Description : For the last months, I locked myself into isolation, to create my 1st album. Mixing is still hard and I'm a beginner. I try to catch a sound. I'm not there.

Thank you toeslap, rhytm is really slow, everytime I listened to it I thank, how high must I been to play that slow. But its more like a mediation exercise and I'm happy that got your balanced with it. Love from a banana
Lu, this is a fantastic track. All those little ear candies you've added are sounding great and for a beginner your mix isn't too far off to my ears! Would love to read the lyrics to this :) also your vocals have such a raw emotion to them that I'm always chasing with my own stuff, very well done! Hope to hear more!
best,

thank you very much, im also a big fan of you :) sometimes i think about putting lyrics on here. But in my mind im not singer, i try to abstract my vocals make them washed up. my goal is to be sax horn, not a human. so, there are no words, just a feeling. everybody can intepret what they want. love from banana

"There's nothing else then forest and birds."
Living in the Pacific Northwest, I know exactly how that feels, and how inspirational it truly is. I don't know if you ever listened to my track Moss Mother pt.1, but that's what it's all about. So, I can totally relate to your situation, and I'm glad you found that!
"I'm not feeling alone anymore."
That pleases me to no end, brother. When I found this place, I felt like the "Bee girl" at the end of the Blind Melon's "No Rain" video. Everyone was so accepting and supportive. Most of what I know I learned here, from some of the old timers back in the day. I think I can safely speak for a lot of people here when I say that you're a valued member of this little community, and we're glad that you're here.
So, here's to many more, brother.
Take care.
You have done an excellent work on this track. I mostly listen to its rock attitude and it brought to my mind well established artists of this genre. I want to be clear, you deliver your own sound and expression and all I mean is you definitely have pro material here.
Best regards, Anthony
Hey Anthony, thank you much for your kind word, it means a lot. Im always impressed with your sonic work specially your synth work. Im curios about that Vangelis thing, hes the master. i look at your profil pic, you coming very close to him. so in my own little looperman world you are Vangelis, I was happy to listend to your Ode to him. love from a banana
Love the vibes, nice guitar track and I appreciate the work you did on the tones and delay effects. Hope you have more tracks to share from that album of yours that you mentioned.
I freaking love your vibe, I'm currently deep into your upload (the output is a lot, great work ethic) I love your fingers style stuff on guitar. You got a great taste in tone as well. Thank you for listing to this. In December I will released my Album. I will definitely post on here. There's some solos missing in my projects, I suck at lead guitar, if you feeling something i would like to collab.
Hey Lu. Welcome back, man. I'm glad to see you've been busy working on more music. I've always liked your work.
This is a good one. I really like the way you've used the synths throughout the whole thing, but their so cleverly placed that you almost don't notice them. But if they weren't there, you would definitely miss them. They're like a sonic ribbon that weaves in and out, tying everything together.
As far as the mix goes, it sounds good to me. Everything is clear, all the levels seem to be balanced, you have good panning and stereo separation, every instrument sits exactly where it should, and your vocals come through clearly. For a beginner, man, it sounds great! I think you're closer to "there" than you give yourself credit for.
When you release your album, please let me know immediately, and point me in the right direction as to where to find it. I'll be first in line to get it.
Take care, mister.
Aaron
Thank you Aaron, you took your time and analyzed this mix. I'm really at this point where I get crazy, self doubts. I got that synth energy from nature, I moved to a little farm in the country side. There's nothing else then forest and birds. I jamed the whole summer with them. That's is my new creativ limit for stnth work. To be like in bird high up the trees. I will definitely post a link here for this album, without this community I wouldn't be the musician I am. I'm not feeling alone anymore.
Lu its amazing to here you again, i nearly gave up and only returned myself a month ago, hope your good tho, this is great, so you, instantly recognisable, the guitar work is fantastic, we both have mixed up souls at times and you grabbed a piece of our hearts with your unique delivery style and talent, a nice surprise to see your avatar up my first press today was instant, love to a Banana
Those self doubts haunting all the time. It's great that you always come back to music and we can listen to your soul. There's something special here in looperman, I can watch all them music friends grow in their style and so many blessed souls. Its part of your warmth that you give to this community. St. Peppers lonely heart club.
I really rip of Andy Summers stuff, his guitar parts are always over the rainbow with fx but solid guitar tone and picking. Coupland decided to be a human precious metronom and loves his hi hat and cymbal stuff. Sting is not very friendly but that raspy whiskey tone is excellent.
Hey man how you doing? Mighty fine I'd say if this is anything to go by. Loving your vibe on this. Guitars and bass sound great, vocals fantastic, unique as usual. Everything sounds wicked to me, nice sound and not overproduced. Look forward to hearing more. Cheers Chris
Thank you zootman, I'm feeling good. I changed a lot of my production style and focused just on eq and compression. It was one of your comments in the past. I got overboard with my meters. I learned a lot from you just listinging to your production. All that cinematic 3d synth stuff I copied. Hope you don't mind. I'm just your Stan.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : This song was not supposed to be the fourth track of "Diverse waves", but it finally is. Anyway it's a rock oriented track with some interesting sounds. I hope you like it. Worked in zenbeats DAW, by Roland.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
Description : when i was a kid you could go down and buy acid drops at the dairy - sour boiled sweets....vox, guitars and keys by me. Bass a LM loop by megapaul.
Great track, and I love your voice.
This is a radio hit for me.
