The top of the Tower of Babel... what a beautiful, pictorial comparison! I've since added a few things, such as an additional rhythm guitar, short bursts of brass and some keyboard sequences ....

I saw this video where a few guys in disco clothes squeezed themselves into an elevator that was styled disco and danced wildly in there. In fact, that's what inspired me to write this track. It's nice that that's how it came across to you.

Uff, was fr Tricks knnte ich dir verraten ... hm ... eigentlich kenne ich gar keine Tricks. Also, ich benutze, seitdem ich auf dem iMac arbeite das dort implementierte Programm Garage Band. Viele halten es fr ein Spielzeug, was es auch sein kann, aber es ist eben doch viel mehr. Es nutzt die Logic Engine und daher ist es eigentlich vom Sound her gleichwertig. Viele praktische Funktionen fehlen ihm aber so hat man zum Beispiel keine Busse oder einfach so Time Stretching etc. geht nicht. Ich habe mir daher alle mglichen Workarounds angeeignet, um zu meinen Ergebnissen zu kommen. Die mehrstimmigen Gesangsspuren nehme ich alle einzeln auf und bearbeite sie auch alle einzeln. berhaupt bearbeite ich jede Spur akribisch mit EQ und ggf. Kompression schon vor dem Master. Ich benutze so gut wie keine Samples, sondern spiele fast alles ber ein Controller Keyboard per Hand ein, oft sogar die Drumtracks ... jede Trommel und jedes Becken einzeln (Gitarre und Bass natrlich nur klassisch analog). Dabei verwende ich in den meisten Fllen das in Garage Band mitgelieferte Instrumentarium, welches nicht von schlechten Eltern ist. Beim Mixen und Mastern helfen mir die Izotope Tools wie Ozone und Nectar etc.
Aber der grte Teil der "Tricks" ist wahrscheinlich meine Erfahrung als Musiker, meine Begeisterung und jahrelanges Tfteln. Ich liebe es einfach, an einem Track so lange zu feilen, bis er beim Anhren in meinem Auto Stereo so nah wie mglich an professionelle Produktionen herankommt. Und wenn ich das mit Garage Band schaffe, freut es mich diebisch zustzlich ... ;)

Wenn du konkrete Fragen hast nur zu. Allerdings habe ich keinen blassen Schimmer von Samplitude.

You know, I've always been a fan of dance music when it's got this strong draw. It's not that I don't have a political opinion and conviction but it's hard to combine both. I'm trying (for years now) to get the permission to do a cover of Heaven 17's WE DON'T NEED THIS FASCIST GROOVE THANG, but it seems they aren't interested since it's not for commercial purpose. So I keep grooving until I find the right lines myself ...
