Description : Oli carries a family thread that reaches back to Africa and has always been drawn to the bright, kinetic pulse of Sungura. Out of that love grew the song Sankofa. The title comes from a Twi word from Ghana that calls us to retrieve wisdom from the past and use it to shape a wiser, kinder future. The track celebrates that spirit, weaving together the camaraderie and cultural richness shared across the African continent. O&K had lot's of fun producing that song :-)

It is always a good thing to start one's day out with a smile, and you definitely put one on my face. Crisp production, flawless vocals, impeccable instrumentation, and absolute winner. This is brilliant! From the composition to the vocals and harmonies, to the beat and the beautiful clean guitar lines. Truly love this. Sounds like what I remember King Sunny Ade sounding like when I discovered African music for the first time. .. Could be wrong on that though, I'll have to go back and listen.
