Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!

This. This right here. This is exactly what your voice was made for.
I was expecting another of your pop style songs. But once I hit play, and heard what was awaiting, I was instantly drawn in.
I would love to breakdown the parts that really stand out to me, but that's something that would have to be done in real-time. There's no way I could do it in one comment. Just know that there are so many little subtle nuances that make this such a beautiful piece. The stylistic choices you made on certain vowels and consonants , the way you chose to draw them out, or make them harder or softer. Those examples are just barely scratching the surface.
The portamento throughout is just dripping in this. In that regard, it's very Billie Holiday. Which I absolutely love.
I don't believe this a contrast to the darker music here. Not in the sense that it's light and uplifting. While it's not aggressive, foreboding, or evil per se, in my opinion, it does have lamenting with edges of sadness. To me, it's more of a cloudy, stormy day, sitting-at-the-window-watching-it-rain kind of dark.
I know that as an a cappella it wouldn't make sense to go much longer than this, but if it were, I would not complain one bit.
