Hey guys, I decided to try to make a track using a LM loop as the foundation! I made this "RnB" loop into something a little more "folk" i guess you could say. I added some filtered strings and tropical precussion behind it, and also gave it the structure of a tropical track as well. I actually have a youtuber who is going to provide vocals for the track so that is why some parts are bare.(so as to leave room for the vocalist to be creative with their writing) I really had lots of fun making this track and look forward to it getting finished off with some quality vocals. I haven't really mixed it well, and the bass during the drop is definitely going to be changed in the final product. If you guys have any critiques/reviews on things that need to be fixed or changed, please feel free to comment!
Thanks again guys!
Rico L.

Very nice song but it's not folk. Folk music is done with traditional acoustic bluegrass instruments and most often with singing. Folk doesn't involve that type of drums either, usually played with no drums. Synths and fake hand claps aren't used in folk music either. This is electronic music with an acoustic guitar track in it, maybe pop.
With that being said, it doesn't mean I don't like it, I really like it. The vibe is light, fresh, airy, a bit Celtic with the tin whistle and the down beat. There are some nice melodies and I like the selection of sounds you used. Well done!
Oh man I really like this one Rico...I just posted a comment before but it went into space..I`m enjoying listening too much to offer useful suggestions...sounds nice and crisp...highs are great and everything seems nicely placed in the mix...kick is good & fat...not sure about the bass??...I`m just listening with my old Sony MDV-600 phones and they are terrible on bass (great on highs)...I`ll be looking for a download when you get it the way you want...but its a fav now too....great job...Ed
Thanks so much for the support Tumbleweed! Sorry about not getting back to you about that comment on my track I posted earlier. Ive been busy making a ton of new stuff! I will be sure to upload the finished product here later so you can enjoy it, good bass or no, lol:)

Fantastic harmonies and great dancing groovy...I'm awooden footed sucker but my lady was a dancer and I showed her...she moved at first sight...I didn't...:-)
This comment made me really happy to read:) I'm so glad your girl danced to the track when she first heard it. That was the feel I wanted to capture in the track :)
Description : What happens when a short but hypnotic celtic intro turns into something completely different? The most noteworthy collaborator on this track (yeah you guessed, it's Tumbleweed) answered correctly to this question! A newly patented musical genre is what happens...yes..."SlovenianCelticCowboyMusic" is born. Sometimes we just have to cut off from being too serious...The version presented here has been carefully chosen from 4856 or so mixes...
As always all thanks to my dear friend Ed who makes such wonders possible to happen.....
Description : Another simple track... Wonder if my genre selection fits for the tune. :)

Description : One of my oceanics. It is a Greek song, short but full of my sentiments about the sea and our land. I am glad to share it with the listeners of LM and of course my friends, co-workers of music.
Description : This is a country/folk track in a genre I don't do much, so I thought I'd give it a go. It also has some instruments I don't use much, namely the banjo, mandolin and fiddle. I got the title from a movie I saw a few months ago. Hope you enjoy, Scott.
Description : A folk rock ballad done in 3/4 time.
I am performing all guitars, vocals, bass, shaker and tambourine. Drums and French horns written in MIDI. 2 Apple percussion loops used.
Description : I wanted to do something different like i do normaly. And I think that I was successful.
A -drum ´n chill folk song-. A kind of hippie music in colorful garb of the modern era.
At the end of the track there is a bonus.
Something in the way of bonfire music.
Only minor2go with guitar and I sing all alone at ......................................................................................................
feat - minor2go on guitar - EpicRecord on drums - thegibZy on drums -
Description : Wrote it on a relaxing Sunday morning. Acoustic guitar rhythm with an acoustic lead, bass and guiro. Updated: removed some percussion, remixed and mastered.
Description : I had the idea that this lyric could be rapped over my track but not having the skills to do that repurposed Joni's masterful voice - It seems a little jarring at first but I kind of like how it fits as it goes along - My multitracked classical guitar and my constructed beat from various vst kits and 'you know who ' sampled vocal (cut up just a little). Not sure about genre
Feedback welcome
