i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses

Description : I intentionally made this song minimalistic. The drums I spliced together from some drum loops I had, there's one other loop in the mix, the rest of the instruments are played by me (bass and synths). I used the excellent (and free) Cakewalk z3ta+ vst and the BBC Symphony vst. My intention was to create a very simple and dream like ambient track. Feel free to download or comment. Here's the thing with me and guitars. I have a guitar, I can knock out some decent riffs and ideas, but my actual playing ability is.....not good. So, I come up with the ideas on a live guitar, but then replicate everything with VST's in my tracks. that way they actually sound like it does in my head...not in my amp. I know it's a little disappointing to hear that they aren't live in my tracks, but at least they originated on one. That's gotta count for something, right?
Anyhow, I'm glad you liked this one, and thank you for such kind words.

I'm gad you liked it. Funny thing is, originally, it was a "bit" longer. By, like, 8 minutes. This was going to be the intro to a much larger piece. But once I got to rollin' on it, it didn't quite fit the track anymore, so I decided to just make it it's own piece.

I do enjoy the darker side of art and music. There's a particular beauty in the details that most people don't see because they turn away too fast. I love that shit. The details. The textures, the layers, the lines, cracks and crevices that make the bigger picture. That's where the true beauty is, man.
The fact that you could feel it in this one let's me know I'm doing something right.
