Hey, dat kan altijd. Ik heb dat zeker; sommige dagen haal ik de hoge G en sommige dagen kom ik niet eens in de buurt. Ik speel af en toe "Angels" van Robbie Williams, ook live, en sommige dagen doe it het maar liever niet omdat ik weet dat "...and through it ALL" niet gaat lukken :)

Wat helpt is om je stem te beschermen zoals je een dure gitaar of een hobo zou beschermen. Even inzingen. Doe een toonladder: do re mi fa so la ti do. Do ti la so fa mi re do. Nu 1 hoger. Nog 1. Neem een lepel honing of een boterbabbelaar op een dag dat het niet zo goed voelt. Oefenen. Neem 1 song die je goed kent die je elke dag zingt, zodat je meteen weet hoe je stem voelt. Stop op tijd.

Ook: er is altijd een bepaalde curve in je vooruitgang. Eerst denk je oh ik kan er niks van. Dan leer je wat en denk je oh, ik kan dit. Dan leer je weer wat en je denkt oh, ik ben echt slecht. Dat klopt allemaal, en DAN begint de echte groei.

Misschien ben je daar: je hebt ontdekt dat je het kan, maar ook dat je nog kan groeien. Dat is prima; zo lang je maar zorgt dat je het voor je plezier doet. Zingen is zo leuk!!

hey rita , i love your journey. those jazz tunes fits you very well and that smokey tone of your voice is pure soul. last years you send me some demos and i was impressed how well you get into this genre. my heart lights up to know that you keep exploring into this realm. your vibrato is on point and those lyrics hitting, love from a banana.

Really, Rita. I would never have expected that from you. It's so completely different from anything we've heard from you before. But it just goes to show that sometimes you can get incredible results when you step out of your comfort zone. That's definitely the case here. The track is so harmonious with your voice, as if it was written for you. Very good - keep it up!
