Description : Here is a preview of what i am working on i am kinda lost on how to continue this ( i am sure it will hit me in the head sooner then later) however i would like your thoughts on how it sounds, i don't have a clear line on what it should sound like ( this is why i am lost LOL) so i am hoping The people of looperman can help me out :) thanks and enjoy the preview

This is a beautiful track with some real gems for melodies. You mentioned where to go from here...I think it's all there but perhaps just clustered to close together there are some phrases you could really blossom out especially at 44 seconds and 1:11. Run with some of those enchanting melodies and just use you gut instinct, make it as long as it remains interesting as I say.
WEll savage haha im shocked you found the preview but u missed the finished the version XD( heres the link to it http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/163503 ) Thanks for dropping by and have a good daY :). Take care and have a good day
This is a great piece of work AD. I love the darkness the horns bring to the piece at the beginning. My approach to doing a cinematic piece like this (and believe me I'm not an expert at all!) is to have a storyline in mind. This will give you a guide and a goal for the overall feel of the piece. I hope you can find some inspiration, because this is excellent!
The funny part about your comment is that Before i even start making any of my Cinematic works I listen to the loops over and over again to build a story into my head so i know where the track is going XD it's just i been out of it for 2 years that i lost my head for a bit. BUT do not worry my fearless tiger, cheetah? (cant tell haha) i can ensure you that the final is Good and ready to show :) { 24 hour waiting period :(} Thanks for taking a listen and Dropping a comment really appreciate it
My big problem with it, and I suspected this just from seeing the waveform, is that it's so damn loud! Please turn it (the master?) down and it can still be just as powerful.
Anyway: fun little melody to kick things off. Next thing to catch my attention is the brass. Powerful sound that I hear a few people on the site using. Must get that sampled instrument into my musical arsenal.
0:42 nice string melody. Very graceful. There's a slight problem with the transition at 0:42. Something sounds a bit cut off.
0:48 guitar is a surprise. Probably better to turn down the strings behind it as they're a bit overpowering there.
1:18 bass is cool and a surprise. Brass on top complements it very well.
Overall: a skilful, very busy track that packs a hell of a lot into a short time.
So: just turn various things down and find a way to come to some sort of neat conclusion and you'll have a fine piece of cinematic music.
Don't worry Static I fixed that in the final version my ears couldn't take the loudness as well also it was the bass that sounded so dam loud that it overpowered most of the track I hated that. Also if you like from 0:40 to 1:30 then i hope you enjoy what i did with that piece when i upload it today lol ( 24 hour waiting period sucks haha) Thanks for the comment and the listen i am glad you that you like it :) Hope you enjoy the final version when i release it. Anyway way have a good day and take care
Nice Clarinet on the beginning very nice, :38-41 nicks the String progression from Judas Priest's Nostradamus album, Specifically "Sands of Time-Pestilence and Plague"
you Should Listen too it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1572ozk-qY&html5=1

Thanks for the Link Cru and hope you Listen to the Final Version when i release it and i will Check out the Song you Linked me :) thanks for dropping by and taking a listen. Take care and have a good day
Love how epic this song is! Really powerful in all aspects: instrument choice, composition, and mix. Great work, really reminds me of something I would hear in Oblivion in the Elder Scrolls Series!
LOL i just visited your tack as well HAHA Thanks for dropping by i finished this track and will release it tomorrow to make up for me missing the NEW Years on this site rofl. Fun aside i hope you enjoy this track when it gets uploaded tomorrow :D take care
This is very nicely put together. It shouldn't be very hard to figure out where to go from here. The question really is what kind of overall theme are you going for. Like tumbleweed said, put it away for a day or so and come back to it with a fresh perspective. The creativity will come.
Thanks Livingsoulsdie however i already finished the track keep a eye out for it tomorrow when i release it. It will be my NEW YEAR track since i am 18 days late Rofl. Took a long time to put this together so i am hoping you guys enjoy it when you hear it :) take care and have a good day
You rae off to a great start AngelDragon...big fat mix...nice and clean with all instruments right in place...I think one of the reasons why it could raise a question about 'Now what?" is that there are just so many options...Any of the individual instruments in the mix has the potention to pick up a transitional melody line & take it in whatever direction...a big sweeping angelic (but sparse) verse with just the basic orchestral instruments...violins & cellos?..stepping down to a wave of calm in contrast to the dramitic 1st section...or even take that little guitar line and make it an ambient transition....Just my off-the-top reaction...but, the main thing....keep it going...May be worth putting it away for a day or two & then revisiting....(I try to do that...but it keeps me awake at nights some times..Haha....).....It will get to the place it is supposed to be.......Ed
Thanks ED However i finished the track :3 only took 5 hours but i cleaned it up nicely and added a whole lot to it from what i posted now ( it still follows what i posted now but it sounds different) also i cleaned the track so that the bass is not overpowering the instruments nor does it have forced sound feeling also i didn't go for a BIG action piece that i usually try to go for it more like it happens but in a small time frame also i ended it is a way that kinda to me feels kinda off but works cant wait to post it tomorrow for you guys to hear its kinda my New Year track HAHA XD
Superb piece of cinematic music. Love it when you bring in that heavy synth bass and it all kicks off. Technically brilliant and i can see this is going to be a splendid piece when it's finished. Don't stop now, this is far too good.
FR
Thanks FR im slowly finding the path to get this piece going. It sucks that i don't have any of my old work to go off of ( hard drive went BOOM!) But i shall Continue and finish it soon hopefully lol thanks for dropping by and taking a listen bro means a lot :) as always take care and have a good day
This is brilliant...so many ways to continue cause this is a superb fusioned artwork...I'm coming from the analog rock line so what I've heard around 0.47 is the continuing point for me...that brilliant guitarish toned 10 seconds...you can use that 'riff' again and build around a groovy drum to go to the prog rock way...but on the other hand there are some electro choices or finish it with an ambientish, chillish pad calmness after the vibrations before...
Maaan, this track is a growing seed...use it, do it!!!
Would gladly shake your hand Danke * shake hands * as for the riff again I shall see if i can work that into the piece again or use that to build into the action that i am trying to build up to :) thanks for dropping by and taking a listen your words helped me out thanks. Take care and have a good day

Description : Ok...here it is! Another colab with maestro Tumbleweed! Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!

Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...
This track is an elaboration of dgalantic’s track “Starting Over 0172257.” It is almost entirely comprised of loops by other artists on looperman. The newsreel in the intro section is from public domain footage of the Vietnam War. Prince Fatty chimes later in with some words of wisdom. The track was sequenced with Mixtikl and edited in Audacity.
Loops from the following artists are included:
1. ThatJeffCarter’s guitar “feedback 197765”
2. three of Nightingale’s harmonica trills: “angels 0088377, inner light 0088361 and never and never 0088366”
3. Heavily fx’ed vocal excerpts from Eshar’s “7th Dimension 0002644”
4. Dcmack’s rhythm loops “2 bass drums 1- 0085449, 2- 0085446, and 4- 0085448.”
5. Steelyvibe’s choral wash “luno frunezo 0005719”
6. Nightingale’s guitar loop “diving deep 0043488”
7. Rasputin1963’s chorals “ soul ladies gospel riff 0088641 and reggae soul girls choir 0087693”

Description : So a new track for everyone. Im pretty impressed by this one, and would even place it higher than one of my best tracks, Angel And A Demon. However, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put vocals to it. I have some in mjnd, but idk if itd be better to leave as is and keep it instrumental or not. Take a listen and let me know! Also, let me know if anything is too loud, still working on my mastering.
