9th Sep 2016 05:20 - 10 years ago
Description : Tropical House. The instrumental for this was originally entered into the Charlyfive - "Empire" remix competition, here on looperman - (which I won).
The prize was supposed to be 15 dollars but I'm still waiting for that lol..
I added the vocal at a later date and was really pleased with how well things turned out..
Take a listen and feel free to share your thoughts :)

Description : A stranger's knife is expected. It wounds the body and spares the heart.
But when the blade comes from a brother's hand, or a son's, or a wife's gentle fingers, it carves something no surgeon can repair. They knew where I was soft. They had always known.
I have been betrayed by enemies and I have been betrayed by kin. Only one taught me that trust is a door, and family holds the only keys.
Blood binds us but It never promised to bind us kindly.

Description : EASE. Propella Head.
Dark atmosphere meets melodic lift in this upbeat roller from EASE. Deep bass and a driving groove keep the momentum moving, while the melody brings an emotional pull. Propella Head draws you into the shadows and keeps your feet moving.

Description : Heavy, but you can still dance to it. The kind of industrial from the Chicago Wax Trax era, bands like TKK. At least that's what I was aiming for.

Description : We used to ride all night thru downtown Chicago blasting Return to foever in Marks 72 Vega with 12" Ventura BIC speakers in the back that were chrystal clear. i was still too young to drive. Those were some of the greatest times I ever had I'll never forget that band the bandmates or those times. Mark out did himself on this Re-mix/Master. He also updated the Drums, makes the track feel brand new, even tho it's 4 years old.

Instead, here is the instrumental to the work. I'll put the uncensored version somewhere else.

I mix almost exclusively on headphones so I inadvertently build the stereo image based on what I hear from the two cups... so when the mix translates onto proper sound systems - it can sometimes sound a little weird with all my unusual panning choices haha..
Thanks for taking some time out of your day to listen to my work though! Really appreciate every listen and comment that I get.
All the best!
George
Well you know I don't know much about production and technical stuff, but it's good dance music. The hook is rather catchy.
Good to see you're still making good music! :-)
I know...lol. If he makes another remix competition, I'm gonna enter it and ruin the song by singing about that darn 15 dollars haha!
Do you remember that song we collabed on "Aint nobody loving me" ?? It actually got played on a national radio station here in the UK a few months ago - pretty neat huh :D
As for this track, I know dance music isn't normally you're kinda thing so I really appreciate you stopping by and leaving some positive feedback! :)
George
lol..
Glad you liked the track overall though ;)
Very surprised this hasnt been reviewed more, as it is very good, great use of the vocals and the mix is right up there with your high standard that i become used too, guessing not many elle golding fans here :), anyways top work, fav...peace n respect mate...mosaic...
You normally have to give reviews to get reviews in return around here - I'm really quite slack on that front so I'm not too surprised tbh haha..
As always though, really appreciate you stopping by and taking a peek at the goods!
Be safe mate :)
Always cool to hear when someone genuinely enjoys a track of mine - means I'm doing something right haha!

The Intro,drop,transitions,breakdown all sound perfect.
Great melody with nice variations! Love it.
I think this is probably one of my better tracks to date.. would love to get an original vocal over this someday!
Cheers!
