Ok, but everything audible from 1:16 to 2:16 excluding the percussion was part of that sample set sound for sound, exactly the same. I remember them very clearly because I would make hundreds of different combinations as songs, they were so terrible but fun.

So it's just a very strange coincidence to me that you made them all from scratch. You perhaps heard the sounds somewhere and then recreated them in this composition. You must have a "microphonic memory".

I am really sorry I dont know what to tell you?
Most of the time I do listen to a lot of music before I do some or sometime I emulate some sound to fit my composition.
My synth piece is 64 bar long.

Starts out with a great 8 bit video game styled tune which is very fitting of the 80's theme. One thing that really strikes me is 1:16 where I hear a tune which was the first loop I ever worked with!

That electronic melody at 1:16 was part of a sample set in an application called Garage Band on the apple mac computers in my primary school. Playing with those tunes was what brought me into using Digital Audio Workstations such as the one I use now for windows called Mixcraft.

Even more of a coincidence is that same melody when I went looking for samples of it I came across looperman. Unfortunately I could never find those samples or even their name but I found an amazing music community.

So I thank you for allowing me to relive my journey in this musical composition.

Also I would really like to know what the hell those samples are, its been killing me for the past six years.

I am sorry to say I can't help you regarding the samples I didn't use any.

there need something to make it sound as a full song you should try with one of those a bass or drum, other then that you should Work on not use to many effects, or at least check bass mid and low and turn one of them off to listen how the sound is and possible it could be broken but you would easy hear soon as you turn maybe mid and low off then listen to the bass.

This is pretty fun stuff! I find the composition of the synth parts to be pretty eighties, while some of the actual sounds used put me more in mind of the nineties. The overall mixing and stuff sounded quite modern though. This is a good combination of traits for a song to my ears though, I like to combine those sorts of influences as well! Groovy, funky, dancable and all around cool. Dig it! Fave

Hey jamid, good to see you posting! I can't say I listened to much of this music back then but like Ed said, you couldn't help hear this kind of music played in movies and all sorts of clubs and stores, airports... It's nice you could write a song for someone's child and time stamp it to a certain period. Good skills!

It's well put together and nicely mixed. I like all the space in it even though you used what seems to be a lot of sounds and instruments. There is a lot happening and it doesn't feel cluttered or overdone.

    Well done jamid!

Well, you definitely know how to make an entrance, haha. Wow, great tasty synth work on this one. It does have that club vibe as Ed referred to. I've always been a fan of that big phat synth sounding lead, and this one has plenty of that. Really nice work. You had from the start and kept me all the way to the end. A great way to start my day, bobbing my head and having some synth jam with my toast and coffee, haha. Well done! Happy holidays. I hope all is well.

I spent a lot of the 80s in airports & hotels...and most of those hotels had some kind of club downstairs where you could have a listen for a while before cashing the day in...definitely reminded of the vibe...I like that its a nice uplifting kind of little melody with the high synth lead & great fat analog bass lines..addicting kind of beat...I could listen to this for a long time...you`ve outdone yourself (again)....keep on...you just keep getting better....Ed

on a role of pretending to be multi-instrumentalist again by smuggling in some sweet strings, bulgarian flute, celtic harp,
unexpectedly blurry piano and this time a tiny bit of real live acoustic guitar...what an adventure for a vst/keyboard guy..:) As always

Description : I went to the beach and set up my stereo recording mic under a gazebo near it (I apologize for some of the air gusts being recorded haha; we had a strong SE wind that day :P Tried my best to place it out of the wind); wanted to record myself playing live and do some cheesy roleplay in the process - wanted to make it feel like the listener was sitting there beside me. ** This is what the beach looks like: http://static.travel.usnews.com/images/destinations/80/south_padre_island_main.jpg **

Lo and behold, I'm about halfway through the song when my buddy Mark, a friend from college, heard me singing and decided to join me (he seems to never part with his guitar lol).

The expression on his face was that of confusion as to why I had my mic with me and a audio-capturing device, which I plugged into an outdoor electrical plug that the gazebo owners installed lol (I've done recordings like this before but didn't like the results; we messed up a little at the end but I was like meh it's not bad anyways.) but I'm glad he didn't say it out loud or it would have ruined the recording lol. Luckily, I was playing a song he and I wrote together some time ago, so he was able to just jump right in. He's a great guitar player.

Even though it was a little awkward at the end since we hadn't seen each other for like 4 months (you might be able to tell by the way I responded to his "thats so cool" comment haha), I think it turned out just fine. It was a lovely evening and the clouds were all poofy and happy. Lots of people were there too, though I made sure to sit far away from all of them. Ahh, it was a beautiful day. I'm glad I live by the ocean :P * Just kidding, I recorded this in my studio; though I do live close to the water, this was not recorded there :P I did everything, down to the wind blowing into the mic, except for the sound of water and the kids in the background. I got those sounds here: freesfx.co.uk/login/

The guitars and vocals were one-takes to give a more realistic feel. No pitch-correction or autotune. Just wanted to try making another soundscape (or whatever you want to call this :P) about what it's like to live by the ocean.

Description : Glen Cloy is one of the glens of Antrim (Tumbleweed's county) in Northern Ireland. The little people, actualy fairies, populate all of them and they all have very old ghost stories that have been told for centuries (and still are)...This one is about Shaman of old and his journeys through the spiritual world...That sums up what Ed told me about the concept for our 7th (how convenient^^) collab work. The main core of the track is Ed's work and the original length was 5:18, but I wouldn't have been Orlando if I didn't tempt to compose my longest intro to date (3:10) to inject my own fantasies about little creatures of Glen Cloy (soft spot for spiritual world..hehe..). Other than that I also added some synths arrangements and vocal samples for the rest of the track and probably ruined it a bit..haha..but that's how collabs are sometimes..:)^^.....All my thanks to Ed...and Irish ghosts ofcourse...

I have never experienced sounds so true to a real piano, Ive paid a lot of money to a very well-known company for such vst which Ive never used because it did not sound like a piano.
The music of this track is replicated; However, the piano sounds are done with this vst.
