checked this after listening to the Zootman remix. Really interesting and beautiful track. And yes, so much with so little; and a lot of hidden craftsmanship.

Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while
I think I see my FrenZ coming, riding many a mile ...

This is an interesting track, sounds to me like a perfect backing for a movie. When I saw your description I thought I would listen in as I am a fan of the Les Paul sound :D Not much of the Les Paul sound in here, but I really like what you did with the effects, very cool!!

Micky replied 11th Mar 2025 - 1 year ago

Thank you, TeeGee. Yes, you're right, I didn't even have to mention that it was a Les Paul... it could have been any other guitar. The effects are actually just a reverb and a tape echo.

This is really beautiful

Hello Micky, you did create a perfect Drone with this :-) How long did it need to put all the effects together? If you want to go crazy with it, open the stereo field a bit more. I am really interested to use this piece of art for as an Intro of a future song if allowed :-) All the best, Oli

Micky replied 26th Dec 2024 - 1 year ago

Hi Oli, given the circumstances of its creation, I can't really tell you how long it took me, if you understand...ahem. I didn't do this thing in my usual studio environment, and so I ended up with everything on a single track. That means you can download it and expand the stereo field yourself...I wouldn't have any more options from here either. Feel free to do whatever you want with it.
Cheers,
Micky

BaoBou 24th Dec 2024 18:41 - 1 year ago

That's awesome. It would be a great intro to a stoner song :)

Micky replied 2nd Jan 2025 - 1 year ago

Hello BaoBou, I'm very happy that you like the track. But please tell me, what is a stoner song?
Cheers,
Micky

This sounds like something I'd try and do, but do not nearly so well! Love it Micky, took me nicely away from myself. Merry Christmas.

Micky replied 2nd Jan 2025 - 1 year ago

Hi Chris, great to hear from you and I'm especially happy that the track did something for you. I wish I could have recorded it under better (technical) conditions... but the mental circumstances couldn't have been better.
Best wishes,
Micky

This is a very special piece of music - it really captures the elements of space, alternative reality, travel. Love this one, Micky. All the best of the season to you Kay

Micky replied 2nd Jan 2025 - 1 year ago

Thanks for the compliment, Kay. I think inside and outside are one. I was lucky to be able to capture it on the day the track was made.
Cheers,
Micky

Description : A stranger's knife is expected. It wounds the body and spares the heart.

But when the blade comes from a brother's hand, or a son's, or a wife's gentle fingers, it carves something no surgeon can repair. They knew where I was soft. They had always known.

I have been betrayed by enemies and I have been betrayed by kin. Only one taught me that trust is a door, and family holds the only keys.

Blood binds us but It never promised to bind us kindly.
