thanks! i am still unable to send midi data on channels other than 1 for multi-channel VSTi like kontakt. maybe now there is a way? haven't checked in a while. other than that i also enjoy using it :)

Zootman 29th Sep 2024 23:40 - 2 years ago

This sounds just as good or better even on another couple of listens. I really like your work here, being bit of a fan of 'world' music and desert blues like Ali Farka Toure. By the way, I took your advice and fixed up the mix on One Life. Reduced the level on the cymbal track a touch as well as tweaking the brightener plug in on the overall drum bus. Sound much better now, you can hear the clean delay guitar fx much better. Cheers Chris

doudei replied 5th Oct 2024 - 2 years ago

thank you, chris, not just for the kind words, but for taking the time to listen - multiple times even! i really appreciate it.
also i am happy that my suggestions were useful. just listened again with headphones and indeed it's a subtle but effective change you did - nice! :)

atw 29th Sep 2024 16:06 - 2 years ago

dimestop 28th Sep 2024 19:51 - 2 years ago

hey bro really nice composition as we have only just sort of linked, and older tracks are older tracks, we tend to check the newer stuff you have some great stuff, stick some of yours in archive on Discord your favourites so we get a chance to have a listen to your back catalogue and if you got vid or artwork too we can see it all because of our embedded player as you know, i do like having that option to share a full production graphics included

doudei replied 5th Oct 2024 - 2 years ago

thanks again Paul, your feedback and info are much appreciated.
will definitely upload more tracks and snippets from time to time. also got some covers and copyrighted stuff that is not allowed here anyway.

A great mashup of interesting loops. But it is the same with good food. It is not only the ingredients alone, it is the cook who makes them tasty :-) Brilliant work.

doudei replied 5th Oct 2024 - 2 years ago

thank you very much for the "chef's kiss", VintageNights!
hold on - are you really a radio host, systems engineer and own a bakery? if so then that is really awesome, well done :)
thanks for taking the time to listen and write - glad you enjoyed the music

mystery meets curiosity? not much to say on this one other than it is abstract sounding. only sax is helping me to keep the tonal grasp. very cool and it is in very slow motion. I really like that.

doudei replied 5th Oct 2024 - 2 years ago

Alex, my dear friend
wow, it's been almost a decade since your comment. i'm so sorry i never replied! not sure if you'll even see this now, but if you do, please reach out and let me know how you're doing. maybe you've got discord? either way, i'd love to stay in touch if you're still in the business and chat about music and life. i hope all is well with you, brother

Description : I'm gonna file this under Drum and Bass due to the beats I used. Though it's probably not DnB in the strictest sense of the word, as it starts off with a Cinematic vibe till the beats kick in (apologies for that, as I don't have a vast knowledge of DnB!). Apart from the beats and a couple of other loops, all synth/bass parts are played by me using ThornCM, Poly Max and Z3ta+ vst's. Let me know what you think? All feedback is always appreciated. Thanks.

Description : Technology is a great thing. But I'm glad to know that if it ever fails ... or simply isn't there ... I can always play my guitar or drums, or just sing. In any case, the power didn't go out during this production ... so it's electric. And eclectic.
