Btw, I've listened it with cheap MP3 in ear thingies as well as a quality studio headphone. Maybe I should have done the cheap in-ears first, and then the headphone. But i've noticed no differences as my reply above except the simple audio quality of my hardware. :)
At first, I was like, 'Wait, wut, does the icecream man drives by?' I had to adjust to it for a moment but that is more caused of me switching from my hard house project to this all of a sudden.
This track is SICK! It really brought me in a inner chillax state of peace and hormony. Kept listening it 6/7 times in a row!
This track sounds in perfect harmony. The instrumental and vocals make love together. There is a little crackling, best noticeable at the beginning. But I think thats part of the nice vintage kind of sound? I don't know how to say it in a better word but I think you'll understand haha. I had to get comfortable with it at first but actually its very nice.
Further feedback, the drums are all good.
At 1:08/1:14/1:120/1:23/2:16 etc. there comes a sound in which I cannot directly name. Sort of trumpet one but not like the awesome 1:16 trumpet/trombone a-like sound. That does seems to compress the vocals and bit of the rest at those few moments. (only SLIGHTLY) That being said, its only a innie minnie thing. Without that, or maybe turning it a tick more down does potentially the trick.

Excellent work Wordybum and Dj StephSkilled!! (lol)
From the beginning, the beat is classic in style. I realize that it is not your work, but it sounds good. Then we move on to your performance, which is equally classic! If I still was doing loop radio shows, I'd be all over this in the set list. I feel a bit of christian undertone here, which I can fully forgive since there is also a heaping teaspoon of artistry added to the recipe. All in all, this has been a great listening experience, so much so that I played it twice. Great work!
The reason you feel the drums are sucking away from the vocals is because the snare and kick are centered while the vocal seems to be shifting around the stereo space and combating for frequency space (see below paragraph). You may want to have a mono vocal center-panned and have the effects on another track and blend the two until you get the effect you're looking for. A slight more compression may help as well, with a faster attack. This will let the vocal remain more balanced between syllables and reduce the percieved effect that the drums are overpowering the voice.
The track itself is solid. You may want to try scooping the instrumental (using equalization) down by maybe 1dB near 3-4kHz and boost that same frequency by 1dB in your vocal track so that your voice cuts through the spectrum more effectively.

Description : Hello everyone! EYEDYE back again with a rap track! I think I outdid myself on this one. I tried a more modern style of vocals, stacking them up and adding my own style and I love it. A little short for my taste, but I've just got so many projects. Solo stuff, My metal Band, and providing vocals for other loopers. (I didnt forget about you Danke!!!) So, for now, take it as is and maybe I'll return to it one day. Let me know what you think!
Since yall showed so much love, i uploaded a cleaner version.

Description : The rapper is BadgaNFK. One of the drum loops is cg5music. The rap is about Genghis Khan when he was a young man known only as Temüjin, living on the steps of Mongolia. These were rugged tribal peoples living as part of nature in what could be a very hostile environment. I tried to capture that in this, hence all the nature sounds. The ending is Mongolian people singing.
Description : in recognition of the King's coronation just reminding him there is another King in the UK :)))

Description : To make up for my absence, I decided to upload something you've never seen from me before. For the first time on this site, I did not make the instrumental of this track. The instrumental is a generic rap instrumental I found on youtube. I wanted to focus my energy and time solely on the rap and its lyrics. Hopefully, in doing so, the track is better off for it. Let me know what you think.
Description : Hey just produced this 100% ORIGINAL hip hop/rap beat. Haven't given it a title or cover pic (you can choose both). Would love it if any rappers spit fire over it. Free to use how ever you like, just add (Prod. Equinox) or something to that extent in the title. If you do use it, definitely send me a link. Would love to hear some of the talent within the rap community.
Description : I'm just having some fun with this Hip Hop track by Kryptic. It's FREE to use and I just loved the beat because it's a Tupac type beat. No I don't rap but I sure know how to rhyme & Keep in Time :) wanted to try something & exercise my vocals/All vocals By Me (Except For The Tag Of Course goes without saying) The lyrics I wrote lil while ago, I just made them fit the track. Not perfect just having some fun here & I had a blast! maybe too much fun!! :P
