I felt like I had to do something with this one and asked Charlene for the vocal tracks.
This is the remix of her work and it has been on the workbench for quite some time now. Nothing has been changed in it for about 5 month.
Tonight i decided to just release it and walk on to a new song. This mastering is far from perfect.

Description : This is my attempt at the one-hour challenge for LM (finished at 57 min 48 sec). I had to mix/master on the go and this was the result. Some bad chords here and there that I did my best to conceal, one-takes on guitar and piano and used an awesome acapella from a1000times, who wrote the words that Dikaiko sang over. I really like her voice. Anyhoo yea, I like this one a lot so probably gonna come back to this in the near future. Comments welcome.

Description : I put this under acoustic even though I did use a couple midi tracks. I felt they sounded acoustic enough to put the track in that category. Suppose it could be chill out as well, however you want to label it, do so. I used an Indian flute and an electric guitar sounding plugin with some tremolo added along with acoustic guitar, mandolin and harmonica. Nothing too complicated here and I felt it sounded good enough to upload so enjoy!

I enjoyed the original, as with nearly all of her stuff, so it was good to hear this with some drums and vocals moved about. Hi-hats are pretty effective. The one thing that's bothered me about this track is the original acoustic loop sounds like it doesn't loop perfect, but it's character.
You did good with an already good song. You didn't bastardize it,.... you accentuated it. Nicely done.

hi again and thanks a lot for the reply,
so after re-listening to all the stuff and loops I can say that I really appreciate what you did. For sure there's much to improve as the recording still sounds not very clear in my opinion, especially the drums. Probably it is a bass line that generates some strange frequencies at places, I do not know... But overall this is some good effort with nice additions. I understand that creating arrangements and finding perfect instruments might be difficult - I tried many times!

Charlene has a great voice, strong and hauntingly beautiful at times. The instrumentation you added seems to tie it all together. Mix is solid, nice highs and lows and the vocals merge with the music seamlessly. Quite a change from the original, dig it!
