This seems to have such a gentle nature, one which I would be well advised to hear and enjoy more often... and to practice myself. I think the mix is quite good, and sounds almost authentic to certain eras of jazz. Deeply engaging throughout! I like how the vocals forced me to listen more closely, while reaching for constructed meaning. Very psychedelic stereo field in certain parts of this track, which make my mind wander in a good way. I would love it if I could be dedicated enough to a single instrument to be able to play keyboards as you can. You seem to be able to communicate the feeling and emotion straight through your fingers... No small feat! Seriously cool track! It has been fun trying to dig through your playlist to find those which I have not experienced yet. Faved! Have a good day!
This piece of music is based entirely on an ascending repetitive bassline motif (notes: A-Bb-C). I really like all 'binatural' yet apparently weird sound qualities and experiences too - I simply keep things as much interesting as possible here (when by choosing the textures of music or colors and placing it in the space of natural-binatural perception of the recording). I much appreciate your nice comments. thank you so much!
In a week I will be participating in a public concert (as a performer this time lol) - I only need to recover my hands now to be able to play at least 'correctly' then so I will definitely experience a little refreshing time from my usual work hard activities at least over throughout next week. I will contact you as soon as I can! I was somehow busy with documenting all the organ instruments and learning new repertoire for example: https://soundcloud.com/user-882866857/sets/siedlce-ko-ci-garnizonowy https://soundcloud.com/user-882866857/sets/warszawa-bazylika-w-krzy-a-c
Thank you for making my track on of your favourites. Have a good day too! Alex
Alright, some Jazz! Very nice and gradual, sexy intro. Very capturing and smooth, instantly. At 1:11, there's a slight progression to a slight dance style beat, but the keys are still very powerful and doing its thing. Then soon, the Sax comes in, and this new transition beat comes on hardcore. It's not perfect with each other beat wise, but in Jazz like this, that's not needed. Everything flows perfectly. Then at 3:41, everything drops but the percussion and keys. Afterwards some nice smooth vocals, along with this (sounds like) improve synth-like sound. The outro is very nice. It transitions into a dance-like beat, then into a slow jam type, then back into its dance-like beat. Incredible track!
hi Ookami, Im really glad you enjoyed this track. It is so nice to read your detailed comment and know that some parts enchained your attention and you liked them. Very nice review - thanks a lot!
Alex
I agree with Static the intro is awesome. Ferry Terry has some awesome drum loops. I love the subtle placement of the instruments as the song builds. 1:25 is interesting percussion. Sax works well. Vocals need to be brought up a bit in the mix, guitar wacka's are nice. 3:41 sounds like a midi sax, I don't think it fits well. Until you start playing arpeggios with it, but I would mix it in the background more. Overall a fun and interesting ride you gave us, Well Done
Steve
hi Steve,
Thank you for your nice comments on the production. I'd rather say that I intentionally wanted to keep the vocals in the background... The wah-wacka's are from MrRay22 piano plugin - Im using it here also for bassline, soft rhodes in the background and soloing. I used the 'lazysnake' e-piano plugin as well to support the bassline. Agreed with keeping the solo synth lower in volume in the mix (at least at some parts). I like that though because it makes the track more dynamic and more 'fusion'.
Many thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed the music and the vibes.
Greetings, Alex
That's a great bell ride cymbal there. Rhodes low notes are kind of sensual and mysterious. And the right hand playing has your nice jazz touch.
Now some extra shaker and other percussion gently arriving.
1:25 a gentle fast dance bass drum.
1:51 sax solo is a bit of a surprise but fits well. You're still just using Rhodes for bass. Seems to be panned to the left.
Vocal is good when it comes in. This needed something new after that sax playing.
I still feel a stronger bassline could help the track but not having one makes it probably more chilled out and less aggressive.
3:41 kazoo sort of synth has some problems with it. It gets too loud and then drops off suddenly around 3:55. It's not a sound I like though the playing is fine.
Even though it's a 5 min track, it still seems a bit of sketch. I know you do your tracks very quickly. I'd like you to take some more time with tracks such as this and develop them into something with some stronger themes. Maybe make them less like a live improvisation and with better structure.
hi and many thanks for your time and listening! I really appreciate your nice comments.
I can only say that I spent on this about 4 hours and it was really hard to make. The ride cymbal is from EZ Funkmaster Jabo kits - couldn's find something that fits more the e bass than this. I used MrRay22 plugin for the Rhodes which is free but great and layered basses and solo parts with this to create dymanic and a kind of live performance ilusion. Synth sound (3:41) is also nice (Arp2600V emulation with some filtering). It stands out a bit from the rest, espetially from the stylish jazz sax lines but I like it.
About my work: I can play this bassline over and over and come up with some interesting variations. Here I had to loop it so I could go to the other elements of the song and finish the track in a relatively short time...
I totally agree with you. Its just a set of some smooth lines played on the top of the bassline. I hope I will have some more time for more deteiled work to develop the songs like this and find some unique style. I think its only a matter of time.
Many thanks for useful comments on this and glad you liked it!

Description : Every instrument is performed and recorder live. Piano, double bass, drums.
Instruments Used:
-"WELTMEISTER" upright piano (MADE IN GERMANY in 1938)
-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)
-TAMA Imperial Star + Pearl OMAR HAKIM snare + Various Ziljian cymbals.
I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : This is track me and my friend (great jazz, blues musician) done
around this great vocal we acquired.
Lot of hours in it.
I had great fun making it!
Hope you people like it.
Love and peace.
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.

Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?

Difficult to explain what I mean!
Good keyboard playing and chillout vibe.
