Description : Might be my finest piano play to date. It has a very dark feeling in the beginning, like a sort of omen.
I hope you all enjoy it ;)

Glad u Liked the remix, I created three distinct styles to give you a choice of what direction you might want to go in. The consensus so far seems to be the third movement in breakbeat style.
"though the strings you added in oddly faded in on the last notes of the piano"

Yeah I wanted to feature the strings on there own for a bit. As Eric also put it would be interesting to hear. I just did it before even reading that but I think he is right. The strings have value on there own as well.

In the future I will be working on a full length remix in the third style.

Very nice piece. It has a cinematic feel to me. It stands alone but would be curious to hear a nice, haunting melody vocal track version. Preferably female cause it would fit perfect imo.

    Excellent work

I really Like the last part, though the strings you added in oddly faded in on the last notes of the piano, I think expanding on the last part and trying to get it into that style would be really cool to hear, but maybe even more of the top with electric sounds all over the place.

But I must say these hardcore drums really add in a lot of energy, only thing I would change is the mixing there.

I am not sure if you were planning on changing this further or keeping it like this, but you surely surprised me with the blending of these styles and I like it :)

Well, I very much enjoyed this piece, Johnny. I'm partial to piano, so I guess that was part of it, but this composition was very interesting and really nicely done. I would have been interested in hearing the strings or other orchestral instruments take over the lead role from the piano periodically. You did have them playing in unison at times, and I think that's what gave the idea of switching off between them. Something to experiment with perhaps on your next opus! :)

Ok So I have started to sort out some ideas. (140 or 70 bpm) here is a sample of a dark remix I recently have done for Prelude.
    https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/152903
It was my melange of cinematic strings and vocals and I added all the rest. Love to know if this is a direction you would want to go in.

Very nice and subtle track. Very smooth and nicely composed. The piano and strings gave a gentle, yet powerful feel. The percussion choice is interesting because in various areas of your track, it gave a type of hip-hop feel, especially with the hat and clap patterns. This is incredible how you merged all these sounds together in such a dark, yet gracious way. Cheers!

Mm a hip-hop feel, interesting but now I listen to it I indeed notice it having a light flavor towards it. Let the rap remix begin haha

Challenge Accepted! "Barney Stinson" But Before I remix this I want to hear your thoughts on what you would want to hear in a remix understanding that my style is ridiculously eclectic and sometimes atonal. What elements do you absolutely have to hear in a remix? (This is a new Idea for me. I have to reach out and connect with the original artists to get a better feel of there work other than me just making some wild remix that fits my taste as well...I want some synergy!)

Interesting approach to remixing a song, I would say get that dark feeling into it but there isn't necessarily a sound that has to come back to it in my opinion

On the other hand electronics mostly go with upbeat kind of stuff

I think a fusion between orchestral and electronics could really work out well for this, tell me what you think

    Also again great idea :D

This track is very well composed I love I'm loving every minute of it. I dont typically heart tracks on here unless they are really good but your definatly gettin one from me. To be brutally honest though I didnt really care for the claps and open hats at 3.30 I think if you had something with more punch like some orchestra hits or something would make it more powerfull and emotional. Anyway whocares what i think.Love the ending piano solo! Nice freaking job !

    johnnyproducing
    Reply by johnnyproducing

Well I definitely care for what you think, I was planning on getting in some orchestral hits but didn't really have any sound that would do this track honor, the orchestral sounds I have seem to be limited so I might aim to expand those soon ;)

I am really glad you liked it and grateful for the favorite ;)
When I will produce another one of these I will try to keep your advice in mind ;)

Nice dark bit of piano playing. There's plenty of emotion going on which is what this type of stuff needs. Niceley in with the string section. There's a ton of good stuff going on here. Are you actually playing that? Or is it programmed? Either way i like the way it changes around the 2:30 mark. the melody carries really well and then the stings bring it up another level again.
    Really nice piece.

Well I play parts on my keyboard and from there on decide which direction I take it too (Don't do that in every track though but works especially well with piano tracks ;) )
And from there on I program them further and add different touches, this piano would else be only suitable in a duet since it uses notes between the chords which would else be close to impossible to play I think.
Here you have some insight on my way of working haha

But I am glad you liked it and appreciate the comment a lot
    :)
    Thanks ;)

    Hey Johnny

Mate saw this one on the feature list, so thought would drop by for a listen, so glad I did, very nice indeed, loving the piano, love using piano in my trance tracks, just wish I could play, fact you are playing the piano makes this track even more impressive, very nice strings working nicely with the piano and light beat/percussion, extremely pleasant listen...Fav big time matey...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...

Big thanks Mosaic for stopping by, I really appreciate your comment and I am glad the whole track was so satisfying.
I didn't play this piano in real time though, I use my keyboard for most of the piano stuff but add in different touches through programming them in my daw etc, else it would be very complicated to play this whole thing through haha.

Glad you liked the strings and percussion, decided it should stay like a sort of cinematic kind of percussion.

    Again big thanks Mosaic ;)

Very beautiful work Johnny. Loving the slow introduction of other instruments as well to give support to your piano playing. I would say that this was classic cinematics.

I considered doing the piano solo but decided it would take a lot of new piano progressions which are pretty hard to come up with after a while, so I decided to layer them for the variation to make it a slightly longer piece without letting it become boring after a while.

really nice piano playing. Reminds me a bit of some classical stuff like Paul Hindemith piano music (2:13 - 2:25). Sounds really interesting. Too bad you just layered the piano with other instruments instead creating some new parts... But this sounds really good like this so far and I really like it.
    Nice work.

I'm going in music school for 5 years, and I have to say - this is very good. Sounds very smooth and deep. Few dissonant chords, but it's positive thing in this genre. Strings follows the piano very nice... Really good job done here.

I have never been to music school (unless you count keyboard lessons as something, but not specifically for something like creating music with a pc )

But thanks for the kind words, kept some dissonant chords since it indeed fits with the genre and the genre usually offers a mixture between those different chord types

Thanks for the comment ;) Greatly appreciate it

Description : Hi, I just had to try and do my own type of music tribute to the sad and unfortunate events in Manchester the other night

I start the song off with a type of music box to represent like a young child and then i go into a violin strings to try and set the sadness and then after a while i used some soft drum and clicks to represent time ticking and then with just the piano and then in the middle of the track it picks up pace a bit and i decided on this because to represent the strength of the people that will stand strong and i once again also put the music box in with this and my reason was to be strong for the rest of the children and then i finsh up with the piano again and the ending on the drum to remember the lives sadly lost and a type of silence if it were

i really feel so sadened by this event and it trully has me in bits

may we all come together and forever be strong and stand up to these horrible people who think they can destroy us and our children and families and loved ones

God Bless you all and stay safe and be strong
