Description : Well the saying goes "Give the people what they want" - and who can argue w Ray Charles, right? Haha! So by popular request here it is - IMMT2U - way less acid! After listening a bit I can see how you guys got distracted by both guitars chattering at once - sorta like one trying to shout over the other. I compared both - I like the original. But maybe that's cuz I'm kinda schizo so I can deal. I think of it as sorta like f-ing two b*itches at once, but I can see how it may distracting to other folks. So anyways, here's to clean and deinsanitized version. Pack a bowl. :-D

Dude I could totally see Maynard James Keenan all over this bad boy. I also agree it's too short and could definitely use another part or two. Honestly with what you have this could be a 5 minute song easy with the right interlude. Maybe a tear down of the riffs and then build it back up or go off on another tangent and then bring it all back together at the end. And yeah, all of us guitarists mix our guitars way too hot. :)
Nice job with this so far, solid track that can be expanded a bit.
Thanks for the comments Vega. Yes, the track above is very Toolish - that's how Evisma writes - and yes it it just a partial track. Here's the whole track which I just added a riff at the end.
Loving it!!! I agree with StaticNomad almost entirely, and was almost thinking of it just being in the parts where I go down to the low C#. I tune to drop D and then everything down a half step. Drop C#. But you were not off any notes at all and I don't want you to redo what you have. Would like the track on it's own to fiddle with also. Your tone is sweet as HELL! Thanks again for taking your time and laying some awesomeness on it!
Gladja like it dude. OK so now ya got a good start so now ya gotta find the right people to do fill in the other parts so we can blow this tune up to the big time. We need top of the line drums - a superb producer/mixer, and of course lyrics and vocalist. Don't think I can help w lyrics on this one. Just nothin' comes to me. Someone else is apparently meant for that. If ya don't got any better ideas, ask Crucethus to see what me can do. He does great drumlines and production.
OK, as I said below - I'm done here. Will follow with the other tune. And then - whatever's next! :-) At some point I suppose I oughta work on my own stuff, huh? Haha! :-D
Yo. I commented on your previous attempt. I think this one's better and it's a decent, crazy lead part. However, I think the solo goes on for too long. From 0:56 to 1:13 I think it's just a bit too much and a bit too intense and also overshadows the bass and drums.
If you could come up with a less intense 20 or so seconds, I think it might help. Maybe some sort of soaring, heavily delayed, simpler part or just tasteful, delayed chords that ring out. That would also allow the bass to be heard again.
Also, the track is too short and doesn't feel like a full track.
The Toolesque stuff starting on 1:13 is cool (drums too) so lots more could be made of that.
Your observations are pretty much on target. This clip is actually only half the song. It's really just the part where the guitar break needs to be. And yeah, the guitar is too loud - don't all guitarists mix the guitar too loud? 8-D In the DNA I think. He'll mix it right or we'll get somebody who knows what the hell they're doing with mixing (like Crucethus maybe). I got my talents, but mixing ain't one of 'em.
One thing I'm not sure I agree about is the "soaring delayed simpler". Might work. Might not though. Sounds kinda like Ice cream with jalepenos to me - but hell - maybe! I just do tracks by what I feel. If I feel something compelling in a tune, that's what I'll contribute. My work here is done. And dude, if you got ideas for the track, by all means, show us whatcha got. Might be a good fit or a smart new direction.
The only thing I wanna do is work with some good artists, make some great tunes, and split a couple mil between us. A good artist can produce good work alone - but bands make much much better productions. The way I feel is let's all work together - let's see what we can do.
Frankly I think if the talent on Looperman all worked together - we would become a major label. Tasty food for thought, eh? :-)
Salaam.

Description : I asked Danke if I could add some vocals to his track Future Machine and he kindly agreed and sent me the track. The lyrics are about a soldiers experience in war as he and his trench mates are told to get up and out of their trench and attack the enemy across open fields. I can only imagine the fear, tension and chaos that goes through one's mind at that moment.
Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
Description : This unconventional metal track is dedicated to Valvedriver https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/841435 though it's not a parody of his fine music or me actively trying to sound like it. I struggled for months with the first few minutes of this track knowing that I must be able to take it somewhere deeper, more psychedelic and powerful. Then I loaded some sampled choir voice instruments, as used in my track Reckful https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/160356 and suddenly found myself happily in Valveland - not a place I visit often. Feeling amply Valvedriven and newly inspired, I added the last few minutes fairly easily and very quickly. So: it's a twisting, turning mixture of grunge, menacing ambient, mystical metal and ultra-heavy funk. Instruments: electric guitar+bass, synth basses, female choir voices, one synth pad, some other synths on the nastier side of things and a few programmed heavy acoustic drumkits playing a mixture of triplets and straighter grooves. Interesting thoughts appreciated. Favourite bits? Shit bits? Please listen on good headphones/speakers as there's a lot of heavy bass in this. Now get ready to rock: balls out, hands in the air and with rebellious joy in your heart. Just try not to headbang the hell out of your laptop. Go!
Description : Whats up guys?! Been a while I know. Iv'e moved around a lot but have finally settled down and have been hard at work with my metal band. Unfortunately I've had to put my solo work on hold for a bit while I'm recording with the band. We are being professionally recorded now, a very big step up from the last recording of my band that I posted here. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! We are, Raze The Pyre.
