Almost 8 hours of work.
Description : mix of blues & urban...
Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Description : Just some fun instrumental sliding in open G, GDG, on The Lone Rider fretless 3 string guitar. Rythym played using a ceramic slide by Evolution stoneware, lead using a Mojoboneworks bone/wood slide, both handcrafted as well as the guitar. Been a while, good to be back B-)
Description : A gentle, reflective and beautiful shuffle blues piece featuring one of my best ever electric guitar solos (for about half of it). Also has bass guitar, synth bass, two programmed acoustic drum kits, two types of sample-based sitars, a heavenly pad and a distinctive main string part. Special, text-based prizes to be awarded to the best comments!
Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.
Enjoy and download away.
Description : I've been recording/playing alot of downtempo clean tone stuff so thought it's about time for something a bit more upbeat. Played on my 3 string fretless Lone Rider homemade guitar with a wine bottle neck slide By J. Ross Guitars, Boneshaker 2 string cigar box bass, addictive drums. Love it or hate it, I'm having way too much fun and that's what counts :D
Description : A comfortable rhythm, simple yet incisive. Contains a loop from GuitarGuru plus a number of Sony Music Studio loops. I hope you enjoy it.
Description : Homemade 3 string fretless cigar box guitar, 5 string bass, addictive drums. Getting closer to that cbg album completion, 'Vastlands' :D mix may need tweaking, these headphones add bass. Try and stay dry in that cave, but be careful, you never know what lurks in the darkness behind!! Very pink floyd like,. Enjoy.
Description : Been away for a while. I am doing something I usually don't do with this one. Here is a blues track I put together in a day. It features everything being done by me, with improvised solos for each instrument. This was done using Fl Studio 12 and my Korg M50 keyboard. I plan on adding lyrics to it down the road and having everything much cleaner. Anyhow, enjoy!
Which Solo did you guys like best?
2:18 Guitar Solo
3:57 Piano Solo
5:34 Synth Solo
7:13 Bass Solo
Description : Cosmic Eastern chillout atmospheric shuffle blues with loads of bluesy/Eastern electric guitar playing and warm sub bass (the same synth patch I've used in about 20 tracks). No drum loops and just two programmed acoustic kits - probably the simplest drum setup I've ever used. One day I hope to make a track containing only one drum kit. Also: a few female vocal samples (including a heavily timestretched one), one section of bass guitar, a few sample-based string instruments, a few notes of organ and two synth pad instruments. So, quite a minimal instrument lineup for me. It goes uptempo around 4:31 into a grooving, stomping bit of shuffle blues and I wonder if I should have brought this section back at the end for a triumphant finale. But I'm trying hard these days not to make things too long and this is already a decent length. Also contains some darker, Eastern sections but nothing too dark. Have a listen and leave me some interesting feedback - the more detail, the better.
Description : Simple blues, rough mix. Composed with my friend Costa Zbinden. We will appreciate if someone would add some vocals! Sirup: guitars. Costa Zbinden: guitars and keys. Alex Richard: bass. Claude Barbotte: Hammond. With my own drum loop (here on Looperman, genre blues).
Patricia. Great production. Your vocals shine!
Hi Patricia - this is definately the kind of musical setting that suits your voice best. Great soulful bigband number from you both - top job guys!
Jamie.
Wow Patricia ....
Many things have been written below, and I'm running out of argument.
Still, I can not pass without leaving a little comment. This time also, it is surprising professionalism ....
As I have already written here, you were done you two to meet you on this musical road.
While Richie is scarce, and that it remains in the shadows, I know it produces for our pleasure .... prove here ....
Thank you both for this Magic moment.
Dan
Well I'm listening to this through a new pair of cans...every nuance is revealed..Sweeeeeeet! Like someone got a cocktail shaker, poured in some over-proof happiness,a month of sunshine, four fifths of contentment and a few blocks of life's purpose......Patricia I have absolutely no idea how you manage to get the performances you deliver so spontaneously..I mean I have some inkling of the process, but you radiate rather than project,if ever there was a case of God given talent you may very well be a legitimate recipient.......The music is first class and even more notable is the fact that as a premeditated construct you would expect a certain amount of regimentation and constriction in a made to order composition, quite the opposite prevails, here's a living breathing self sustaining creation, every phrase right down to the closing cymbal tail is fantastic!....almost too good! lol
A great song. Just listening, I felt how my last muscle to move. A great pace, with some truly extraordinary voices and perfect music. great solo
Man, that break to the bass & the guitar part that follows is genius Richie...and the rest of the accompaniment is what many of us would strive for without reaching....and Oh Yeah...super vocal patricia (as always) and really nice job by Richie placing the harmony parts in the mix....most soulfully cool rendition by our fav duo...with a wee touch of Motown vibe thrown in for good measure....Ed
When I see a collaboration with you and Richie, I always know it is going to be something special indeed....and I was not disappointed on this one.
Richie is an absolute genius and one of the few musicians who can reach the same level as your vocals. This is outstanding work (that bass line is just fantastic).
As Nick said, "We are not worthy."
But I'm glad you two share your talents with all of us.
Bravo.
Bear
PS>>> Thanks for the download!!!!
i don't know if you two are planning to take your collaboration s to another level but you guys have a beautiful music chemistry that seems to fit and it just keeps getting better and better...like a rose in a vase...perfect
Peace
Yeah! Everthing Wayne said!
I'm trying to pidgeon hole this track but it's kind of in it's own category. How about just "great, smooth & sexy" genre?
Anyone that reviews this and just puts "great track" is wrong.
It's much better than that and it makes rubbish music look even worse. (so i'm just off to work a bit harder on my latest track lol)
FR
You are such an awesome singer and you can add the backups like a pro. Such a catchy track. Loved that bass walking before the lead. Overall a great listen. Richie and you should go on tour, I would be first in line for tickets. The bass is a bit, I don't know, puffy, it's hard to explain. It could be my sub set incorrectly(prob is that)Well from my system that is the only thing I hear, other than that, this is top shelf. The writing, arrangement is incredible, you guys hit another level of greatness!! How do you top this one!
