This is Stunning. Well ,any song that has Patricia is guaranteed FIRE! Top notch performance and production. Im left speechless after the guitar solo. NOW Im 1 and done. FAVED Peace
I could be wrong but I have an observation: I think you might be a 'rhythm' person as the guitar solo does not seem 'planned' but rather done as it goes :)
Yep,you got me,Storm ;) I´m a drummer first and a drummer at heart so of course rhythm is VERY important to me.
That solo is actually a first and only take.Just before recording i played around with those 4-5 first notes that ends in the 5th interval. Then i hit record and what you hear is the first and only take. The synth that doubles the guitar in the solo, every note of it was put in there by hand...argh,lol.
And that mix didnt come easy either.I think it took me 3 or 4 days of just listening and balancing sounds out ,little by little. And that 3-4 days was after ive already done a basic mix. I went microscopic with this song, you could say, lol.
By the way,i dont even have any fancy speakers or anything. Its all about your ears! Dont ever believe otherwise :) All you need is time,no distractions and REALLY just listening every little thing.
GOD bless you,Storm and thanks for the good feedback :)
WOW what a great tune. Drums are rocking along with the great guitar solo. Loved the Guitar Hook! The Drums Bass and Guitar drive this baby with nobody straying (TIGHT). MIM4E´s vocals put the icing on the cake and this baby is a winner!! Outstanding JOB!! Where's the FAV Button when you need it!!LOL Filaofsoul
Wow,sir...you obviously got something out of this song, heh. Yes sir,i kept it tight as can be so the listener would focus on the vocals and lyrics more. Its all about respecting those sweet vocals ;)
I am really honored to read your comment sir cos looking at your list of fav.music and albums..pheeew.....you sir,you know your stuff :)
" The Drums Bass and Guitar drive this baby with nobody straying (TIGHT)" That nails it right there! You got it ,sir!
All sounds are supporting the vocals and when the guitar solo comes, then the whole band supports the guitar with all they got but TIGHT! When it comes to music...if it aint tight,it aint right,LOL
Lol,yes where is the fav button and also a "quote" button would be nice in here.Oh well, minor details only ;)
GOD bless you for the comment, sir and thank you :)
Hey, this is excellent. What a really well thought out track. Great riffs and nice groove. Love the drums, nice and punchy, lovely guitar work too. Fabulous solo. A very different interpretation of the MIM4E acapella. Great job. Love it.
Thank you so very much for your enthusiastic comment,Richie :) You know what,...always when i listen to MIM4E´S vocals,a song just comes out of nowhere.Somehow her vocal style just lights me right up.
Yep,the drums are punchy indeed.Nice observation there ;) For me it´s a goal to make everything equal in a mix.Of course sometimes you have to choose what is the loudest but if you work very hard, you can make all equal. I hate it when one instrument eclipses everything else.
But of course, for MIM4E´s vocals,i am ready to push others back a bit :D
Heheh, that solo was meant to be a LOT stranger,i was about to make a real bizarre solo that would be out of time even in places, lol. Sometimes i rrrreally like to push it,hahah. But in the end i made the solo a little easier. Now the solo hints at that weirdness in few places.
Thank you for the great comment,Richie. GOD bless you :)
Awesome Sasu74!
This is fantastic, the production and that guitar...I am biased and it's great my friend...and the bass, where did that come from,no matter, you did magic with this song...I love it!
Heheh, yes sir,i am biased towards the guitar too so i can understand ^^ Thank you for the kind words,Allen :)
When i mixed this one,i was visualizing the drums, keyboards, bass, guitar and the vocals, all playing it live in a big room. That helped me thru the mixing for sure. But of course,i go by these ears that ive been given so thank GOD for that :)
The bass comes from this simple sample player. Those are real bass samples of some older Fender bass,Fender Presicion i think. But of course, pretty much every note is what i would´ve played with a real bass.
Nice to read comments from a real music lovers like yourself, sir :) GOD bless ya :)
Wow! Now that is some serious compliment! Thank you Romi :)
That guitar riff that you mentioned was just a melody that forced itself into the song, lol.
Originally, when i heard that riff in my head,it was played by something like Hammond organs. But when i played it with the guitar,i knew that that riff could be a theme on its own in the song ;)
Sometimes things just WORK,you know? And with Muzic´z GREAT vocals, miracles happen.
Thank you for the kinds words.GOD bless you :)

==============
Inspired by a track of Pseudoble. I was noodling along to his track "I wish I didn't know" (which is awesome) and had the words "Snow in Athens" in my head. This with the smooth jazz/fusion atmosphere led me to this track with a sort of Steely Dan feel.
Description : It is an elegy, in a modern world. There is fuss and there are sentiments. All together create a scenery where life takes place.
I really hope you like it.
Description : This track is built around the repetitive lead guitar line which I have previously incorporated as an intro for the rocker track "Sweetheart Runner" by LM user TinyFinger whom I have helped in arranging, mixing and producing his song. This extended session was a good oportunity to test some new equipment....Thanks to Tiny for not being mad about it...:)^^
Description : Psychedelic blues hip hop with lead banjo and acoustic resonator slide guitar. Acoustic drum kits, fat basslines, soaring filtered strings, some strong Eastern elements (from guitar and strings), some dub and funk from the bass and drums and a bit of rocking electric guitar. Very unusual piece of music and a trip like no other I've heard. Some of it is like a dark, deep Southern delta blues track over a hip hop and dub backing. All played and programmed by me, no loops used.
After a quite turbulent long travel we’ve reached a totally unknown planet which is mostly covered with clouds. As we pass over it we can see parts of rivers through the clouds that come out of the dark rocky surface in some places. So the whole scene is alternating textures of white, dark gray and silver flashes. Unfortunately there’s no chance to land anywhere so we just pass, wonder and travel on …
Description : I had to go in on this track. This is a future bass, electrofusion song. I posted the full version here full the Looperfam because you guys give me sooooo much support. I can never thank you all enough.

Description : Messing around with my midi keyboard (I am no pianist as you will hear). Just a bunch ideas put together with guitar and keys. Don't miss the end :-) it shows the obvious lack of inspiration to find a decent ending of the so called musician! This track is work in progress all ideas are welcome!
