Description : Following the path of the summer I created some neo reggae(if that exists :-)). I used the warm vocals of Erykah to give the track a large boost. I think one of my finest pieces yet. What do you think? If someone would like to work with me and try their vocals on it I am gladly to provide you with the track without the vocals.

Cant beat a reggae beat for head nodding, top tapping, humming alonging - very nice! And the vocal fits well - nice to see if someone can add one that lets you get around the copyright issues - there is a wealth of talent on looperman so I hope so - great production sound too

Thanks for the comment. Working on a few songs for a new album. This one will probably be on it with some different vocals. Im glad you liked the track!

Lots of cool vibes in the track, music has that summer, reggae, hot feel to it. It's a more electronic take on reggae but with the same result. I like the vocals, fun and they work well with the music. The backups are cool too.

Thanks for your comment. Tried to make a neo reggae vibe with the electronic instruments. Glad it worked out and you liking it!

great work!!! though I am pretty sure remixes of songs by famous artists are against terms of service here.

    Reply by mudhoen

Thanks a lot for your kind words and hinting me on the terms of service. According to them im allowed to post here as LM wont go after 3rd party material. The rule of thumb is that you are allowed to make remixes as long as you credit the original artist as shown before and you dont make money out of the track. Therefore i dont post it on Youtube but here. I was temped to send teh track to Erykah but I dont think of having any chance there. Im probably better off finding someone to sing original vocals to the song. Already on that!

    Reply by mudhoen

    Goedemorgen Rita,

    Hi Auke,
you hit me. Perfect. I really like your technostyle but this is the best of your tracks for me and my taste.
1A, wirklich. Ich habe gerade Feierabend und das hier ist einfach genau das richtige Lied.

    Thanks a lot Matthias.

Nice to hear that you lik reggae as well. Bob Marley is for me one of the greatest artists. Cant think of a singer who defines a musical genre as much as Bob does with reggae.

I tried using the musical structure of reggae combined with more modern sounds. Ich bin sehr froh, dass du das Resultat gut findest!

Oh, what a day
What a day, what a day
Peace and blessings manifest with every lesson learned
If your knowledge were your wealth
Then it would be well-earned
If we were made in his image
Then call us by our names
Most intellects do not believe in God
But they fear us just the same
Oh, on and on and on and on
(My cypher keeps moving like a rolling stone)
Woo, on and on and on and on
(All night 'til the break of dawn)
I go on and on and on and on
(My cypher keeps moving like a rolling stone)
Ooh, on and on and on and on
(God dammit I'mma sing my song)

Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : A quick idea I did in one day, 2 mixes, more an exercise for myself than anything serious. Inspirations were a Peter Tosh docu for the reggae feel, a surfing vid on what a point break was for the vox, the Ace of Bass vid The Sign for the drums and Jaco Pastorius song Crisis for a bit of inspirational bass thrown in. 2 drum loops used and a vocal effect loop for the heck of it in the middle, he. Live percussion, cabasa, guiro and double maraca. Me on git, bass, vox. Here comes Summer!
