Hi Mark
This track is another one of your proffesional tracks and I love it.
Just beautifull !! The whole track is perfect.
In my country we say: Petje af voor jou
Rita. Echt heel erg bedankt! Ik ben dankbaar dat je me laat weten dat je van dit nummer hebt genoten. Bedankt voor het stoppen en luisteren. Wees veilig. Rita.
ooooh Mark, love the vocals in this super! smooth jazzy groove it was AMAZING! before but the vocals are an absolute! sweetttt! touch to this already *DIAMOND* track. Man, you got it going ON! with this beaut right here still floored, I'll get up soon when the track is done I gotta go do my morning run! :) This is Seriously TOP NOTCH. Continue the GREATNESS! brother Mark :)
Angelus, thanks for giving this one yet another listen. I sensed something was missing and just the brief vocal touch added another layer of that je ne sais quoi I wanted. It’s also a high honor for this listen to get your day kicked off just right. Lastly, I see you’re not letting up with “Be Like Water” which is loveliness on many levels. Be continually blessed and safe my friend.
nice update Mark, loved this first time the updates have polished an already good piece, really smooth. you are the king of jazz and brass as ive told you many times and is exactly why you got a line and shout out on my latest track that refrences the point ive just made, top job fella
Paul thx for revisiting this track and sharing your impressions here. You are a true inspiration on many levels. Your tenacious vibe is fuel to the musical fire! Keep doing what you do. Be safe and P.S. I’m going to hit Jynxz up on our joynt that I’ve reformulated for a stronger impact. Still 104 BPM tho. I’ll keep you posted on this. Peace.
I like that horn mixed with the electric piano. Get synth work at 1:40. Nice changes, predictable timing, unpredictable content. Good guitar work. Nice guitar/vox blend as well. Always liked when Pink Floyd did that.
Great piece of music, Mark! So much warmth and groove makes me want to move behind my computer. At least my head is dancing :-). Instafavoured and my hat's off.

mudhoen, my good buddy! There's absolutely no law against moving and grooving when the occasion arises. Your stop, fave, and gracious feedback is what this is all about. Be safe.
Hey Mark, as usual a kickass track that sounds unmistakably like you but a pleasant variation from the theme simultaneously. I'm not sure why but I get a massive 80's vibe from this one. Also, another instrumentation question. Did you do the flute solo live or is it a VST? If so which one? I've got a serious weakness for jazz flute lol
What's up Cam? I'm glad you stopped by. That 80s drip was deliberate. And you know how influential that period was. Just think, a good majority of the music sampled today came from that musical era. The flute was live from Vanilla Groove Studios. In a previous post, you asked about a brass VST. The muted trumpet here is a VST from Kontakt's "Studio Brass". Your comments and continued support is always appreciated. Peace.
Sick bass line on this! I like how the drums pick it up a bit half way onto it, really nice drum sound. And then the unison solos are just crushing it. Nice one!
doofus, it’s good hearing from you. Gratitude for the feedback you’ve shared on the sections that hit just right. I’m glad this listen was a worthwhile listen for you. Peace.
Angelus, so you like the podcast idea? Yep you can thank me for the idea when you hit 1M followers in round about 8 months. Ok? I thought so lol:). Now for this recent listen, the kind words are always humbly received. Now go and have a awesome and peaceful weekend my friend.
writing as i listen to this, i couldnt help writing before i finish listening. That bassline in the beginning is so awesome man, as well as the rhodes. so good, probably your best! keep it up. bopping my head to this. ooh the guitar just came in, im about halfway, so good!
BONEZONMARZ, your stop, listen, and fave is magnanimous! After getting back organized, the feeling for this one was right out the gate. I’m glad your listen was a pleasurable one. Take it light my friend.
Nice, very early nineties sound, percussion, and bass-wise. Very cool mate. cool effect on the muted trumpet. Like a chatterbox. Well arranged and tasteful. You "done" well mate!
Cru
Cru, now that’s a accurate description of my dilemma. So I’ll be transparent here. See the 90s are indelibly etched into my music brain! I’ve tried to escape that period but the struggle is real! Thanks for sharing how this track translated.
Peace.
What a funky jazz groove you've got going on here, a lithe and lively, sweet and very refined call and response composition that dances along, about, around, up and down, through, in, over and out without missing a step or dropping a beat - lovely : )
Pseudoble, thanks for stopping by. I’m happy that this was a worthwhile listen. I’ve always been fascinated by call and response successions with different phrasing between instruments. The fave and feedback is greatly appreciated.
Be Safe.
You had me from the first beat.
Like BofD said the way you have
the instruments literally talking to
each other in perfect harmony is superb.
Excellent composition, arrangement and performance.
Rob, thank you big time for stopping by, listening and the fave. With my computer running velvety smooth I can better concentrate and my creativity is no longer being molested with glitching! TTYL.
I was wondering where you went. I like all the mimicry. Nice sax solo. Nice use of vox.
Interesting you talk about workflow, systematic approaches a huge to productivity. That's how you make an album in a week. I'm a fan of templates, presets, and for larger projects a consistent theme, as well as "rules" for max voices, style/genre choices, etc. It seems restricting but really the opposite occurs.
Anyway, good track, nice flute at the end. Faved of course.
Yo bringer! Greetings. Thanks for the stop and fave. By decluttering, I've got my computer running lovely now and regained about 80gb in space. Agreed templates work nicely, especially for routing my drums. TTYL
Nice to see you around Mark, aah, missed your jazz bro, loving the trumpet and flute can I here drum sticks tapping here such a delicate touch, the keys are soft real groovy piece and defeniatly more balanced. Great listen on a Sunday, thanks MT
Paul, yep I've been off the grid for a moment, but now back to work. Thanks for the stop and listen. It made my day, this was a good listen for you. Be safe Paul.
Well hello mr touch of class I mean Mark :) woooo! this is so sweet and jammy jam it's sticking to my ears haha...seriously tho, this is the kind of delectable music you hear in high-end venues. My ears are ecstatic hearing this masterpiece...Ahhh one of the finer things in life! is hearing this...It's a real blessing & breath of fresh air to hear some unadulterated jazz from none other than the jazzmaster of LM. Very NICE! indeed. Easiest Fave! BRAVO!
Angelus, so we be back up and running! Right? And yep, I'm waiting for your podcast where you share your musical insights and drop a vocal every so often to tantalize your audience. Ok, so much for that, lol:). Thank you so much for checking in and enjoying what I've done here. The fave is no small matter. Thanks for that too. And lastly, your tracks are killing! Be safe and ill TTYL.

-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)
-TAMA Imperial Star + Pearl OMAR HAKIM snare + Various Ziljian cymbals.
I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : This is track me and my friend (great jazz, blues musician) done
around this great vocal we acquired.
Lot of hours in it.
I had great fun making it!
Hope you people like it.
Love and peace.
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?
