You had me from the first second on this one, with that slappy percussion and stumbling piano. Love the vocal repetition as backing. As with many of your pieces, there's that dark edge, that sense of sadness, that shadow of emotion. I like the slow stately march of the piece. It's a heavy head-bopper - deep, hard, shoulder-cringing bops. Nice use of organ - I like how you tend to go for the unusual sounds. Great stuff.

Well, I really wanted to pay homage to my so dear and exceptional friend, Stef de Noakiss, who wrote this jewel of a poem . Sorry if I don't allow myself a translation of it, but this would waste and dilute the magic of his words .
It's about a dream and I wanted to make a peaceful and _ as much as possible _ aerial music for it .
Beside, this is not sad . Maybe the vox sounds sad but the words are full of quietness and hope .
But you guessed right, there are a few sad trials on my page, CM .

    Merci beaucoup for everything,

    Peace ;)

I was born in the the states but have some years of being taught in the french language. Well like that say if you don't use it you'll lose it and i pretty much lost it. So i can't tell anyone what you were saying but i enjoyed the song and it has an amazing presence to it.

    Well done

Yes, you're right . To keep an foreign language fluent is quite tough .
The lyrics are a poem by my dearest friend who honestly writes marvellously well . When I have time, I may add a translation of the French lyrics in my tracks .
Thx for the time you spent on my page tonight .
    Cheers ;))

Everything you do is pure gold Janis and this is possibly my favourite one yet. everything in the mix is exactly where it needs to be the singing is spot on again and this tune is a killer.
Anyone who doesn't like this record must have a hearing problem. Audio silk.

I was, once again, deeply inspired by my friend( Stef de Noakiss)'s gorgeous poem . He is the key to my creation and his words always whisper to my heart . I wish you could get the meaning of that text . I won't translate though, 'cause you always lose a great deal of the spirit when it's done .
Anyway, I bow again in front of your undeniable talent and thank you warmly for your very kind words .

There are times when words completely fail me....

This is one of those times. I have no adjectives to adequately describe your work. All I can do is smile, stand and applaud your efforts.

Exquisite work, like a multifaceted audio diamond created by a master craftsman.

    Bravo.

I am captivated by this track. Your vocal is exquisite and the dissident piano adds a haunt that contributes to the story. Although I do not understand French, I can hear a story in your delivery.

Description : This song highlights a few different styles of jazz. First it starts with a kinda early 20s and 30s groove. Than it melds into a New Orleans style. Than into a sort of Maynard Ferguson big band jazz/rock groove, and finishing off with the 20s and 30s style again, all held together with some cool horns and bass. All n all, it's...Pretty Cool! Hope you like

Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...

Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Music by Antonio Carlos Jobim. This particular piano arrangement is from one of jazz sheet piano books I found on scribd. The electric piano is MrRay22 plugin which I played on Casio CDP220 digital piano. This is also a new piece that I learned today so it was quite tricky to get a proper touch at places and overall make the entire thing sound anywhere realistic. I tried many times and this was probably the best take. Also I am relatively new to playing latin piano music. I didn't manipulate any notes after recording - instead I added few virtual vintage amps. I choose jazz but it is a bossa nova latin style. Enjoy and feel free to comment and download.

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...
