Very enjoyable track to listen to! I guess my old fashioned ideals place this under an electronic or psy trance label more than techno, but I suppose I'm judgemental (as well as mental). I liked the arpeggios very much, as well as your use of my snare loop. I think the biggest thing missing is the low frequencies. Had my sub most of the way cranked and the volume up a good amount, and there really was no low end. Can't quite say what would be causing the problem, but especially for a tech track it would help to fix it. Maybe there wasn't much of a bass line to begin with I guess, so I won't put the blame on you... heh. I liked the flow of the song very much though! Keep at it!
hey,
yeah the bass line was lost when processing and mixing and so on... anyway you can hear it better: https://soundcloud.com/promenade2239/surreal-ambiences-tt-edit but not sure if it is good enough on your listening system - this is earlier version of the track...
Again my main focus is on the music.
Probably my monitors aren't big or good enough to generate the actual low frequencies but still my listening experience is amazing. AMAZING.
Again hard to explain cause Im not an en native speaker.
sometimes I don't see the actual difference between techno and jazz when starting a new tune and setting a bpm randomly on my daw.
here's some another interesting remix of mine: http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/161561
I hope you will appreciate at least the production and vision.
So much energy flowing from all angles. Great melodies and great vibes here. still very different for my ears. but in a good way. keep up the good work :) -EazyBeatz-
With all the instrumentation choices we have now and the unlimited track numbers provide its always tempting (for me anyway) to add something more..I sometimes find it useful to go back later and question how each part contributes to the mix...and delete any that do not....I really like this one the way it is Alex...there is enough room to add more (particularly in the lower-mid frequencies) and that may be good too..there is nothing against having some fun with our music......at present each parts sits nice and clearly in the mix and it still carries a fairly minimalist vibe...Sounds good to me....well done guys.....Ed
thanks a lot Ed,
Yes, sometimes I can work in reverse, removing the elements... I am questioning this one as well at the moment.
This tune is experimental - my attempt in unknown electronic genre inspired by DanceDemagogue who makes a dark-electronic stuff. He added far-out ambient elements to it.
It is my remix over his remix. The bassline was lost during the process I did. There's some limitations cause I am working on an old laptop - I pushed it to it's limits by this one anyway.
I am still looking forward to create simple instrumental acoustic piano/epiano music.
Im glad you liked this one - many thanks for your thoughts! It's appreciated.
Alex
Very nice, minimalist arpeggios sort of a hybrid of techno and trance but like you I enjoy Phillip Glass and a very minimalist structure so I think it's just fine the way it is nice work Alex
Steve
Thanks a lot Steve. It's really nice to hear you enjoyed this track. I am happy you had a chance to hear developed version - the song was initially quite simple. After reading the MWRatridge comment I thought of reworking it again but didn't know how to make a progress - DanceDemagogue sent me today his remix - my new version is based on his work.
I really like minimal-music. Probably the 'Variations for winds, Strings and Keyboards' by Steve Reich http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xb6vtl_variations-for-winds-strings-and-ke_music will be my favourite ever - I can't remember how many times I was listening to this.
There's a lot of things happening along the track now so I do not know if it's 'minimal' anymore, but of course it still can be, if needed...
Thanks for your time and nice comments on this track - it's always appreciated. Alex
Thanks Alex it's great fun working with you. By the way folks you're right, it's not finished yet. There's still some work to be done so keep an eye out :)
Nicely done, Alex. I don't listen to techno or electronic styles much anymore, but use to get into it in it's heyday. I remember jamming to Kraftwerk on a Simmons drum kit with friends, back in the old days. Things have really changed since than.
Thanks a lot Scott! It's a bit unusual for me as well and as I said when responding to other comments below: it's an experimental track! The basic idea here was to create minimal and repetitive electro music. I really like kraftwerk and older german electronic - good point! So again: this one is just my attempt to make an electro track - the 'techno' label can fit all older electro-music genres!
Thanks again for your time and nice comments - it's always appreciated! Alex
thank you for your comment Mark!
I think the minimal-music always sounds a bit unfinished. This is an experimental track of mine - it seems like it's repetitive indeed but actually there's a great amount of slightly changing things going on there. But still that's only my personal preference - I like american minimal-music like Phillip Glass or Steve Reich. Some people may find it boring and that's ok.
Thanks again for your time and review. Alex
Thanks for your review Gramo. Yes, some downbeat-style samples used for the drums here, not really a tech kits. This is my first attempt to the genre - really glad you liked it! Best, Alex
Thank you Orlando. It's a bit faster than an oldschool techno - about 145bpm. But this is an experimental minimal-music track. Glad you liked it.
Best, Alex
Don't hear to much techno style on the loop now days so had to come and check this one out liking what I am hearing, good beat and synths matey, hoping to do some more techno tunes, haven't done any for a few years, so might work on one over next few weeks when doing some other genre's again rather then just trance...keep up the good work friend, fav...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
Hi Mosaic!
Many thanks for your comments. It's quite unusual for me and probably the first techno track I ever made. Inspired by 'Midnight Runner' by RenzWilde and some loops from a new member DanceDemegogue. I agree with techno being rarely exposed here but I always liked repetitive and minimal music so this was fun to make eventhough it is just an experimental track of mine.
Glad you enjoyed it. Best to you, Alex
Description : A short minimal tech track that I made earlier this year. It's about understanding a wild animal's loneliness, fear, and pain. I would understand if they hated me, and for sure "Us." I hope it effects you. I released this on Soundcloud previously, but thought the Looperfam might get into it. You can get the new Spivkurl album "Charting The Anomaly," which includes this track at the We Are... Records Capitalist Market found here: http://www.wearerecords.com/capitalistmarket.html
Description : W.I.P.
Mysterious intro continued by a hypnotic yet very energetic trip through different techno productions. I have at least 2 more techno parts to add and a few more scary booby traps. All together a 3/4 more mins to stack behind it. After that i'll run through the piece again, finalize mixing, master it and upload incl. download. Any feedback is welcome! MMMMMMMH FRESH MEAT!
Description : techno track, haven't made one of my own in a while. Now remastered with more noises. Created in FL Studio, but rendered in audacity (Fl is very bad at making mp3s). Let me know what ya think
Description : This is my epilogue
Modeled this song after Evolution by Hy2rogen
A rework of an old song "After The Fact" which I believe is still on my old profile on here. Enjoy or don't
Thanks for joining me on this wild ass ride. Fuckin crazy it's been 13 years of music. Insane. Thank you to everyone who's ever listened to a song I've uploaded whether on here as zacvoos or ApolloForce, or on my soundclouds as ZachUndefined, RunnerTwoThree, or ApolloForce. Thank you all.

I suggest you to listen closely to some jazz or classical tracks like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H51xGk0lMwk
or
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZQejr9lPn0
and see if it will somehow fit your system. If not there's no need to continue.
I can hear the music anyway... even though I do not have any sophisticated listening system at the moment.
Here's my today's drum and bass:
