great job on this one Micky..nice production too..well done.

Micky replied 23rd Apr 2024 - 2 years ago

Hey, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the compliment. Keep rockin'!

crucethus 20th Apr 2024 07:51 - 2 years ago

The Bass is killer on this one Mate! I am a huge Heaven 17 fan. I know they did a few Remixes for ( We don't need this) Fascist Groove thing back in the late nineties. I am reading Electronically Yours Part One from Martyn Ware as we speak. I would love to hear what you bring to the table with that tune. Great job Mate!

Micky replied 23rd Apr 2024 - 2 years ago

Yes, I don't get a commitment to do the number. I think it's already stuck with the sub labels that manage their rights here. But I don't want to do it without permission of some kind. I think for use only at LM I could try and do it. Thanks for listening.

theHumps 16th Apr 2024 14:35 - 2 years ago

In the first 3 seconds I thought of the 70's song Na Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye and got reminded a few times in the track. weird but true, lol. Cool track, lots of dance-able energy in this one. Rollerskating in the 70's to this kind of music.

Hope all is well!

Wayne

Micky replied 19th Apr 2024 - 2 years ago

Hey Hey Wayne, yes, I remember the Na Na Na song. It was actually kind of cool. The track would definitely be good at the roller disco, hey hey... mine too, probably. Thanks for listening, glad you liked it.
Cheers,
Micky

Loving the balance of the track.
Vocals sounds fantastic.I didn't realize this was you.
Great guitar work, dude you're a pro for real.

Micky replied 11th Apr 2024 - 2 years ago

Hello BeatMaker4real, a wise man once said here on LM: You have to make sure you're doing the music for yourself and the joy will never leave ...
That's actually exactly how I think of it. But comments like yours here are just the icing on the cake that makes everything so delicious, aren't they? Thanks for listening.

Verdiqo 10th Apr 2024 16:15 - 2 years ago

Greetings, Now this was kinda refreshing to listen to. I do digged it. I love the vibes in this one. A bit of old school disco is always good. I also sense some modern elements to this one as well. Which made it for me even more interesting. So yeah very well done. And a good blend of different kind of elements. Keep up the good work. And yes one for the favourite section. Verdi,

Micky replied 11th Apr 2024 - 2 years ago

Groeten, Verdi,
I really enjoyed your review because that's exactly what I'm actually trying to achieve: classic references with a modern twist. Somehow you can't kill disco, huh?
Cheers,
Micky

irresistible and damn seemingly effortless ride to the top of the tower of babel — that elevator image combined w the music is pretty haunting!!
great, great stuff!

Micky replied 11th Apr 2024 - 2 years ago

The top of the Tower of Babel... what a beautiful, pictorial comparison! I've since added a few things, such as an additional rhythm guitar, short bursts of brass and some keyboard sequences ....

ioncewas 5th Sep 2021 04:12 - 5 years ago

Hi Micky, Really good progression; I definitely felt like I was in a "Disco Elevator" ;)

Micky replied 11th Apr 2024 - 2 years ago

I saw this video where a few guys in disco clothes squeezed themselves into an elevator that was styled disco and danced wildly in there. In fact, that's what inspired me to write this track. It's nice that that's how it came across to you.

OCKMASTER 4th Sep 2021 17:38 - 5 years ago
