now and then at a 'Mighty Taco' resturant near me and decided to call this one "El Nino". :-)

This tune is kinda off beat for me, but I am sure someone on here will like it. Made from loop a CD I have full of Nylon guitar loops only, I purchased early last year, and put together with other loops and synth for weird effects.
Ha.....maybe I am getting weird since my last tune was heavy metal!
Hope you like it.

Description : Not sure about the sideboards on the Ethnic genre. Trying out new sounds here. I'm using sitar and marimba with Indian and Indonesian drums. Does the listener need a solo or spoken word after the melody or does the open part work by itself?
I think it's a good piece. Almost.
