Description : When someone lives in your walls, watching, waiting. Not one of my darker tunes, but it's a little menacing at the very least. All synths, and basslines created by me in Serum, sylenth1 and massive...like always. I suggest speakers, or headphones that can pick up deep sub bass.
(Edit: I adjusted some of the melody synth levels. They were buried too deep in the mix. I also brought the percussion down a touch. Hopefully this is better)

If you have time take a listen and give ValveDriver some feedback.
Great track - missed it before - wonderful work on the synths - I can imagine that this would make a very good end credits track on some spine-tingling horror film!
Pretty cinematic track, sounds like from the Bladerunner or a sci fi suspense movie. Plenty to keep me interested, good changes, intro, breaks... all cool. Some neat synth work, you seemed to really get what you were looking for for sounds to build the soundscape and create the feel you wanted.
Dude, I guess I'm gonna have to start checking in here on a daily basis now ! I hate being late to the ValveDriver new release parties. Especially when the Hors d'Oeuvres your serving up are this good ! I know your style is typically very mood based and generally very dark natured. But yeah this is something else. It's more creepy or disturbing I think. I agree with danke that it does have some cinematic elements and you do a great job here to manage the effects and not overwhelm it. It seems to be more minimalistic than most of your tracks and whether this was done purposely or not, I think it really works here. Everything seems to blend well in the mix for me, but I didn't hear the first version before the edit. I notice some difference in the sound of the synths, I suspect you tried some different settings. As usual your structuring is great, love the mid way tempo change up.
Aaron, your really firing on all cylinders now bro. Keep poking the coals to it man. This one was really fun !
Ha! I guess it has been a bit of a Valvdriver Smorgasbord these last couple of weeks.
Yes. Typically, my work is darker and more mood based, but lately, since I've had the time to just sit down and let it all flow, I've just been letting it write itself. No matter how far outside the realms of the "vast and barren wasteland of post apocalyptic industrialism" it gets. Basically, I have time to enjoy it, so that's what I'm doing! I'm sure I'll eventually get back to the grinding doom based nightmare soundtracks, but for now...I'm a roll widdit!
You mentioned this one being more minimalist than usual. That is true. I did purposely go with a more minimal approach. Generally, I really like making the complex, uber-layered tracks with a lot of shit happening, (Just like my art. Of which, I still need to get a way for you to see those too.), but I wanted to try seeing if I could make a filled out track with less elements. In this one, I used a total of 11 instruments. That includes each piece of the drums. Normally, I have almost that many in synths alone. (I really like to layer)
I did go a little out of the box with the synth patches this time. I was trying to achieve a more detuned, uneasy, unsure feeling without actually being out of tune. However,I'm curious to know what the differences were that you heard in the synths.
Eric, as always my friend, it's a pleasure to hear from you. I will get a hold of you later about the art stuff.
Cool, Intro, and then you go modern German Goth. I love it.

Without the pop chorus. But you have a darker edge that makes this fun and deranged in a good way.
Quality work, excellent sound.
Your work seems very focused now.
All the Best

There's a genre/subgenre for everything now, isn't there?
I can see some similarities between this track and the AND ONE. I can't really say that I was influenced by this genre, though. I listened to this kind of music back in the late 90s/early 00s, but not much since.
"Your work seems very focused now."
I have been given the opportunity to have some free time with no job, no kids, and no responsibilities for about the last month. I've had PLENTY of time to focus on it. Not being caught up in the daily hustle and bustle has done wonders for my creativity.
Honestly, I wasn't a fan of Jack as Joker. For my money, the only person that ever truly captured the full sociopath, chaos driven, psychotic essence of the Joker was Mark Hamill in the animated series that came out in he 90s. But, that's my opinion. ;)
An absolute gorgeous production...reminds me at Kurt Russell's Escape from New York but for the 2020 version...
dangerous synth work as always in your electronic works and cool mood...it easily colud be cinematic the genre...
quality, feeling, pro work...
that's all, this is what ValveDriver is all about now ...
hats off, Danke
Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

"Dangerous synth work"
I like that. I think from now on, I may have to use it in my profiles and general descriptions of my music.
Danke, you take care, mister.
with all sincerity.
