Description : Recorded this about a week ago when I was in the midst of a move, ugh. But this made my week. Sunny War on vocals and guitar. Simiple simple simple orchestration. A few loops strung along and then just Sunny's pure songstress magic and truly beautiful guitar playing - the bridge is...well, it just is. The gossamer guitar-strung thoughts of Sunny War floating in the clear blue air. You gotta hear it.

Nice piece here. The vocals and guitar are superb, and the mix brings that out. My favorite part was the guitar section around 2:10, that was so smooth. All around good job!

CitizenMofo replied 31st Mar 2017 - 9 years ago

Thanks for the listen and the positive comment, MelodicDreamer. Really appreciate it! That guitar section is my favorite part too.

Thank you, my friend. Something like "Breathless" - yes, let's do it. We struggled in the studio last night and I had to abandon a track. But this one came easy. Danke as always for your support!

austinmusic 28th Mar 2017 02:08 - 9 years ago

Big fan of this! The vocals, the lyrics, and the production are just great. Nice work!

CitizenMofo replied 28th Mar 2017 - 9 years ago

Thank you, austinmusic. That makes me feel really good. I'll share your comment with Sunny too. Thanks again.

CitizenMofo replied 27th Mar 2017 - 9 years ago

Thanks, tekreck. I'm glad you liked it, and I appreciate the comment!

Very sentimental track. I don't generally listen to acoustic productions, so it's nice to hear this from you. Keep it up!

CitizenMofo replied 27th Mar 2017 - 9 years ago

Thanks, Billion. Glad you stopped by, and appreciate the comment. We've got guitar songs that span the range from the prettiest acoustic to the hardest raging psychedelic blues rock, which we've been working on the last 4 months. I mean, that's what you do when you're collabing with a guitar goddess, right? Thanks.

So much potential!
Takes me back many years to something somewhere.
Don't know what it is where it is or when it was but you pressed a button.
Fantastic feeling but something doesn't quite sound right.
Problem is I'm listening on pc speakers just now. They are BnO but they're still only pc speakers.
I'll have a listen later on something bigger.
Great atmosphere.

CitizenMofo replied 27th Mar 2017 - 9 years ago

Thanks, Silverman! I'm a silverman too, or silverback as I prefer, so appreciate the comment from one to another. What doesn't sound quite right? Please let me know if you figure it out. Thanks!

Wow I used that opening loop in one of my tracks in a completely different genre, pretty cool

CitizenMofo replied 27th Mar 2017 - 9 years ago

Yeah loops are malleable that way. It's a cool loop - sounds like a simple piano figure yet there's that weird squelching sound embedded in it. How could one NOT use it? Sometimes all it takes is a loop like that and you're off and running on a burst of inspiration. Long live looperman!

Awesome track CitizenMofo and a wonderful collaboration between you and Sunny War! It has a very laid back vibe and it took my ears on a really cool journey. The mix sounds pretty good too. This one's a Fav. Truly nice work.

CitizenMofo replied 27th Mar 2017 - 9 years ago

Thanks, Shatner! Sunny's the best collaborator I could hope for. I can write a song like this and imagine what it will sound like with her vocals and guitar, and then it always sounds way better than I even imagined. And we can knock something like this out in 2 hours - no rush, just moving through it step by step. I'm a very happy songwriter right now. Thanks for your listen and comment.

ElenaSatine 26th Mar 2017 20:17 - 9 years ago

seems you and sunny war have made a very good team .
cool and interesting composition .
pleasure to listen to a little different works .

CitizenMofo replied 27th Mar 2017 - 9 years ago

Thank you, kind lady! Yeah it really pushes me as a songwriter working with Sunny because the songs have to be worthy of that voice. And of course her masterful guitar. Thank you for your listen and comment!
