If you have time take a listen and give promenade2239 some feedback.
It's got a really simple, easy, relaxing vibe that can so easily be enjoyed. And some tight grooves. That very first vocal also sounds wonderful.
I think I prefer this to many of your others because the grooves are tighter and there's lots of good space and it has a really clear direction. It could definitely be a popular single - I totally agree with that view.
Oceanically has a great tone to her voice here and I also really like the little guitar breaks. Good to hear them repeated.
Does every track of yours have to end with a long, gentle fade?
I felt this should have been longer - at least 5 minutes.
Very nice late night sound to this.
I love the way some of you use Oceanicallys voice and lyrics so professionally.
It's something I have to learn but am still struggling with.
This is nice and easy to listen to but there is no way I can get someones vocals into anything without it sounding like crap no matter how good the vocals.
Well done on a very professional sounding piece of work.
Man, I'd hug ya if I were near ya!! You are correct, this is without a doubt your BEST work!!! If I were you, I'd release it as a single, like yesterday! Okay, enough with the exclamation marks...you get the idea...I love it. Well done, you.
this is an older song but somehow still fresh and maybe even better from all of what I am doing currently, I think. After an intense year on Looperman I will need probably new inspiration and simply new energy to keep going at the same rate. In few weeks I want to start something quite different - acoustic recordings on upright piano - I really want to get into playing more seriously sometime... Maybe later this year because real life is still too demanding. The other option remaining is to upload or bump up older tracks.
I am glad you enjoyed this song.
Thank you for the nice words and best to you,
Alex
There are a lot of nice subtle keyboard parts scattered about. The piano is nicely played, I liked the part about 1:10 especially. The guitar fills work and the vocal sample seems to enhance the overall feel of the track. I don't care for the sound of the hand claps, just personal I guess. Missed this one when you posted it, sorry Alex.
I appreciate your nice comments. This is an older production and probably one of the first here on looperman of mine. The vocal sample is from unexisting acapella but I could use only the short little fragment... Anyway at a time I had no mastering skills whatsoever so that's the reason for strange clap sound placement haha, there's no compression and it is very sketchy...
I played strings, e piano and the acoustic piano (both plugins) - all the rest (drums, bassline, guitar fills) were samples.
This is awesome! I love what you did here. Feels very dreamy-like. Feels almost like I was transported back to the eighties haha. The effects applied to Oceanically's voice was of good taste, my lad!
Thank you for nice words! I am happy you liked some of my older works - I wasn't really intertionally going for eighties feel and any kind of stylistical 'correctness' here. I simply 'combined' different sounds so to speak haha
Thanks again for listening to my music
and all the best to you,
Alex
This really makes me think you are very accomplished keyboard player! It sounds really good and the vocals work just right. Great job, nice feel, nicely put together. Love that acoustic piano sound.
Yea man, I like what you did with this. The vocals blend in smoothly. I agree with Adamms, real mellow. Relaxing, the guitar like sound echoing is really nice too. Dig it man, peace
Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.
Description : This improv recorded a few years ago powered my interest even further than I expected.....recorded using tc electronics pedal and tascam studio recorder and a Fender Squier tele electric....
Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.
Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.
Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."
Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice
Description : This track describes a magical state that I experienced a long time ago. Maybe you also know the feeling that you can't describe something like this with words ... luckily we have the music for it!
Description : So this is my first Chill Outish track. I was just trying something new and then suddenly this was a thing. Everything you hear is home made. I hope you enjoy. - Mr. Spook'd
Description : That's something i worked out lately
a swing 3/4 hip hop Chill ?? Don't know how to describe this kind of music.

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...

Loving almost everything !
the only thing I think you could do better is by cutting the outro at 2:59 until end to heard something you need to max your volume !
So I can call it a useless silence for sure if there are an artistic reason of that you should keep it.
